Had family in from out of town. Raved about this place because I loved it. Then when we get there it ends up being horrible. Portion size was way too small The waitress even admitted that the fish was half the size of the normal size but nothing was done about it even after asking. The Crawfish Monica was horrible it came cold and it tasted like Kraft macaroni and cheese one of our party ordered a side of crawfish Monica sauce and we counted three crawfish tails in the whole portion. This was very disappointing being that I was trying to make a good impression on family that had never been to South Louisiana before. The only good thing I can say about the evening was that the appetizers were okay. Grady V used to be a class place after this evening not so sure. We loved Grady V's when we first discovered it and had nothing but great experiences including great food and service. Anyone someone talked about going eat out we'd recommend Grady V's. Then we had four very bad experiences back to back (burnt food, dirty plates, dirty utensils etc), including twice that we brought family/friends there because we bragged on how good the place was. After these bad experiences, we stopped going for a while. Fast forward about a year and a half later and we decided to try them out again and since we started going back, it seems like everything is back to normal. Started off with some brisket nachos..the brisket was good, the chips were soggy and overall wasn't very warm but still tasty. The cheese on them were good also, then for my drive in burger it was cooked great. They were a little cheap on the lettuce and sauce but the burger was excellent! Had some company that tried the legen-dairy burger which is a cheeseburger with 2 grilled cheese's as the buns, and they said it was great as well. Brownie dessert looked fantastic and was said to be, while the bread pudding had burnt corners but was also said to be good. I paid $35 for an appetizer, 1 beer and 1 entree. From the moment I walked in until I left, I enjoyed my experience at Grady V's. The Crab Beignets are delicious! The dough is fried perfectly and it's filled with flavorful crabmeat. I also enjoyed my Bloody Mary. I'm kinda a snob when it comes to Bloody Mary's because I make my own just the way I like it. I have to say the Cajun Bloody Mary will not disappoint you! It is perfection in a glass and the garish is on point! You can't go wrong with any of the burgers. The Sriracha Shrimp is very tasty. I had them on Taco Tuesday. If you go to the bar, ask for Hailey. She tended to us and made sure our glasses were never empty. As far as sides, my favorite is the Roasted Corn Grits! This place was great. Zoe was our server today. She waited on all 6 of us with ease and grace. She's a very nice and capable young lady. The food was excellent, as well. We ordered two appetizers: bang bang shrimp and spinach and artichoke dip with pita. For our meals we ordered a salad, two burgers, shrimp and grits, thin fried catfish, and the brownie a la mode (yes, it was ordered as the meal!). The sides were french fries, blackened okra, crawfish pudding, and risotto du jour. My only mild complaint is that my pudding and risotto should have been warmer. We ordered take-out and expected the best because they just reopened and have expanded their menu! I have three children including an infant and this is why we didn't go into the restaurant just yet. When we ordered we expected the most but got the least!!! The only reason they're getting 3 stars is because of the taste of the gumbo, the size of the shrimp my wife got, and the taste of the burger I got. I'm just highly disappointed in the portion size of the "bowl" portion and the amount of rice they gave us. The other sad part about all of this is that when we got home with the food there was no rice with the gumbo and the shrimp didn't have the tarter sauce my wife specifically requested. Not even cocktail sauce or ketchup was given to us. So, I had to go back up to the restaurant and get these things and show the portion size they called a bowl with an actual picture of the gumbo in a normal size bowl. It filled about 1/4 of the normal size bowl!!! Really!?!?! After getting back to the restaurant and requesting the rice and more gumbo the host returned with barely a tablespoon amount of rice!!!!!!!!!! I was blown away! The host and manager tried to tell me that this is what the "Chef" gave them and said he would only allow that much to be given!!!! I'm really not trying to be petty, but what restaurant in Louisiana serves a tablespoon of rice with their gumbo! The chef is clearly not from Louisiana or knows how much rice should be paired with a gumbo. I would've been fine with half a cup of rice, but when they said that's all I get and the chef won't allow it I was pretty annoyed. Not sure if we're going back but I want to think that the chef is new and people are helping him out on how things should be made in Louisiana. I'm hoping to go back to the actual restaurant and that we have a better experience there. So far I'm not digging the new Grady V's and it's take-out. The service overall needs to step up for take-out all together. I hope the experience at the restaurant changes my mind with how the manager and chef treat their customers too! read more

I wish I could give 6 stars. First of all, thanks for keeping the delicious food going during COVID. Secondly, I appreciate the logistics of how you run things. But most importantly, your food is BOMB. I typically get the beef tips or the prime rib and it's delicious. My side preferences are the cheese grits and the red potato mashed situation. I've also had the spin dip. Always warm and fresh. While I may not be able to enjoy your dining room and country club, I sure will be there all the time post quarantine. In the meaning, I'll keep on ordering for curbside pickup at least 2x a week. read more

Have had this location bookmarked for quite awhile and was pleased to try it out on May 6, 2015, when I had lunch with fellow Yelper, Angelique R. This lovely gem is located inside the Bayou Country Club and believe me it's not the typical run of the mill grill you find at most golf courses... excellent set up, nice muted lighting... just gives off a classy vibe... The lunch menu is extensive and took me by surprise... I've eaten in more than my share of golf club restaurants and this is by and far head and shoulders above any other club I've dined at and holds its own with stand alone restaurants... The prices they were running on raw oysters were some of the best I've seen ($10.99 for a dozen) anywhere this year.... for the meal I went with a burger and it was outstanding, Angelique R went with the Chicken Ranch wrap and noted it was delicious with her only critique being minor (it could have been wrapped tighter so spillage wouldn't be an issue)... The next time I'm in Thibodaux and stop in I'm going for the brisket nachos cause word is they are quite tasty... If you're in Thibodaux and looking for a meal take the time to run out about 1 mile past Nicholls State University, hang a right on Country Club Boulevard and follow it on down to Bayou Country Club... get a table and enjoy... don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Thibodaux. Well hidden due to it's location, it's housed in the old restaurant at the Bayou Country Club. I often forget about it since it isn't located near the other restaurants in town. Though operated by the same owner as Pepper's Pizzeria, it's menu is totally different. Their specialty is smoked meats and burgers, though they have other noteworthy dishes. My favorites are pulled pork, smokehouse burger, and herb crusted chicken. The brisket nachos are a great appetizer that I sometimes order as a meal. Their famous side is the crawfish pudding, though it has become much too dry as compared to the first years the place was opened. If you ask, they can bring you a trio of BBQ sauces, those being a normal house sauce, a vinegar sauce, and a white Alabama sauce (my top choice). read more

First off, the wait staff is always great. Grady Vs always has a nice special and the burger of the month is a must to try. Grady Vs is a go to for a group because there's something for everyone. The Back 9 and Mediterranean salads are great- get grilled shrimp to top if for a meal. Sides: always pick mac and cheese or the cheesy corn grits. They're killer. Burgers are always well executed and seafood is good too. Grady V's is a restaurant that is truly a hidden gem. Anything I've ever ordered has been wonderful. They have really great salads. I love their Caesar, and my mom loves the Back Nine salad. Two of my favorite dishes there are the grilled Louisiana redfish and the crab cakes appetizer. The crab cakes are to die for! All the sides at Grady V's are awesome too. I recommend the sweet potato fries and the Par 4 mac and cheese. Their spinach and artichoke dip is my favorite as well. One of my favorite places to eat! read more
