Let me start off by saying I don't play when it comes to Mexican food. I am extra critical when it comes to my beloved tacos. I was very impressed with this place. I'll admit when I saw their standard taco components contained lettuce and tomatoes I said oh these tacos are about to be trash, but I removed for onions, cilantro and cheese, and the steak tacos were fire. The rice and beans were also very good. Tried the fish taco too, which I was not a fan of, but the steak was cooked to perfection. They also have banana pudding that I would make a trip just for. Absolutely delicious! Very comparable to Magnolias. My only negative comment would be the restaurant had a funny unidentifiable musty smell. Hoping that was just a one off and they maybe need to just change their mop water or bus boy table rag water. I still gave them five stars. I couldn't eat there with that smell, but I did order food to go. I would recommend and will be back again.

The chicken Tamales are a great Snack or Meal. The chips and Guac are the Lick!!!!! So if you're in the South Suburbs and having a Hankering for Mexican, stop by My Taco, you'll be glad you did. If you want cheap fast and large portions of Mexican food, then you should look no further than My Taco. They have several styles of tacos for $1.85 and they come with lettuce onions cheese and tomato on corn or flour tortillas . Your choice of red or green salsa guacamole is extra. Chips and salsa for free while dining in, they also have burritos and various dinner plates and Mexican coke and Jarritos. It was nice to find something that reminded me of Texas. The Nachos are good but don't come with beans and are covered in Nacho cheese which is a little weird but still tasty IMO.

I've been to My Taco a couple of times and it continues to be a good go-to in the Frankfort area. Located in a strip mall, the inside is simple with a couple of booths, ordering counter, and small kitchen. The prices are extremely reasonable and everything is made fresh to order. I ordered a couple of items to-go and my food travelled well. While the side sizes look small, the rice and fry sides impressed me as we ended up sharing both amongst ourselves. My Taco offers simple but good mexican fast food. We all enjoyed our food and keep coming back for more. read more

Best Mexican Food Around--My New Go-To! I can't say enough about this place! I ordered the veggie burrito, and it was so delicious that I went back two more times this week. The flavors are spot-on, with the perfect balance of seasoning and just the right amount of crunch. It's honestly the only Mexican place I'll be ordering from now. My Local, or I should say closer to home Taco spot is My Taco!! They are the "Burger King, Have it Your Way" of Taco's!!!!! Their Tacos are Tasty and they make them to your specifications. I love the food here. I normally get fish tacos and a nacho fry. The service is fairly slow but it's worth the wait. Always fresh and authentic. You can even get thick fresh baked chocolate chip cookie that sits up front. read more

Was craving authentic tacos but the person who made our food did not wear gloves and he literally grabbed our chips with his bare hands.... There must be at least 50 Mexican Restaurants in the New Lenox, Frankfort, Mokena area. I probably have tried them all. There is Nobody better than My Taco. Superior food, fast service, clean restaurant, friendly staff and great prices for the quality and quantity of food. My favorites are a genuine ground beef Torta and without a doubt homemade chicken Tamales. Every item on the menu is made upon request and damn delicious. It's worth the ride if you don't live close. Deserves a 6 Star rating! read more

I just had a torta from here and had to write a review. That was the most fire torta I had ever had. Everything was 5.35 including tax. I hope I don't get addicted. Lol I've also had other things here: tacos, burritos and nachos.For the nachos though, I would suggest no onions. It kind of left an interesting after taste in my mouth. The restaurant is a humble place in a strip mall. It does have a Mexican vibe with all of the decorations. They weren't very busy so having tables that weren't cleaned was not a good look. When we went to order, the waiter told us the only thing they were out of was the lobster rolls, but when we asked about the lobster gnocchi that my other son was about to order, they said they could do that, so I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that they only liked to use big whole pieces of lobster for the lobster rolls, and that is what they were out of, but had the smaller pieces they normally used in the gnocchi dish. I asked if she could do the lobster rolls with the smaller pieces, and she confirmed with the chef so we were back in business. The food was all excellent. I had the seared ahi and it was delicious, but was just a small portion for my liking. The scallops my wife had were delicious, but for $38 it was only 4 scallops. Maybe kids who live around here don't want fish when their parents do, but you should at least have a kids portion of fish and chips, or some fried shrimp on the menu for them. I'm not going to order a $27 fish and chips portion for a little kid, but he also didn't come to just eat chicken nuggets or buttered noodles.

I'm excited for the evolution of this place- the food is great, drinks are fantastic, and the service is awesome. I'm so glad for another excellent place in downtown Frankfort.

SOooo glad this place opened up near me! There are only a handful of Mexican places we go to that I would consider authentic (My mom is Mexican and is pretty picky). This is IT! The tacos are fabulous and the corn-in-the-cup is a must have. They even have a kids menu which offers some non-Mexican food for picky kids. You can order off the menu or get creative as the staff is very friendly and will offer recommendations as well. What a great treasure!! If you haven't been here yet, go! I recently visited My Taco in Frankfort and was absolutely blown away! The flavors were out of this world, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience delightful. My personal favorite was the carne asada taco - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. I can't recommend My Taco enough! Definitely a must-visit for all taco lovers in the area. read more

When I used to live in Mokena, my go to place was always always Beunos Nachos on Rt. 45. But thanks to Yelp, I found this place. Hands down, this place has one of the best football sized steak burritos you could ask for. The pricing is amazing, the flavors are great, and the hot sauces are on point. I will definitely be coming back to this location every time I am in town visiting. read more

My husband and I go at least once a week and never had a bad meal. Everything is made fresh even the tamales. The tamales come in once a week and when they are gone you have to wait until next week. They are awesome. read more
