It must be good if a dry cleaner inspires a review on Yelp. After being to many cleaners where they do a fine job on the clothes, but little or no personality, Grace is a breath of fresh air. We have been going to Grace cleaners for years and never thought once about straying. Sunny is amazing. I always feel like Norm walking into the bar at Cheers. She always remembers my name and it's amazing to me she knows my phone number too. I can barely remember that myself. She personifies service with a smile. That would be enough, but Grace cleaners doesn't stop there. Every time I have been in to pick up my clothes with out exception, she insists on helping me out to my car. Amazing service! I really hate to write this review, because the owner has always been very friendly and everything I had taken there up until this point had been well cleaned, however what just happened was completely unacceptable and I will never go back. I brought a basically brand new, organic cotton pillow in to be cleaned on the 31st of December. We went out of town for the holidays and my dog decided to let me know his displeasure by marking my brand new pillow while we were away. You couldn't even see it on the pillow, and only slightly smell it, so I figured it should be no problem for her to clean. She gave me the ticket with a pickup date of Monday, January 25th, which I thought was odd..... Just one pillow and it's going to take over three weeks? In any event, I was out of town at the end of January and was finally able to make it in today, the 4th of February..... Literally a week and a half past the pickup date on my ticket. She brought my pillow out, and told me that she was going to have to clean it again. I'm kicking myself for not getting a picture at this point, because she had put my pillow which was obviously not dry into a plastic bag for god knows how long. Literally 2/3 of the surface of the pillow was covered in mold that was all sorts of colors including pink, white and even Black!!! I was shocked and asked her if she could even get that out, and she said it would be no problem come back Saturday. I left, called my partner to discuss what had happened, and decided to turn right around and go back to talk to her again. When I walked back in I told her that I was not happy with her just cleaning the pillow again because of the amount of mold on it. She wouldn't even bring it back out to me because she said she was already cleaning it again, so once again I wasn't able to get a picture or examine it further. She said that she would just put a bunch of bleach and other chemicals on it and that would kill it all......... Seriously?! I bought an organic cotton pillow that was well over $100, that when brought to her was lightly soiled, and when I saw it today was so covered in mold that I wouldn't even let my animals use it.....even after she "cleans" it again!!! Steer clear of this place, I learned a very expensive lesson about going to cheap cleaners!!! read more

We brought my daughter's prom dress in to have it altered which was a mistake. They hemmed the dress on the bottom and did not fold under the material it looked like a jagged edge. On top of that there were now grease stains all over the dress and they hung the satin dress with safety pins which left holes. After much arguing and no customer service she blamed me for the stains and offered to fix the hem. I went back in and the hem was ok but stains remain on the dress and she put me at fault. We will never be taking any of our dry cleaning back here. Do not recommend any alterations or care on any expensive dress trust me you will be sorry. read more

This is my second time at this business in a couple of years. The first time the lady was rude and charged me 27.00 to fix a tear in my wasteband. Way over priced. The second time was a month ago to dry clean a down winter coat. The coat had stain lines all over both sleeves and is ruined. She said too dirty! We tried! $40.00!!! Surprises me to see lower marks on some reviews. I've gone a few miles out of my way since moving away to keep using this business. I probably pass a few competitors en route. It appears that it is family owned and they work six days a week from what I can see -- always greeted by the same folks, who always smile and have been very nice to me. The clothes are done as well as anywhere I've ever used in the last 30 years. Yes I think they are slightly more expensive than some, but the consistency is worth it. read more

1 star for the cute Korean lady & her dog. She told me that she could do my laundry cheaper than what I was putting into the machines in the laundromat next door. I took in a small load, one duvet cover, and one full sized blanket. I had my wool items separated and told her they were wool (and they were obviously wool). It took 4 days. She put my wool stuff into the dryer. Charged me for the duvet as a blanket when the cover was thin ikea crap that she could have charged as a sheet set. $68?! I was paying around $20 in the machines and I told her that. So just a warning. Another Yelp user paid a similar amount. I should have listened to him. read more

Never ever ever going back!!!!! This lady doesn't understand what customer service even means. Never greets me when i come in and actually acts as if it's a bother to her that i even walk in! Today however was the deal breaker for me when she told me that I was too loud when I greeted her. Seriously what??! You lady are supposed to greet customers like me when I walk in the door and actually appreciate the fact that I even show up to give you my business and instead I have to greet you first, then you don't even bother to respond, and then finally you say how loud I am? This is the best and most friendly dry cleaner in all of Maple Valley. Sunny is so nice and fixes little things like a lost button at no additional charge. They even help carry your clothes to your car when you pick them up! This is a top notch place that I highly recomend! read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I brought two of my husbands Police uniforms in to have new patches sewn on the sleeve. When I got them back one was sewn correctly but the other was crooked. I asked the owner to fix it but she got upset saying it was done right. (How can it be sewn differently on two uniforms and be correct?) I asked her to align the patch with the top seam, which she did correctly on the other uniform and she threw it on the side and told me to pick it up the next day. When I picked up the uniform (which was in a crumpled ball, not a bag) the sewing was done poorly and the edges of the patch was damaged in three areas. Now we need a replacement. She wasn't there when I picked it up but she was very rude and her employee was rude. If you don't do a job correctly be a professional and correct it, not make it worse. I was a regular customer but sadly I will not be using their services anymore. read more

