My last stop on the Mexican food tour since moving down to the area was Gracie's. I've heard nothing but good things, but haven't tried it yet since it's a bit of a drive! I ordered from Uber and holy cow it did not disappoint. I can easily say this is the best Mexican food I've had since coming from closer to the city. I had a combination burrito with steak and pork. Cooked perfectly, delicious and the portion was HUGE. The sauces were good too and very unique. I like how when they say it's spicy. It's SPICY. Worth the wait!!! An absolute classic for me. Every time I'm in the area I'm stopping for Gracie's. With Gracie's you're getting that family-style Carne Asada vibe off bat. From the food to the way they operate their kitchen, it's all family oriented and good energy fills the space. The food is quality and so is the service. Decent food, it won't blow your socks off. I was hungry for Mexican food and decided to try this place based on the reviews. It is easy to get to right off the main road. It's a smaller place with about 10 tables and a couple you can push together for larger groups. I seated myself and received chips and three kinds of salsa while I waited for my order. we driving down to Peotone and got hungry along the way and decided to stop by this place. BEST DECISION EVER. The food was sooooooo good, we all got different things and not one dish disappointed. My boyfriend got a michelada with Pacifico and it was really good as well. The food came out fairly quickly & our server was very attentive and helpful. Hmmm I'll start with the positives: this was a delivery order and everything was in the bag and packed well. The order also arrived pretty quickly and the prices are very affordable. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I got a 3 taco dinner and it tasted like 2 day old left overs with not much flavor. The chips were stale and the salsas not so good, the pico was like a soup that just tasted like vinegar. I liked to the flavor of the beans but the rice just seemed old and some pieces were crunchy. This was not a good meal and I threw most of it away and just accepted the fact that I wasted my money. I don't live in the area, but I work in the area I live in the city Yelp help me out a lot place my order pick up my food and then time to go for that 90 minute drive back home. I ordered the ground beef burrito, dinner rice, and beans. I couldn't finish it all great flavor. If I'm in the area again I definitely will go there. I'm thinking of taking a trip up that way with my family a little road trip. There's a lot of great stores around here to the shop. My ex-wife would love that and my daughter too. read more

we've given gracie's burritos in monee several tries during various days and times and we've come to the conclusion that their menus must not be updated due to the fact that each time my husband has asked for Tripa or Gorditas they seem to never have any available since our first visit. Excellent food and excellent service. They also have good value. When you're in Monee, it's is a good place to stop to get a nice meal.

I used to work in Monee and had the privilege of eating at this place 2-3x a week. Now I work almost 90 minutes away but was in the area today and couldn't pass up the opportunity to have an authentic meal. The staff, as always, was so hospitable. Even when they find out you're not dining in, they go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal wherever you eat it. The restaurant itself is very clean and smells amazing. I absolutely love this place. It's maybe half a mile off of I-57, directly across the street from Burger King. And I've had almost everything on their menu but my favorite is the fire burrito meal. It's definitely not for the weak. So if you're sensitive to spicy food, order the regular steak burrito. I travel all over the united states as a truck driver and there's no other restaurant that can make a fire burrito like this place. At least from where I've been. I got introduced to Gracie's back in '19 and I still compare every Mexican restaurant I visit to this place and while many are amazing, Gracie's has no competition. read more

So had a disappointing experience here. Placed an order for a set time. Got there and it hadn't been started yet. Waited 15 min. The place was like 600 degrees in there - unbearable. This used to be my favorite mexican restaurant until they messed up my order and wanted me to come out in the rain...... late at night to bring the food back that THEY messed up in order to get a credit. Was good until lately. Last 3 visits the food was pure grease. It was dripping of the burrito and tacos. Could not eat the tortilla. The last time just threw it out. A waste of over $40. Great place to pick up a lunch to go order . Call 5 minutes ahead of pick up and it will be ready . Steak , beef or chicken tacos hit the spot . Hot sauce is so good . I bite the taco and sip the sauce right out of the container . Have dined in many times and everything is good . You can go ala carte on most items our make it a dinner . I found this spot a couple years ago, came here for lunch with my coworkers. Great tacos! The salsa that comes with the chips is fire (literally), but I cant stop eating it. I even put that ish on my tacos. I only eat tacos at Mexican places, so it's all I can comment on. read more
