She did apologize for the long wait. It wasn't very busy. Then the food. I had the fish and chips. That used to be so good! Last night the fish was dry and tasted like they hadn't changed the fryer oil for a while. So not very tasty or flakey fish like you expect. I changed the chips to onion rings. I couldn't even taste the onion only the batter. I hate to give a bad review but when the service was slow and the food was not good. It is what it is. I've always had great food and service before. They seem to be more focused on the regulars at the bar, which I understand but you will eliminate more regulars by not being good to new customers. On the positive side. The beer(Stella bottles) was good and cold! The sports on with all the viewing options is great! I will probably go back and try again since I've gone there since 2006. Crossing my fingers hopefully it will be better. I've always like their Nachos and French dip sandwiches. It is a nice sports bar with a good variety of sports on.

For all you know, it's the same regulars that have filled the whole list but the DJ would love to get a fresh face on the stage and you will most surely get bumped up the list. One of the benefits of having a real karaoke DJ and not using one of the online services. They're doing more and more poker tournaments. I want to say that it's Sunday but honestly, I would call and ask about it if you're interested because it seems like they add a new poker tournament every week. Wednesday night, they do $1 wings. They have a school pretty close by so the bouncers are pretty discerning. An automatic 22% was applied to our bill. Not 18, not 20, but 22%. And on top of that, 3% for a credit card charge. There was a warning about the 3%, but no where did they mention 22% automatic charge, anywhere that was visible. I was part of a party of 6 and understand some places charge gratuity automatically, but it's always listed somewhere so that there is no surprise. Not planning on going back anytime soon. Neat concept and cool space, but fell pretty short overall.

My wagyu steak came out and I was irritated that the salad hadn't come first. But then the salad didn't come at all. Bummer. And the steak was questions all around. First they didn't know what cut of steak it was. "It's Wagyu" they said, as if all that mattered was where it came from. And just to make sure I wasn't an idiot, I looked up to make sure that Wagyu, like other beef, had various cuts. And the meal was rather salty. And the steak was far closer to rare than medium. And it was served au poivre style, which I would have like to have known. Service was excellent. The Scottish Old-Fashioned excellent. The libation selection is unparalleled. The bar seats have a weird spring to backing so it's more like sitting on a stool with a slight back brace.