I am so pissed off, I brought a $400 dress to be altered and they botched it so hard. The hem is uneven and unfinished, they put holes through the front and back of the top of the dress with safety pins just to put it on a hanger. But most of all, there are grease stains all over my dress. I could not be any more frustrated or angry as my event is coming up and they ruined my dress. Extremely rude!!!!! Have you ever been hung up on while talking on the phone? This lady who answered the phone just hung up on me while I was talking. Recently moved to the area and wanted some information and prices on womens dry cleaning, but this lady was not in the mood to talk on the phone at all. I even called back because she told me she had a customer, so I called back to ask about a price on Womens dress, but was rude and flat out a b*tch. These folks are amazing! Always have my clothes ready and remember my name every time I walk through the door. I spilled make up (foundation) all over a white blazer and they got every bit out. TERRIBLE service!!! I've gone to them for years to get my dresses altered and jeans patched. I went in today and talked to the owner woman about getting a $200 designer pair of jeans hemmed. She insisted on taking off two inches and making them too short. I said no I like them long and want them to grave the ground. I told her I apologize for being concerned but the one other time I had jeans hemmed at Nordstrom, they did them too short and I had to return them. She says to me well you are a very difficult customer. Then she measured a four year old pair of my jeans next to the new pair and realized that I only needed 1 3/4 inches cut. She was originally wanting to take off 2 1/2 inches and I said no! Then she tells me well I'm not going to hem these again for free when you realize they are too long. Treated me like I'm this ghetto customer that would do that. Then says well your old jeans are going to rip on the bottom because they are too long. I said well they are four years old and have yet to rip. Has this lady ever heard of "the customer is always right"? Why not just let me get my jeans hemmed to the length I want and stop fighting with me about it. Also told me that Nordstrom charges $24 and I said no I was just on their website and it's $14. Then she says well go there then! I said I didn't want to drive there because I have three kids and it's closer. I was irritated because she kept insisting how much it'd be if I went there when I didn't really care about the fact that it would cost $17 anyways. I've always refereed people to them and I will be sure to let people know how absolutely rude this woman is. I ended up going back in and saying actually I'm just too nervous could I get my jeans back. She throws them on the counter, grabs the pin out of them and literally throws them across the counter and stomps away. Oh and she was so rude when she looked my name up on the system and realized I hadn't been in there in a few years. Like I was cheating on her and going elsewhere. That's not how you get customers! Terrible customer service! Rude! We moved to Ravensdale and decided this place was closer than Bella cleaners (which we love) at Lake Wilderness shopping center. My husband has been taking in his uniforms and alterations. She double charged him once and he immediately called to tell her and she said had to wait a week until it could be credited. It showed up right away on our online account when he came home. So what's the deal?? It did eventually got credited but would of been easy to miss. Today I brought in a white Burberry jacket. (yea I know-white- but they are a dry cleaner) I had a make up line around the inside collar and the jacket needed to be spruced up. I have only worn this jacket 5 times and it really wasn't that bad. I take care of this jacket. She goes into this degrading and embarrassing lecture and tells me it's really dirty. Said this 4-5 times! I had to explain it was make-up on the inside collar and I'm not a dirty person, but she kept going on and on about. I told her that this is why I brought it in to be cleaned. This is a dry cleaner right? She then goes on about the jacket being very expensive and no she wouldn't do it. Went to BELLA cleaners at Lake Wilderness and he said, no problem. He said he spot cleans it with water and then dry cleans it. He didn't understand why that would be an issue. The little further drive to Bella is worth it and I'm into supporting a business that has high standards and quality, starting from being friendly the minute you walk in the door. read more

Horrible service, rude and very poor English. When I pointed out how they ruined my Nordstrom blouse's beading, they made no attempt to fix it. They said they "don't have needle small enough". Now my beading is upside down or loose on 1 of the 2 ends...lovely:). Thank goodness for good business like Nordstrom! Grace Cleaners are awful!! read more

Walked into Grace dry cleaners today because I was looking for some place that could do alterations on 3 pairs of my sons golf pants. When I walked in there was an attractive middle age Asian woman steaming a sweater. She did not look up so I asked if she did alterations of which she said yes, I then asked if she could tell me what the cost would be, she said that maybe around $15.00 to $20.00 still barely making eye contact with me as she continued to steam the sweater. I then made the mistake of asking her how long it would take to alter these pants, she then rolled her eyes" and gave me a very put out look on her face. I was stunned at her reaction and said oh maybe I should take my pants elsewhere" to which she replied "yes that is good." I turned around and walked out. Wow business must be soo good that it does not matter how you treat potential new customers at this store. Oh well there has to be another dry cleaners out there that wants my business and understands "good customer service". read more

I had used Grace Cleaners for over 8 years and had to stop taking my shirts there for a year whenI lost my job. I started taking my shirts back and she was less pleasant to me then before but I brushed it off. Then my husband let me know there was a bunch of brown spots on all 5 of the his shirts that I just picked up and the spots were on the same area on the same sleeve so there must have been something on their shirt press. I took the shirts in and she told me that it was my husbands fault and it was of no fault of the cleaner even though I expressed it was the same type of stain on the ame area of the shirt. I expressed that I would like the problem solved and to make sure none of the other customers had the same problem. She told me she would need me to pay again for all the shirts. I left them there and took my ticket, but it bugged me so I went back and let her know that I unfortuantly would be taking my business elsewhere. The entire problem could have been corrected by just cleaning the stains and correcting the problem. She then said to me, "Well were did you take your shirts for a year?" This agrivated me to no end, I mean what kind of customer service is that and how could you think that was appropriate and not rude? I didn't want to share my personal affairs with her so I told her I have only been loyal to your company but not any more and left. I am now going to 4 Corners Cleaners and told then the situation and they took are of me and have done a great job so far. 4 corners cleaners also has a drive through window which I love since I can have my kids in the car and run my errands. CONSUMER BEWARE, if anything goes wrong on their watch IT IS YOUR FAULT! Grace Cleaners has no grasp of accountability, customer satisfaction and tact. read more
