First, you wait in line: they are limiting the number of people who can go in. This is 2:30 on a Saturday. The wait was about 15 minutes.

I honestly would never have thought that I would've wanted to go to a nursery. But, times have changed. This is something that is actually fun to do on a Saturday afternoon. One thing I didn't realize is that, in addition to an amazing variety of pretty, flowering plants, they also have a very impressive array of herbs and peppers that you can grow yourself. Knowing me, I will probably kill most of them, but I am looking forward to having some fun trying to grow them. One thing I have always appreciated about Wiegand's is how well-maintained everything is. Everything here looks alive and happy. Being here gives me a sense of inner peace. And, I get to make things look a little prettier at home, and maybe even start a new hobby: growing my own herbs and peppers.

Always a good selection. Can be a little pricey but the quality is worth it. Have had great luck with porch pots that usually last all summer with minimal care/maintenance. If you can try to go during the week when there are likely to be less crowds so you have a little more room to browse there vast selection.

I never thought about writing a review for Ray Wiegand's Nursery until today and it's a pleasure to do so. We've been long time customers for 25 years and we're fortunate that it's right down the road from us. We had some spare time and decided to check out the Christmas trees and decor since we have never been here at this time of year. The wow factor when we stepped inside was a full 5 stars. Your are greeted by beautifully decorated Christmas trees surrounded by displays of the items you need to make your tree look exactly like the ones on display. Each display is in it's own little area to differentiate each style of decorating. There are wall displays, table settings, floor and table decor and even ceiling decor. Venturing further, you come upon a multitude of Christmas trees, porch trees, porch pots, door wreaths, grave blankets.... So much to look at. There's a tree for every size home from tall stately trees to tiny little ones. Something to fit any size room or porch. The day we came, they had free cider and donuts at a table where we were able to help ourselves as we browsed and took in the beauty of Christmas. As we walked around, I couldn't help but stop and take in the wonderful life size nativity scene that greets you as you're walking into the area that holds all of the greenery and trees. I noticed there was plenty of help if we needed it but we were content with browsing. Besides everything was well labeled with prices and information. With all of the glitter that the holiday season brings, there was also plenty of help to keep the store looking well kept. I noticed the customer assistance associates walking around and talking to customers and keeping the floor free of the glitter and sparkly, shiny, fun adornments that accompany many colorful items at this time of year. The line of people seemed to be moving along nicely and it appeared they had a nice system of moving the customer line along. It was indeed a Christmas wonderland to partake in all they had to offer. The other seasons of the year offer just as much fun and variety as the Christmas season does. The spring and summer plants and flowers and arrangements and merchandise are aplenty. It's definitely worth visiting and it's awesome to see how they can change the look of the nursery with each turn of our wonderful seasons. Ray Wiegand's has knowledgeable staff that can answer any question or concern you may have and we've asked our share of questions in the spring and summer when it came time for planting ideas or problem solving. If you are looking for that certain plant, tree, flower, unique yard decoration etc, this is the place to visit.

It's been ONE WEEK and the replacement tree has root rot and is losing leaves daily. I tried to re-pot it and clean the roots but I'm sure it's useless. Seriously Home Depot has better quality plants for a fraction of the price. I'd even say try Amazon first

They have a great selection of items to choose from, and prices are competitive and fair. What keeps me coming back is the staff. Their super friendly and are extremely knowledgeable. They also have regular sales and keep up with seasonal stuff like pumpkins, Christmas décor and other stuff as well. They also stand behind their products so if you buy a tree or plant, I think they will credit you if it does die. Don't quote me on that, but these guys really do stand behind what their selling. My wife and I have spent the last two years finishing our basement and improving our home. Every project represented evenings, weekends, and money that had to be carefully saved. The new washer and dryer were supposed to be one of those rewarding milestones, and quite possibly the only brand-new set we'll ever purchase. Instead, what should have been an exciting delivery became one of the most frustrating home service experiences we've ever had. The delivery team treated our home and appliances with an astonishing lack of care. During what should have been a routine installation, they dented walls, gouged door frames, scratched floors, peeled up sections of flooring, and even damaged the brand-new washer and dryer by cutting too deeply into the packaging. White paint from our trim and walls is now transferred onto the appliances, while dark marks from the appliances are visible on doorways and trim throughout the route they took through our home. The most alarming part was watching one driver insist on moving an appliance alone. Rather than waiting for assistance or using proper care, the unit was repeatedly slammed down and manhandled through the house. The damage was not the result of one unfortunate accident. It was the result of repeated poor decisions and careless handling from start to finish. To make matters worse, after the installation we noticed a gas smell and were assured it would go away. When I later checked behind the dryer myself, I discovered the dryer exhaust vent had not even been connected. Had I simply trusted that the installation was completed correctly, our home could have been exposed to years of moisture damage and related issues. It was an alarming reminder that I had to inspect their work myself to ensure it was done safely and properly. What makes this so difficult to accept is that we didn't just lose the excitement of receiving new appliances. We now have to revisit and repair areas of our home that took years of work to complete. The moment we had worked and saved for turned into an evening spent documenting damage instead of enjoying our purchase. We have security camera footage from both inside and outside the home documenting the delivery process and the resulting damage as well as countless images of the same damage post delivery. We are currently documenting repair costs and working through the claims process. I understand accidents happen. What I cannot understand is the volume of preventable damage caused during a single delivery, or how this level of care could be considered acceptable in a customer's home. I remain hopeful that Home Depot will review the evidence, take responsibility, and make this right. At this point, that is all we are asking.
