I am still a fan, nothing will change; however, I was kind of sad that they did not have flavors that I had seen on an advert for taco day. So what happened was, I found out that since today was National Taco Day; I would look up all the different events happening and I had seen Cold Stone doing a taco cone. From one website there were three premade ice cream tacos (shown in the pic). When I had gone in to ask, the guy had NO IDEA what I was talking about. He just basically allowed me to pick any flavor to put in the cone and that was that. Additionally, I had asked about how I should go about getting the fudge dipped taco cone and he stated that "They did not have time to dip them in fudge." :'( One other complaint was whether they may have had a bigger plate; however, since I never asked and it melted in my car; I do not hold it against Cold Stone (purely my fault). We were totally shocked with what we actually received when ordering what we should only euphemistically call an "ice cream" cake from this place. We ordered a cake with half chocolate and half mint chip ice cream. What was delivered was a $43.00 cake with an absolute molecular amount of chocolate ice cream and absolutely no mint chip ice cream. No one was in the front when I walked in but a young mean quickly came up to help me. The selection looked fresh and not worked over. I got my ice cream and a Caramel Apple to go: I love that this spot still has the apples as another location I frequent got rid of their apples. The atmosphere was quiet and welcoming and it a rich smell. There is ample parking out front and even some out door seating. Really vote location. read more

I am diabetic and can only have a sweet treat once or twice per year. I asked my husband for a ColdStone red velvet BIRTHDAY cake for my March 2 birthday. Imagine my surprise when my clueless hubby surprised me with an old Valentine's Day cake from ColdStone, shaped like a heart, with none of the cream icing, covered in chocolate. I didn't get to taste my birthday cake this year. To make it worse, they didn't give him a discount, just told him it was a birthday cake, while selling him a Valentine's cake. Came in one evening for some ice cream. Placed an online order for two ice creams, one Like It and one Love It, each with one mix in. Went inside and waited in the line, which was out the door, until I got to the worker. I told him we had a mobile order under my name and he made it. When we opened it up in the car, both were completely messed up. We replaced the order, and then had to wait in the line (now even longer). It came out right this time, but as the worker handed us the ice cream he said "you don't have to wait in line for mobile orders." There needs to be a sign or something on the app that says that! Good ice cream though, but for better service and value Andy's is much better. read more

The ice cream is great but it smells like actually poo the second you walk in. It's not even the kind of stink that is somewhat noticeable, it's an aroma that is inescapable. Every inhale through the nose is a fight for survival in which you will always lose. Standing by the door? Smells like poop. Ordering? Smells like poop. Wherever you are the stench is omnipresent. So much to choose from!! My eyes were bigger than my stomach, go for the small waffle cone and to be quite honest, forget the cone, put your ice cream in a bowl. It was all I could do to finish the ice cream, the waffle cone was just for looks, lol. The flavor I chose was peanut butter cup with extra peanut butter. I'm a sucker for peanut butter. I took my daughter to get ice cream. We both love Rocky Road and we were in the Hamburg area. Our first stop was to Freddy's Ice Cream. No Rocky Road!! Really... Our next stop was to Graeter's Ice Cream and again... no Rocky Road. Really... Before we went to another spot I call Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream and Bingo!! They not only have Rocky Road but made it in front of me. Now that's customer service at its finest. Sweet. We arrived at Cold Stone Creamery and the place was clean, it was around 1230 (lunch) and there were two employees working. We were greeted with a smile and gave them our order. Their Rocky Road was tasty. I also noticed they are dog friendly (they have treats) and other items besides ice cream. Great job Cold Stone Creamery for being customer driven!! This is a true ice-cream experience. It's different compared to Graeter's or Baskin Robbins. They got so many topics you can choose from and so many combinations. They can literally make any concoction you want. The lines are pretty long, though and they normally have 2 or 3 max behind the counter and limited seating. Might be good for take out to enjoy at home or out on a park bench if you have the time. Also, they sing when they get a tip to make things interesting and original. As well as entertaining. I will give you the good first; the staff are always friendly and the shop is clean. The not so good notes are it's really expensive for just ok ice cream and the shop is totally cramped. If you're eating outside or taking it home it's better. I've tried several combinations but it's just like store bought to me. The truffles are nothing special at all. I've tried every one. The candy is the best thing they offer but again VERY expensive. They make the candy somewhere else and drive it to stores every couple of weeks. That explains why it's so costly. I truly prefer another ice cream shop in Hamburg but after a great meal at Bonefish, it's nice to walk a few steps to get a treat to top off the evening. Staff was very friendly, BUT, I was very disappointed. I ordered the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection in Love It size, and it was disappointing. The guy put one Reese cup in it and slapped a spoonful of peanut butter in there. I had to search the cup for actual peanut butter cup. It was supposed to have chocolate fudge in it per the menu, but that was left out, too. Now, I'm not complaining because Lord knows I don't need the extra calories but that was major false advertising. I'm paying almost $6 for a cup of ice cream and you throw one Reese Cup in there and don't even hardly mix it in? What a waste. I should have went to Meijer and got a tub of Ben & Jerry's or I could have gotten chocolate ice cream and a pack of Reese Cups at a cheaper price and would have been perfectly happy. My husband got a different kind of ice cream and they put plenty of toppings in there and they were mixed in well, but the guy that made mine did not even stick to the menu. Needless to say, about five hours after I ate the ice cream (1:00 in the morning), I was violently ill (no explanation needed) meaning I was suffering from food poisoning.
