Attractive appearance, excellent service, tasty food. Served reasonably quickly, given that it seemed fairly busy.

I am amazed at the great reviews. I thought I would treat myself to a good meal tonight. I can ignore the hostess with the attitude, I just wanna good dinner. So being one of the only customers in the room, I waited and waited for a server. She asked for my dinner request never asking what I would like to drink. Ordered an Old Fashion... it came , tasted like pure fruit juice! For my meal I ordered the scallops and an order of sautéed mushrooms.. The mushrooms tasted as though they were drenched in salt. Found the whole experience to be non personable, not professional and above all a waste of my time and money. read more

WOW. We found this restaurant while driving through Franklin, NC. What a wonderful surprise. The small plates were fantastic, the interior was spacious and bright. Amanda was a charming server. Lamb meatballs were delicious as was the tuna. We would definitely return. read more

Prices aren't bad but on the high side. The food is delicious. And almost gourmet. Mostly organic. A lot is locally grown. Service was great. I go as often as I can. read more

Stumbled in on a whim to have one of the best meals in a while. Small plates seasonal mushrooms, scallops and a garden salad were wonderful! I highly recommend this place. Food was clean and delicious. Will return. read more

Loved this place...food delish and the setting was very comfortable. We can't wait to go back.

Good food great atmosphere always great service . If you want something special this is the place to go

Called about 30 minutes before closing after being turned away at two other places because they decided to close early and didn't want our money. Very glad they took our order and the food was great. Got the steak and fries, shrimp appetizer and Gouda grit cake. Would go again and sit down for the full experience. read more

Paid 40$ for a stake with no flavor Asked for my stake rare it came back cooked all the way through so 40$ you don't get it cooked the way you want it and anyone at home could add more flavor than that to a 10$ steak extremely disappointed with the food the service is fine but the price for quality is not there even the sandwiches come out soggy. read more

This is a marvelous place to eat. The flavor distinctions are top notch and everything we had was perfect. Plus our server, Victoria, went above and beyond; very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. We couldn't ask for a nicer meal. read more

This place has the most delicious steaks!! Great atmosphere and service too. Excellent experience:)

The filet was probably the most tender I've ever had. The autumn mojito is second to none. You can park at the church and walk through/between the buildings. We will definitely be back. read more

So disappointed. We had brunch here that was very good. Dinner was not. Pork loin had no taste. It was like it was reheated in the microwave. The Brussel sprouts were terrible. The only choice for mashed potatoes had blue cheese, goat cheese or Parmesan mixed in with other stuff. The chicken was okay but highly seasoned with something unidentifiable. Service was very good. The ambiance is good with tasteful decor. read more

The brisket and ribs were very good. The baked beans and collards were excellent. Dry rubbed ribs were moist and were seasoned well!

Went there for our anniversary lunch & were promptly seated with our server Shelby quickly appearing. She was spot on with the service, with good suggestions, easily answered our questions, and able to accommodate a substitution for the French fries that normally came with the sandwiches. The food was delicious, especially the portobello mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. A bit noisy but not exceptionally loud. We were impressed with the quality of the food and the preparation of it. Much prefer a modest serving of premium whole food ingredients served here than a large amount of "something" elsewhere that I know is not good for me. So glad to have a restaurant like this establishment. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Delicious food, great service. We waited a bit long for our meals but it was worth it! The Filet and the Banana Fosters dessert was amazing!! A lovely dining experience for a small restaurant. read more

We had a delicious dinner at Gracious Plates on Main Street in Franklin, North Carolina. We highly recommend it! The salmon dinner was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! read more

Wonderful service! when we were there a lady not too far from us was having issues with her waitress but the waitress did nothing wrong, when the server took care of us she was kind and very helpful and professional. The rude customer was very demanding, pointed in the servers face and really gave her a hard time. But the waitress stayed very professional through it all! Good job on her part! we enjoyed the food but we will certainly be back for the wonderful service we had! she was a 10/10 and handled the horrible horrible customer near us with kindness and professionalism! I will absolutely be back! our waitress worked hard and brought a smile to our faces along with our wonderful food! Kindness is easy to spread, its never the right time to be rude to a waitress or waiter, they work hard and provide us with good meals! Thank you Gracious Plates! and thank you to our great waitress! read more

food quality was not very great :( tough steak, the chicken looked great on the outside but not great on the inside. our server was sweet but disappeared for extended periods of time toward the end of our meal. it was nice and comfortable where we were seated. our torte was more like a piece of bad fudge, instead of what torte cake should be. mashed potatoes were amazing!! read more

Thank you Victoria for taking such good care of tired travelers with friendly suggestions when asked and yummy food and drinks when ordered! We enjoyed the sampler and the scallops x2 + good cocktails and good service. Thank you Victoria we enjoyed you! read more

Excellent food and top notch service. Don't miss this place when in town. We sat outside and enjoyed the day along with the cuisine.

