    The Sasquatch Sandwich

GQUe BBQ is insanely delicious. Went at lunch time in the middle of the week and there wasn't a wait at all. Ordered a small order of ribs, a sandwich , small order of chicken wings , fries and Mac & cheese . Ribs were fall off the bone yummers , wings were so delicious , Mac n cheese so dreamy and creamy. The Sasquatch sandwich was a bit messy but good. The "pitmaster" came out to make sure the food was good and we chatted and I very much appreciated that. So good if you're craving bbq. The food fed 2 and could possibly feed 3 . I'll be back here sure .

Solid bbq with good smoky flavor. My favorite meat is their pork ribs; well seasoned and fall off the bone although less fatty pieces can be a little dry. I've tried their brisket and pulled pork as well; both have good flavor but are a little dry for my liking. Their dry rub wings are juicy if you eat them fresh. Fries are good. Mac and cheese is the creamy cheese sauce type. Original bbq sauce is my favorite but they have all their sauces on the table for you to try out. Service is always friendly and pretty fast!

Way disappointed tonight. After a $70 meal for 2 and mediocre BBQ, I'm sad to report this restaurant was probably smart to set up shop at the mall where people have limited options. Sadly, we were the people who drove from Castle Rock to try this place with excellent reviews. Not sure if its a lack of options in Colorado or everyone's standards are just really low but the 4 stars they have is VERY misleading. Every single thing we ordered was served to us cold with the one exception of our wings. The tables were filthy, all of the available tables to sit at were extremely wobbly and that was obnoxious. The I didn't see anyone wiping down tables the entire time we were there. My husband who never adds salt or anything to his food was so disappointed in his garlic mashed potatoes. There was no salt or pepper anywhere to be found so he ended up adding BBQ sauce to his potatoes so they had some flavor. My mac & cheese I ordered based on the recommendation of the young man who took our order was nothing special at all. I got the double thinking it would be something we would share but he was so disappointed in his meal, he didn't even touch them. $6.49 for an 8oz container and it was mostly liquid. The meat was so fatty and since it wasnt hot, it was just coagulated fat and meat intertwined. My husband who literally never complains about anything said as soon as we left, well not going back there ever again and I agree. Super disappointed and definitely feeling icky after eating in a dirty restaurant. It's a shame we cant find good BBQ here in Colorado. We'll keep looking but I think it's time to fire up our smoker.

Excellent BBQ meat, the food is delicious with ample portions, Very nice location right next to Park Meadows Mall, so a very good option to walk around the mall and sit down for some delicious Smokin BBQ. They are very kind with Coupons, you can find some sweet deals, definitely join their rewards program. They have pretty good ambiance, just a little bit of "fast food vibe" is my only negative, but then their service is good, never a long wait

We wanted to use a gift card and decided to come on Tuesday afternoon. It was fairly busy! I must say that the people are very nice and helpful. Our food came out rather quickly and the pulled pork and pork ribs were fabulous. The brisket was tasty and tender. The smoked beans were disappointing. The French fries were good not great and onion rings were crispy but cold. The selection of sauces are always good but the AC was blasting out so much it was actually too frigid to be comfortable. I probably won't be back.

Good flavor, but portion is ridiculous. I paid $15 for like 15 bites of meat, so a buck per bite. Sauces were good; spicy one was just okay. And the term "baked mac and cheese" made me think the top would be browned or something like other bbq places, but that wasn't the case. It was just creamy, which I guess is fine, but I was expecting more to it. Food came out quickly and employees were very nice.

Their food is always good, service friendly and ice cream that can't be beat, so highly recommend. But these guys go above and beyond the norm with their community investment with local schools and the attention to detail they take to keep their place clean and healthy! And their rewards program is one of the best.

What a Birthday present 250 FREE sandwiches per store, Wow. Today we celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the GREATEST BBQ known to Mankind GQ BBQ. They gifted 1000 Pulled Pork sandwiches to their Loyal Customers. Jason Ganahl did this at all of his retail outlets at the tune of 250 sandwiches per location. GQ BBQ is Colorado's ONLY CHAMPIONSHIP BBQ. The different offerings are truly a taste sensation. Hand Crafted the tasting experience is something you need to try because once you do you will be hooked. Jason and his Team are amazing, personal and professional and when you go there they will ensure that you will totally enjoy you experience.

I went on Sunday when it was snowing since I was craving BBQ. That beef brisket was no joke!

For all you mall walkers and undecided people look no further! Check out GQue BBQ! I have been here on numerous occasions and it's constantly packed. The staff is super upbeat, welcoming and on point! Even their drink machine rivals that of a certain fast food place with golden arches. I ordered a brisket sandwich on a snowy Sunday. Remember to ask for your toast, onions and pickle if you so desire. Its a freebie and mighty delicious! No wonder they are also located at Mile High, Lakewood and Westminster. This place simply rocks. Been to the other locations and Lone Tree really holds it down. I enjoy the welcoming vibes, attentive of everyone and ice cream! Yes, you should check out that section before you leave. During the summer they will hand out samples. After you're done with your meal, if ice cream doesn't suit your fancy head next door to LaTea for boba! Back to GQue though, great experience all around!

