I moved in my new home 4 blocks from this garden center in 1992 and have bought my Spring annuals for Easter, May and Summer flowers for planting in ground and patio pots. The prices vary from the other local farmers nearby, but I can say that Ray Wiegand's nursery Guarantees their selection of flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and all items sold. Their plants are grown healthy and colorful as well as the hanging baskets and already grown in pots. The staff of family or friends who are working in many areas of the greenhouse or outside are always helpful and knowledgeable and ready to assist your questions about buying and planting plus offer guidance to problem plants that may be an issue with growing. The store also sells many statues, gardening supplies, outdoor furniture with monthly seasonal decorations for your home! I have been also very pleased with the quality and style made when purchasing in November a Memorial Christmas grave blanket for the cemetery. It was Friday at 1pm and all but one of the handicap parking spots was taken. I slowly went around a corner as a mother and child were walking near the rear of my vehicle, and made my way to the one handicap spot when someone literally flew into it! They quickly bounced out and went into the store. Um, OK. I did find a spot somewhat close to the handicap spots. I LOVE that they had multiple, fully-functioning scooters! What a relief not to have to hunt down a rickety, barely charged one of two scooters situation that I face EVERY...SINGLE...TIME I go to the Meijer's on Hall Road. I rode a scooter out to our car and mom got on. I also loved that there were plenty of small shopping carts. The isles are large and very clean. The produce is fresh and plentiful. There are a lot of extra food items to choose from that you won't see in other grocery stores. I did notice the absence of the toys, sports and garden areas. The lady ringing us up was so sweet and she told us she found a cool roll up mat for puzzles on amazon. She even showed us where to get it and the price. It was super helpful because we have cats and dogs and they love trying to get to the pieces. Now we dont have to worry about covering them up.
