I heard about Peebles Taco restaurant on social media, and I was excited to try it. I went to Peeple's Taco's during the weekday. It is in a storefront and it is a very tiny restaurant with no tables . Upon arrival the cashier was extremely friendly and she greeted me. The restaurant was clean and a positive environment. They were running a special for 6 taco's for 20 dollars. I ordered 3 chicken tacos and three beef tacos. I got everything on them, cheese, and mild sauce. The cheese was some type of liquidly melty cheese with no flavor. The shells were hard and terrible. Service was very slow and it took about 25 minutes to get my food even though the restaurant was not crowded. The positive point is that the food was cooked to order so it was fresh. The negative is that the food did not taste good. I was very disappointed to spend $20 on food that tastes like it was cooked in my kitchen and I don't cook well. So, if that's what you're expecting, along with arroz con frijoles, this is not it. But, for some good soul tacos, it's the spot. I ordered two jerk chicken tacos. They were full of flavor, served inside a crunchy tortilla. I asked for the hot level to be cranked, and they did not disappoint. Over time, I will get back to them to try a few of their other tacos. The jerk steak and jerk chicken tacos are really delicious. I highly recommend them. You might need to get a few of them, because they are smaller. The meat was seasoned well and had so much flavor. Hopefully at some point they come out with a loaded nacho dish. My only complaint was my order was done probably 20 minutes past the time for pick up. Also, I ordered a large fry and there was not many french fries at all. In fact, it almost looked like a small. I will definitely return. The workers were friendly and they do have a parking lot. The taste is generally the same but the Beef they used back then was definitely a better quality & they definitely gave u way more meat!! The tacos use to be exploding with it!! So I'm VERY happy that the best taco spot on the Westside has opened a 2nd location in the Southwest burbs! This is legit Peeples tacos! Just put down 7 mixed and I figure to be hitting this place 2x a week The food is outstanding! And they take credit cards unlike the Chicago Ave location!. The service is great and the staff is friendly. They even have specials for certain types of tacos! The ambiance is really chill, it's a nice neat storefront location with TVs to watch. When I learned that one of my favorite out west spots is here near me in Hazel Crest, I was happy for the convenience. Peeples Tacos is hands down one of the best food spots in the city. I've ordered the beef tacos. Still good as if I took a drive out west or when I used to work in that area. Of course, Peeples Tacos still has the reputation of a time wait. Still a long wait (about 15-20 minutes tops) lol. Hopefully for their locations they can try to hire more staff, but we are in a world where a lot of businesses are short staff. If you think you may forget something dont worry. They take their time and make sure all is well. I just don't know how to explain how delicious they were. My eyes rolled to back of my head while starting one of them in the parking lot. So I saw this restaurant on Instagram and wanted to try the Sourh Suburbs location. It's lunchtime and I decided to give them a try. Its a small quaint take out only place. I ordered one steak taco with everything which is cheese, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes and mild sauce they told me the Mild sauce is not like the mild sauce we put on our chicken, but it's like a seasoning that makes the taco juicy and it was really good!! Next time. I'll try the hot sauce. The sour cream is a pack on the side. I also ordered a jerk chicken taco with everything, in my opinion, the jerk chicken taco was better than the regular steak taco. BUT they were both really good. They cook everything fresh to order. The only thing I didn't like is the fries are frozen fries out of the bag. They're not fresh cut there not crinkle fries just frozen fries out of the bag so I wasn't a big fan of those. Now don't get me wrong they were not bad just regular. Other than that the tacos were both very good juicy and flavorful they use corn shells instead of flour which I prefer and they make them the perfect crisp but not hard and crunchy. I was very excited to hear they are now in the south suburbs because Peeples tacos are good. I had the burger with fries. Beef tacos, and jerk chicken tacos. The burger is REALLY good along with the beef tacos. The jerk chicken tacos were just ok. The cashier and cook was nice but it took FOREVER for the food to come out. What should have taken 15-29 mins took an hr. They only have one cook and he cooks each order one at a time which took a long time. I would say call your order in and then wait about 30-45 mins but if you place an order towards the end of the day it will be much faster ( at least from my experience). I'm hoping they will get more cooks to make the process faster. I will go back further down the line , hopefully it will get better. read more

My husband and I literally stood there waiting for our six taco order for 45 minutes. It was ridiculous.
