I usually have no problems with this place but today when I called to place an order..I asked the attendant to repeat herself because I lost connection for a second and she gave me attitude. I continued to explain that the phone cut off and she still was giving me attitude ..still not answering the simple question "how many quesadillas come in a dinner?"...all she had to do was say a number. Not bad... The Carne Asada was good. Rice was good. The beans were too thick like from a can. I think think the oil used to warm the tortillas was rancid. Really good food, and the prices are cheap. I had the steak burrito, it was huge! The steak was very tender and had good flavor. It was a lot better before the remodel, I used to work at the Clorox plant down the road and ate there almost everyday it was fire. I've eaten there several times since an it hasn't been the same. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Today, I ordered chicken quesadillas with no onions amongst other items to go. Once I got home, I discovered my order was wrong. They gave me steak quesadillas instead of chicken. I phone them to explain the situation. The lady who answered the phone read to me the order I placed over the phone. At that time we discovered she wrote the wrong order down. She wrote cheese quesadilla's instead of chicken. She then goes on to say that their chicken is made with onions. So, instead of her explaining to me during my order that the chicken can't be separated from the onions because it's cooked together; she took it upon herself to give me cheese quesadillas. Mind you the order was still wrong because the cooks made steak instead cheese. Once I arrived back at the store, I asked if I could keep the steak (SN: I eat steak but my husband doesn't and this order was for him) as a good gesture for having to drive all the way back to the restaurant. The lady was indignant and said "We make our chicken with onions and it's one or the other. Which one do you want". I then requested a refund!!!. I think that was a horrible business decision. I'm inconvenienced because they took my order down wrong. There was no apology no offer to right their wrong. I'm sure she's not the owner, but some person who does not know how to run a business and definitely shouldn't be representing any restaurant. I was really disappointed tonight. I have been calling ahead and placing my order and have had ok service. Tonight I went in and I had been told 10 to 15 min and I arrived within 15 min. Another lady was getting her take out as I was walking in and then instead of giving me my order which I saw sitting ready the waitress walked away and started to pass out chips and salsa then came back said she would be right with me and walked away again. After waiting for what seemed like forever I told the waitress that she could keep the order and walked out. What is up with this???? Terrible service. Went there for breakfast and ordered steak and eggs breakfast .I told the waitress what I wanted in English and Spanish . They gave me the steak dinner instead. The waitress gave me an attitude like it was my fault. I told her I had ordered the steak and egg breakfast . She took the dinner back and I thought she placed my corrected order . 10 minutes later a second waItress took my order and could not comprehend that I wanted the steak and egg breakfast. I asked her to bring me back the menu so I could point it out to her. I pointed out the breakfast in the menu and told the second waitress what I wanted in English and Spanish . She asked me how I wanted the eggs and I told her I wanted them scrambled. Even with me telling the second waitress what I wanted and pointing out the breakfast in the menu they still gave me the incorrect meal for a second time. Later that day I paid for going to Gracies . What a dirty horrible place. We were returning from University of IL and stopped off in Monee to get dinner as the family was hungry. When no one wanted fast food, we decided to visit Gracie's Lucky Burrito thinking we couldn't go wrong with Mexican. Wow were we wrong. First, let's start off with the absolutely rude and horrible service. This place looks family run, which I typically love because most places treat you like family. This place treated our family like complete garbage. It took 15 minutes for a server to finally come to our table and this place was not even busy. She was in a rush to take our order and made us feel like we had to place it in right away. She just stood there and made our family uncomfortable. They brought us chips and salsa (typical), but our basket of chips looked like it was half empty, when we looked at it more carefully we saw salsa on some chips, it was obvious that this came from a table that had recently left. When we called the waitress over and showed her the evidence, she denied it and shrugged her shoulders. I was in absolute shock. She then brought over a new basket of chips and these were clearly fresh, so for sure the first basket was used. When we finally got our order (Taco steak dinner, steak burrito, chicken taco dinner) we received another dose of the waitress from hell. She refused to even acknowledge us, by this point our drinks were done and she clearly could see we needed more. She dropped off the food and walked away. The food initially looked OK, but as we started eating it turned out to be absolutely disgusting. The steak in the tacos and burrito would be more fitting to call burnt jerky. The chicken tacos were OK but it was really soupy and the corn tortia was completely mush. When we asked to speak to the manager, our waitress said this was her place. At that point we realized there was no point to complain to her. The best we could do was leave and never come back. I see a lot of mixed reviews on this place, I am guessing this is a hit or miss place with poor management for me it was a complete miss. I will never give them my business again. read more

Gracie's isn't just good, it's the best! The food is always consistently delicious and we eat here often. I've been to places all around the city and it's funny that the best Mexican food comes from a place tucked inside a strip mall in Monee. The dinner plates are good, but you can't lose when you order the tacos. We typically get food to go but eating there is a treat as well, with the delicious chips and salsa.