Went for lunch today after hunting for waterfalls. Super clean place with clean restrooms. The menu is supportive of local produce and food sources. We started with the crab fritters (6 pieces) and they were scrumptious. We also had edamame and they were fresh with the perfect amount of course salt. Local tap water was tasty and we went through 2 bottles. Hubs had a burger that he ordered Well done and it came out med rare. Steve our waiter was quick to take it back and get a replacement. I honestly think our table neighbors and our order were mixed up bc I heard him mention his was supposed to be med rare and it was over cooked. My daughter got the stuffed portabella and it was delicious. I got the shrimp poyboy. It was good - shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was a little dry but I am spoiled to good New Orleans crusty French rolls and these were just ok. I am disappointed bc they had butternut squash soup and I forgot to order that. I definitely recommend and enjoyed our visit. I would definitely return. read more

I ate there with a group of friends. I ordered a burger, and was disappointed. It was dry and tasteless, and I could tell it was a pre-made patty. I had the maple chips, which were good, but too browned. I ordered the lobster bisque soup, which was delicious! Wished I had just ordered the soup and side salad. I probably won't go back, as it was pricey, too. read more

Delicious food. Visit all the time. The friendly staff is awesome too. This restaurant is open most days which keeps from getting confused.

We ate here today with Mama Deb as our server. Everything was delicious-food and drinks! We had salads with salmon and the ribeye sandwich special. The salmon was our favorite! Thank you, Mama Deb, for the recommendation and the kind service. We will be back! read more

The food was terrific. Wonderful wine list - great wine options The smoked gouda and tempura shrimp were outstanding. Our server, Victoria, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Would highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Great food, great service, overall a great atmosphere. Highly recommend you and your folks try it out

Wonderful lobster ravioli special. Sienna is a gracious host. Wine selection is superb. Highly recommend!

Kind of average, funky spot. Gracious staff, a bit distracted. Nice burger. I'm over kale. It's ok if you're there. Wouldn't go out of the way. read more

This place is totally overrated. Four of us went for lunch and none of us were impressed at all. The salad I had came with smoked Gouda (guess I should have known better) but the Gouda was so strong that it totally overpowered the rest of the salad. Goat cheese would have been much better. It also had almost no dressing so nothing to pull it all together. Don't remember too much about what everyone else had but we all agreed we would not be going back. read more

Such a lovely place. My husband and I were walking around in Franklin and saw this place and decided to try it out. Man, what a great move! The food was absolutely delectable. My husband had a chicken plate with truffle mashed potatoes and I had salmon with a lemon drizzle and seared brussel sprouts. I cannot wait to go back and try other things on the menu. It was hard to make a decision on what to order because everything sounded so delicious. read more

First night in Franklin and this was a great find. Excellent food like you would find in a major city but at small town prices.

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience we ever had at a restaurant. Our server, Emily, was awesome. She had us laughing and just enjoying our time. We arrived about an hour before dinner service but instead of being turned away we were invited to sit and enjoy a appetizer and a couple of cocktails while the switched to dinner service. e had great conversation and everyone was so inviting. We felt immediately at ease. When it was time we both ordered the Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. After we enjoyed a delicious ice-cream and a final cocktail. This was the BEST dining experience we had in a long time. read more

Great restaurant! Came with family and we all loved it. The hostess and our waiter, Steve, were awesome !!! Steaks and salmon were cooked to perfection. Try them out, it's one of the best restaurants in Franklin. Oh and try the fondue appetizer, yum yum. read more

A wonderful new asset for Franklin and the Smokies! Definitely a great place for those who love uniquely prepared and presented healthy food. Looking forward to making this place a regular stop. Staff was gracious as well as the food! read more

Well, Franklin has a great restaurant. Fantastic tasting food. The name Gracious Plates means large portions. The food was fantastic. I had pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Wife had a great salad with chicken. For starters we had olive tapenade and the other one was Portobello mushrooms. Both were fantastic. Our server, Esteban (Steve) was our waiter. He nailed it. Coffee came with real cream. My only hope, as we intend to be frequent patrons, is they offer different options as time goes by. Bill was $76. Can NOT beat that for a wonderful meal. read more

Absolutely wonderful restaurant with quality servers not to mention the menu. The restaurant is upscale but affordable. The wait staff is terrific. What a nice addition to Franklin. read more
