This is the closest I have ever felt to being a kid in a candy shop. These are truly gourmet and beautiful chocolates and it's soooo hard to choose which ones to take home with you! For Easter, they had an amazing display of chocolate shaped animals in boxes. I took home a chocolate pyramid which had chocolate ganache on the outside and chocolate and coffee mousse on the inside - YUM. At a little over $4, this delectable treat was a steal. They even have chocolate dessert cups you can buy for dinner parties and fill with your own mousse or something else, and they have chocolate cups you can fill with wine! I love that idea.

Three delicious macarons: coffee, pistachio and chocolate

I was really curious to know what a French macaron really tasted like, so I came here to try some. The store is located on the outside of the building, facing the street. I chose coffee, pistachio and chocolate to try. They cost roughly $2 each. They tasted like almond meringue on the outside, and buttercream icing on the inside.

This is a follow up review after trying another box of 24 chocolates that were shipped to me. This…read morewas a much better experience. I have found a description of some of the chocolate flavours online. There are still several chocolates in the box which are not shown online, especially the decorative holiday designs. I had to bite the bullet (i.e. chocolate [pun intended]) and hope for the best. Unlike the last time, the box was filled with chocolate flavours that I really liked. Some are very original like blueberry tea and the blue speckled dome-shaped dark salted butter caramel. Most of the chocolates shifted out of place, turned upside down or sideways in transit (see photo). I've been in touch with an executive at the company who knows about the issue and is planning to change the packaging. Hopefully, they will also enclose in each box a QR code or website address/URL detailing all their chocolate flavours. I appreciate that someone reached out to me when they read that my experience wasn't as positive as they or I would have liked. This is a company that cares about its customers and reputation. Their handcrafted chocolates are beautiful with many looking like works of art.

The macarons were extremely special - we had the black currant and the lemon and they were both unbelievably delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to stop in here any time you're in Halifax. If you are not a fan of malls, this could change your mind…read more Rocky Mountain Chocolate is just amazing! The store is located in the Halifax Shopping Centre which is a mall and I understand some people aren't fans of that. I myself love malls and walking around. In my teenage years I was proud to call myself a "Mall-rat." But the Halifax Shopping Centre has some unique stores that make this a unique mall experience. And one of the best examples is Rocky Mountain Chocolate. This is a candy and chocolate store like no other. And good news for people who have Diabetes. They have an entire, "no sugar added" selection so you won't be stuck watching your friends enjoy their guilty pleasures. You can join in to ;). I feel compelled to talk about the Caramel Apples. Not because I like Apples. In fact, I hate them. I like the taste but hate the texture. However, if I mention Rocky Mountain Chocolate to anyone the first thing they say is, "the apples are so amazing!" So if you like Apples, check them out. They have the classic Caramel Apple but have a lot more than that. Try M&M chocolate chip Caramel Apple for example. I am a fan of fudge and ice cream. One thing I learned from the last time I was at the store was they make their own specialty ice cream. So you cannot get it anywhere else but at a Rocky Mountain Chocolate store. And trust me when I say, it is really good ice cream. And of course their fudge and chocolate selection is fantastic. The fudge or chocolate aren't so rich that you have one piece and then can't eat anymore. I can definitely go through a few of them. lol. But they are worth it! The staff are always pleasant and very hard working. I would say it is average service so there is some room for growth there. I would love to see smiles all the time and people who just love what they do. But its still good service. If you have a sweet tooth, don't you dare go anywhere else but Rocky Mountain Chocolate if you are in the Halifax Shopping Centre. You are short changing your taste-buds if you go elsewhere.

I have wandered in and out of this shop for years!…read more I've bought ice cream, cookies, chocolates, and caramel... I LOVE the packets of caramel, I like the cookies coated in icing and candy, I find the combinations for the chocolates to be way to blah, and the ice cream flavors usually taste freezer burnt. I joined their member card, just cuz I was on a caramel binge! its a cool idea, to bad I've only used it once or twice.. Some people mention how great it smells, I dont enjoy the smell... it smells like burning over processed chocolate and sugar... Add the smell of less then wonderful product with the extreme price tags on many of the items... Im not a fan... its ok if I wanna have a binge on something sweet and am at the mall! (though i'd usually go down the hall to DQ)

They have the waterfront set up so well, especially with all the cute shop along the way. As soon as my wife saw Sugah, she headed right over. What a great candy store. This is such a great location, big and bright with plenty of candy and chocolate to choose from. The young lady behind the counter was just a delightful person answering a lot of questions and being very helpful. We were so focused on the candy, we did not realize that they also have ice cream. This is a good place for some gift purchases. You can be sure that people will enjoy whatever you get them from here. It was nice that you could sit outside, weather permitting, relax and enjoy your food. KUDOs to the team at Sugah,

It was delicious! There were a few tables and chairs outside so you could sit and watch the boats in the harbor as you ate your ice cream. I especially liked the name and the overall candy store theme. That made it very unique and interesting. Next trip to the Halifax, we definitely will stop by again! The business added the overall atmosphere of the Halifax boardwalk.
