This place is hit or miss, and heavy over priced. $26 for a gyro and a gyro plate. The fries were so soggy because they were crammed into the bottom of the Styrofoam container with everything placed on top of them. Didn't even touch them. And the amount of food that was on the gyro plate was barely any more than the sandwich. And the onions were cut so ridiculously big. read more

Answer the phone. We can never place phone orders! I understand some people are Spanish speaking mainly but please adhere to your buyers!! Answer the phone!!! Other than that the food is good. Gyros amazing read more

Horrible!! Grease & salt is what you get from gyro express. Express way to the hospital or worse. This restaurant does not care about the food they serve to this community. 0 is the actual rating and they should be shut down. read more

My husband came home with a menu so we decided to give this place a try and ordered Saturday dinner for the family... big mistake! Customer service was nonexistent and EVERYTHING we ordered was dry. The burger, burrito, chicken wings, tacos, gyro and fries were all horrible. We definitely won't be ordering from them again. read more

So, this place about 6 months ago would've received at least 4 stars, but under certain circumstances about 6 months ago my company ordered out for the employees, we suggested this place bc well we use to never be disappointed (it was a favorite). Until one day my co-worker unwrapped his steak super taco... and let's just say it was not no steak... yes my friends, it was cockroach! When we called the girl that usually takes the order didn't even know what to say. Very freaking disappointing. 1 star for what it use be! read more

My best friend recently moved to the area and this restaurant is around the corner from her home. Hadn't had breakfast or lunch and was hungry-hungry. I ordered the regular gyros meal. Consisted of the gyros, an order of fries, and a can of soda. The gyros was dry and consisted of small, little shreds and pieces of meat. This meat was not cut fresh from a Gyros Rotisserie. The sandwich had more onions than anything, and 1 piece of tomato. The fries were also cold and dry. I have this restaurant 1 star because I had no choice, and the lady at the counter was polite. read more

Gyros Express 2 - 5 hard shell Buy 5 Tacos Get 1 Free Special (But I ate most of them ) - Tacos Near Me - Steger, Illinois

Hey Tina Moore, Grubhub here. Your order from Gyros Express 2 was adjusted, an item was removed. Please check your email for more information. No it wasn't removed. I paid for it. The restaurant is lying. I just checked my email and there is nothing of the sort there--- I should've been notified of ANY adjustments as what I ordered is what I ordered. Don't worry about it-- I will post my review and never order again this route since people can't follow directions. I paid $4.86 as a tip and didn't receive what I ordered. Nor did the driver wait until I could check to be sure what I order was in the bag. read more

Yeah this was not great at all....i ordered a gyro with the sauce on the side, an order of fries, another order of fries with mild sauce, and a chicken quesadilla.... I received burnt fries Smh One with dried up mild sauce which was really confusing because it was not "saucy" at all. Kt was almost as if it was old sauce . My gyro had sauce on it and I didn't receive my quesadilla I got a chicken taco which was very salty. This ruined my night because I was hungry and really looking forward to something great to eat after working all day! read more

They use to be good lately they suck, always messing up on my order, and fries are always cold really who mess up on fries

I really cannot think of any restaurant around the area with food that is less expensive. The gyros here are of good quality. Living in the nearby apartment complex, I find it quite convenient that they are nearby and have a preference going to their place over the other that is within walking distance (the Hot and Spicy Grill). But the restaurant has two big problems: there is nowhere to sit (which may be a problem for others), and nothing on the menu is healthy! read more

I wanted to give this place a chance. Once, I ordered a gyro but the meat was kind of burnt and had an odd consistency. The gyro meat seemed shaved into thick round pieces of meat. I tried to talk to the young lady at the desk but her attitude instantly turned ugly. I requested a refund and just vowed not to be back. Roughly 6 months later, one cold night, desperation led me back to their small establishment. I was polite, kind and forgiving but Im pretty sure she spit in my tacos all the same. There was an orange-ish homogeneous type glob which was hard to identify on the tacos; forcing me to discard the food. Never will I return, not even if this place was the last place serving food in a post-apocalyptic existence. read more

THE BEST Steger restaurant EVERR they have the best tacos BEST fries BEST gyros !! I love this place but the people that put 1 star they hella tripping the food is the best good costumer service read more

I order food via Uber Eats it arrived with a very long hair within the packaging. It was packed in a brown bag, within a plastic bag, which the driver removed from a insulated bag. When I called to complain the "manager" blamed the driver saying "No one here has any hair!" When I went in person I was refused a replacement sandwich or a refund. Horrible customer service. read more

Disappointedly I have to report the worst tacos I ever had no flavor tortillas for awful like rubber the meat what's greasy and and no flavor. read more

Been here a few times and honestly it is hit or miss.. ordered just sandwiches and ended up being charged for fries and a drink. The tv is usually blaring so loud they can't hear your order and never seem happy to do their job or deal with anyone.. I would suggest going to the one in chicago heights if you don't mind the wait read more

Just went in there to grab a quick lunch. They weren't friendly at all. My fries were soggy and not fully cooked and they didn't give me any sauce. I've had better food from here before but they're never friendly. Just make sure you make sure they cooked your food and gave you everything, even if you're the only one there. read more

I always order something simple when ordering when trying a new place. And what could be easier than a hotdog so I thought. The hotdog seemed like it was deep fried but was cold. And the bun was a little stale. With this being so bad I gave away the Doritos nachos I ordered. Thinking I don't want to eat anything from this place again. read more

Terrible ordered the gyro plate the pitas were burnt and hard, gyro meat was over done and dry, my fries were soggy. Terrible

This gyro express is TRASH!!!! They're customer service is bogus as fuck! They're strangy on the meat and fries ! They charge your card twice ! Try to finesse . And on top of that their guacamole sauce is all oily and watered down like it's been sitting out . They bottled water isn't cold either . It's room temperature. Like eww I won't be going here no more . Food ain't even all that good either like it use to be ! read more