    So good!

I think the GCue ribs are my favorite in the nation. I love the sweetness of the rub and the fall off the bone cook. If there's ever a rib size wise that is skimpy, let them.know and they make it right. The wings with the dry rub and cooked crispy are superb even though they are quite small. A fave spot for sure!

Pulled pork with cold slaw topping FABULOUS!!!! This is one of my fav BBQ restaurants in the state.

That's what you expect when you're paying barbecue prices. Sadly, none of that showed up here. The brisket and burnt ends were the biggest disappointment. Instead of having that dark bark and beautiful smoke ring you expect from meat that's been smoked low and slow, everything looked gray and lifeless. There was no smoke flavor, no seasoning, and worst of all, the meat was dry. Not slightly dry, but the kind where you need sauce just to get it down. Burnt ends are usually the highlight of a barbecue meal, crispy outside with juicy, tender meat inside. These were just dry chunks with no caramelization or flavor payoff. The sausage didn't help things either. Overall, nothing about the meal felt homemade or smoked. It felt mass produced and rushed, missing the flavor and texture that make barbecue special in the first place. What made the experience even worse is the price. Spending around $40 on a pound of meat, expecting quality barbecue, and getting dry, bland food instead. For that price, you expect memorable barbecue, not something you regret ordering halfway through the meal. The food was so disappointing that I ended up throwing most of it away and going somewhere else afterward just to get a decent meal. That's something I almost never do, especially after paying premium prices.

There is plenty of seating if you want to stay and dine or you can call ahead and do a to go order. This would be a good place for groups and watching sporting events or enjoying the music. I went with the smoked sausage, ribs, green chili mac and cheese with baked beans. The sides were all good, the smoked sausage was the stand out and the ribs could be better. I do understand the difference between a little char and burnt pieces, however mine were more burnt and it was a detractor from the ribs. I ended up trying to pull that part off and eat the softer parts. In the game of bbq, you're gonna have a few pieces that are in direct heat and have more flame exposure, just don't give those pieces to me. Capable of cash, card and contactless payments with no hidden surcharges like many places seem to be doing. The portions were plenty and enough to share or to make two meals if you're watching your intake. Parking is along the street and pay attention to the signs. Some areas have time limits and there's a garage nearby if you choose. I drove by because on the main street, it seems unassuming until you're looking for their signage. Around the corner are other businesses and some residences so it threw me off a bit. If in the area, I would dine here again to explore more of the menu. Of course, if you go later in the day, the chance that they'll run out of an item is higher.

Granted there were a few people ahead of us but less than 5 total. The real McCoy sandwich was REAL dry. It comes with burnt ends and the bison green Chile and cheddar sausage (used to have pork as well) and their regular or buffalo sauce helped but not enough to overcome the dryness of the meats. The andouille & corn grits were fine as well. The sausage gives it a nice pop but the grits were more like potatoes in consistency. The best part was the Boylans ginger ale. I would have walked out and gone somewhere else except I had two disabled folks with me and one ornery sibling who would have balked. That being said, the place itself has been designed pretty great. Excellent tables and chairs and even some high top ones. Very, very clean. Area where there was BBQ sauce and some garnishes was alone by itself and coulda been dressed up a bit more to look more enticing. Now, the food. The burnt ends, unbelievably, were not true burnt ends, at least in my book. They were cubed meat with either side burnt but they were not ends. Burnt ends need to be almost all burnt around except one edge. There were only SOME of them like that. But, ok, fine, how's the meat, how's the cut? Most of my pieces were very tough. Cut wrong or with some gristle. Not a tender bite. But I also ordered brisket. Although not as good as I'm used to, at least it was tender and flavorful. But it was sliced thin and shoulda been thicker slices with more burnt edges. My sister liked.her chicken although it looked a bit dry, my uncle seemed to really enjoy his ribs. My brother didn't seem to be as picky as me about his burnt ends, he said it was good. So perhaps my standards are too high. Sides of Mac & Cheese, creamy Cole slaw, rustic fries, and loaded mashed potato were decent, but the charred corn wasn't at all as I was expecting, just corn in a lot of spicy sauce and I would skip it. The toasted bread on the side was altogether uninteresting. My uncle did like his Breckenridge Beer Amber Ale. And the fellow at the front was really nice, although interesting it was just him, and then two cooks in the back, not what I'm used to at most bbq places which usually have a bustle of people behind the counter. But then, again, the place was empty, although had a decent amount of "to go" business. This place feels like it may not last -- it's in a great location and should have had way more people dining in -- and I think the owner needs to invest in another bbq chef who can bring a bit more magic to the food, especially the burnt ends, the brisket and the sides. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars -- were it just me it would be 3, but with the rest of my party, a 4 -- plus the cleanliness and bright atmosphere and great service, a 4 is deserved.
