Needing something sweet after a days drive, we gave Graeter's a try. This clean, bright, inviting place was just the ticket. The servers were eager to help and there was enough staff to keep the line moving. Lots of yummy flavors of ice cream to choose from - I got the peanut butter chip. It was delicious! Creamy ice cream with a soft peanut butter flavor and large chunks of smooth chocolate - mmmm! We all left in a good mood with happy tongues and tummies! Definitely a place to visit when in the Lexington area. read more

Highly recommend this is probably one of the best ice cream you ever eat. I recommend the lemon pie and the chocolate raspberry.

I usually never go to Graeter's but the had something special. The special when I went was lemon meringue pie ice cream. I never knew this existed. I asked for a sample and it is all that it said it would be. I love all lemon favorited foods. I only purchased a single scoop, which was $6.04. I remember why I don't go to Graeter's. But I will say today it was well worth it. read more

We went to get ice cream at the Graeter's location in Hamburg. It is back off a road after you turn off Man O War. You would have to know you wanted ice cream and look up the address because it is not a location you might pass by chance. My husband had Mocha chocolate chip and my son had cookies and cream. A single scoop was a little over $5. We enjoyed our ice cream and the shop was clean and comfortable. Mine was bourbon chip and was really good. read more

I've known about Graeter's for years thanks to Unwrapped on the Food Network and we've been able to get their ice cream at the grocery store, but this is the first time we've been able to come to one of the shops. Their ice cream is even better when it's fresh and the birthday cake and buckeye blast flavors were absolutely amazing and so, so very filling. One scoop is enough for two people and it's definitely an ice cream shop that you have to try! read more

When it comes to ice cream, I'm a purist. I want to taste the flavor of the ice cream without distraction. But, Graeter's always sends me a Birthday Sundae, and I just go for it. Cold as it was today, I went and had the Chocolate Coconut Almond Dream Sundae, minus the marshmallow. 8 read more

I have no idea why I made it here soooooooo late. But better late than never! Loved their flavors!! And the staff is so friendly!

Honestly I was quite disappointed - I was told this is a must try in Ohio/Kentucky but I honestly prefer Häagen-Dazs over this. The flavors weren't bad but it was nothing special. read more

Wow... just wow. If you've read any of the reviews I've written you'll realize I'm a bit of an ice cream addict. Graeter's ice cream is top notch. It's smooth, creamy and rich in flavors. My husband and I were in Lexington for a few days. On the third night we stopped at Graeters and I got one small scoop of their double chocolate. It was so good- I was scraping the sides and the bottom of the bowl. The next day I kept thinking about that ice cream so we went back. I got a scoop of cherry chocolate chip and another scoop of the double chocolate. Way too much ice cream, but I ate every bit. If you're in the area of a Graeter's Ice Cream, I highly recommend stopping by and getting some. read more

I wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was tasty and the staff were friendly. We ordered, prepackaged vegan ice cream, brownie al La mode with vanilla ice cream, scoops of cookies and cream along with another cone of birthday cake and peanut with Reese's ice cream. It was all delicious! All the staff were helpful and encouraged tastings! There is plenty of seating and have packaged chocolates for sale. The only drawback I noticed is there is an unpleasant smell that fills the store (like old spilled milk that was not properly cleaned up). It may be due to a sink filled with murky water that is appears to hold the utilized ice cream scoopers. (Which staff use to scoop your order). Seeing the water may have you rethink if you want to order from the establishment (the only downside). read more

The ice cream here is silky smooth and very tasty. So many different flavors. The staff are young for the most part and are usually very happy to serve you. The decor is minimal. Lots of ice cream attitude. Appropriate decor but like I said minimal. It screams ice cream shop though. It's a happy place for kids and adults alike! read more

Ice cream is amazing. Very creamy and flavorful. The prices are good but the amount of ice cream is a bit less than I'd expect. Will try another location next time to see if the scoops are comparable. But again, very tasty ice cream read more

Graeter's Ice Cream - I had to use the spoon to lift the ice cream so it would be present in the picture otherwise the ice cream was below the rim. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Lexington, Kentucky

Very good, but my ice cream bar is high. With 3 kids, I've tried a LOT of ice cream and search out highly rated places on vacay. I sampled three - cookie dough chip (good), brown butter almond (fair), and blackberry chocolate chip (really good). I went for the latter. I did like it a lot, because it was different. My daughter also sampled the cookie dough chip, but ended up with cotton candy. She liked it, but she's 7 and it's ice cream. She stills says this was 5 stars for her. They have a cute patio with a few tables, but it faces a parking lot and construction. My ice cream melted quickly in the summer heat. read more

The service was friendly, the food was great, and the ambiance was positive. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in here after sushi dinner. Who doesn't love a good ice cream cone! I ordered dark chocolate fudge brownie with sugar cone- it was a big scoop so I had them put into a bowl. My friend had strawberry and her boyfriend had cookies and cream. The ice cream was sweet, rich and yummy!! The service was fast and organized and servers were friendly. I would definitely go back- heck - there are still more flavors to try read more

Graeter's was pretty good. The staff was very accommodating of a nut allergy. I had the raspberry chip and the dark chocolate chip. Both were kind of too cold to the point that they didn't have a lot of flavor. read more

Stopped in here with my daughter during our Mother's Day celebration day date. The service was great and the ice cream always delivers! They have seating both inside and out. Love that they have non- dairy options. It's tough having a lactose sensitivity, the sorbet hit the spot! Very refreshing! They do have a rewards program but since we don't visit often we didn't sign up. read more

They make icecream how they have making it for years. And it shows in the quality . Lovely thick icecream. Tables to sit and enjoy outside

