It was creamy, pleasantly sweet, but not too sweet like the actual double-double. The matcha custard taiyaki was the star of all of these - the outer layer was super crispy (it even had some pieces fall off as the "chips," which I could use to dip the whipped cream and chocolate sauce on the plate). The taiyaki cake itself was just perfect. It was crispy on the outside but super soft and creamy inside, and very fresh and hot. The custard was sweet, comforting and delicious, which was perfectly paired with the outer buttery skin. I don't think anything else could beat this combo as the perfect breakfast. The shop was super clean, well-organized and comfortable. The service was excellent. I love this cafe. 4 stars because it's a bit pricy.