Some of the best ice cream around! I always love Graeter's. It's GRAET! I recently tried the buckeye blitz flavor, which is chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate and some kind of peanut butter chips. It was very good but very rich, I couldnt finish it! I also tried the honeycomb flavor that my husband got, and it was really tasty. He really enjoyed the honeycomb pieces. Can't wait til next time! read more

Creamy, delicious, addictive ice cream! So many great flavors to choose from and do not snooze on their limited editions!! Good portions and you can sample as many flavors as you want. I ding one star for price - you can buy a pint for almost the same price as a scoop in a cup!! Pro tip - sign up for their rewards if you go often-ish. The points accumulate pretty quickly. read more

I absolutely love Graeter's ice cream. Nothing beats the chocolate hunks in their ice cream. The workers are always real friendly and the place is always clean. The prices are a little steep so it's a special treat for us but it's so good! read more

This is almost a hidden location! Tucked away behind gas stations and fast food near a hotel, it is very easy to miss this spot if you didn't know it was here.... or if you didn't do a search for ice cream like I did. I was so confused driving here --- thought the directions were wrong until we actually pulled into the lot. Wow. We were delighted to come here for a treat after seeing a movie in Hamburg. Spacious location (most of the seating is outside, though), very friendly employees, and yummy ice cream! They will gladly let you sample many flavors before you pick a serving. My husband was also excited they were serving (at the time) ice cream in mini baseball helmets and he got a Chicago Cubs one. Happy to have a Graeter's near Hamburg.... .... once we found it! read more

Super delicious ice cream! Double chocolate chip and black raspberry are some of my favorites though you really can't go wrong with any of their flavors! Everyone is always very nice whenever I visit and you can sample any of the flavors before you buy it. Don't forget to download their app as you can get free ice cream on your first visit and you get reward points (you can scan your receipt into the app for points). read more

I always love Graeters. They just released a seasonal flavor - S'mores - and I am so excited!! I had the opportunity to try this new flavor with a few friends and it's delicious! It's just what I expected and I'm sad that it will only be seasonal. My all-time favorite Graeter's flavor is cookies and cream and honestly nothing can beat it, not even the S'mores flavor. I have had ice cream all over the world and Graeter's cookies and cream is still at the top of my list. I also offer a free sundae on your birthday which is so much fun. Their locations are nice places for families, friends or even a dessert date. read more

I have loved Graeter's since I was in college! Tonight was my 4th trip to the Hamburg location. The staff follows covid precautions and is always friendly and helpful. I usually order curbside through the app, but decided to go in tonight! I got a medium raspberry chip milkshake and it was amazing. I also love the 1870s tower, chocolate chip wheelie and the banana split! You really can't go wrong with any of the ice creams. They are reasonably priced ($5 milkshake)! It doesn't get better than Graeter's Ice Cream. I went to grad school in the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, so there was always a Graeter's nearby. When I moved to Lexington, I was thrilled to discover I could still get my ice cream fix. When we decide to indulge, my husband and I usually just grab a pint (or two...) from Kroger or Meijer, but occasionally I'm craving a waffle cone or a flavor that isn't currently in stores (toffee chip, for example. It's one of my faves, but I've only found it in a grocery store once). Employees are always friendly and let you try the flavors before deciding. But let's be honest, they could be total monsters and the ice cream would make up for it. All of the flavors with chocolate chips are to die for. The cookies and cream is amazing, too, but is only an option if I'm getting two scoops...because I never pass up the chocolate chips. Gigantic chunks of chocolate that melt in your mouth: perfection. Double chocolate chip, black raspberry chip, toffee chip, and salted caramel chip are my all time favorites. And the banana splits? OMG. The sundaes are good too. What? I've eaten a lot of Graeter's in my day. I'm telling you, it's the best. read more

Very convenient off 75, just off the beaten path. A little hidden if you're not familiar with the area in a strip mall behind Malone's. Very fast and friendly service, no issues giving the kids a sample spoon. Have a specialty chocolate chip in signature flavors - very big and plentiful in the ice cream. Kids enjoyed the waffle and sugar cones that were dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. Looks like rotating flavors monthly, also offer ice cream cakes and ice cream and packaged candy to go. Recommend! read more

This location is one of two Graeter's locations in Lexington. Located in Hamburg, the location is tucked away. If you don't know about it, you may never casually pass by it. It's a franchise that started in the 1800s in Cincinnati, so they've had a long time to perfect ice cream. They sell a variety of options. You can sample as many as you'd like before choosing what you want to order. They have seasonal flavors and to-go options. The last time that I was here, I had a good ol' banana split. It also like the cookies and cream option... it's my favorite version that I've ever had anywhere. I probably wouldn't have even tried it had I not have gotten a sample of it. We don't have many ice cream options in Lexington, but this is one of the best, either location actually... it's some darn good ice cream. read more

I have been casually looking for this place for months. It's kind of tucked back on the quieter side of Hamburg and it was very easy to overlook. It's on the corner facing away from the road of a newer strip mall and in the evenings, light in the parking lot is entirely nonexistent. We almost drove by just thinking it was closed, but my wife's ice cream stomach made me drive around for another look. Once we got inside, it was the same clean and friendly atmosphere you expect from Graeter's. read more

Expensive ice cream shoppe. It is bright and airy with plenty of seating and parking. Located right off the interstate, so a convenient location. The kids who served us were very friendly and polite.. They will let you try samples of their ice cream. I had one scoop of salted caramel and it was excellent but it is hard for me to pay almost $5 for one scoop of ice cream.
