A few folks outside some inside. This made ordering quick and easy, and the food was prepared quickly; a benefit for us, perhaps not for the business. The place is still attractive and clean, with plenty of tables outside and inside. I did not that, as my last visit, there is no shade really provided for the outside seating, save ONE small umbrella. Ugh - not sure what the issue is, and being it was a sunny day, we opted to sit inside as much as the patio called to us. The inside is nice, too, though, and there is easy access to the soda fountain machine and condiments. There are still self-ordering kiosks, large digital menus, and of course, you can also order through the app (even if standing inside!) or at the counter. We ordered a bit of each - side, main, and dessert! There was a portabella "'Shroom" burger (with a crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheeses, topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun), cheese fries, a mac 'n' cheese, chicken bites, and a Key lime shake, a special offering! Damn the calories, full taste ahead! The food was indeed prepared quickly and served hot. The Shroom burger was my favorite last time, and for taste and texture this time was also delicious and good. The cheeses inside were melty-gooey, and the mushroom crispy. It was, though, much smaller than I remember - it fit within my hand! A con, against the price, for what is a nice option for veggies or anyone wanting a change in their burger. The chicken bites were smaller than expected in size, more like nuggets, but tasty. The mac 'n' cheese was also tasty, but also a bit small for the price. The fries are always good, and in this case, you need to dig to the bottom early on to scrape some of the melted cheese that dripped down back onto the fries. Very yummy. But the best part was the Key lime shake, a flavor I just love (cheesecake is my favorite iteration of this flavor) but this milkshake satisfied me greatly. A little pricier than their everyday shakes, but how often so you find a unique flavor like this! A win! Overall, a solid 4-stars for food flavor and quality, and also for ambience and environment. Price wise, it was about $40 for two of us, so not a great bargain, but given the economy today I have the same financial shock at other places as well. Still, a nice treat and we left happy.

First the good. My partner introduced me to Gott's, and I have to say, the food was fantastic! Best burger i've had in a long time, and best garlic fries and onion rings i've ever had anywhere!...Now for the bad. The customer service is not only lacking, but downright offensive. While waiting for our food, I decided that I wanted a soda and went back in line to order one drink. Upon repeating the order back to me, the cashier said "diet coke. I corrected him and said I ordered a regular coke. He then continued to debate and said that I said diet coke. Which to then I had to correct him a second time and said I ordered a regular coke. He debated back a third time. He clearly had a chip on his shoulder because this exchange happened before I even paid....At this point I thought, "whether I said it wrong, or you heard wrong, does it really matter? What's all this debating for? Are you not going to update the order from diet coke to regular coke? It's not like i'm sending food back to the kitchen!" Anyhow, after I pay and he gets my drink and hands it to me, he says, "you said diet coke, but that's ok"...wow. Dude would not drop it. I used to work in customer service for over 15 years, and this is not how you treat customers. You can tell that he probably hates his job but you can't act like that to customers. Whoever the male cashier was on September 13th at 12:15pm, I hope your manager sees this and makes you do more customer service training. Because of you, my review is only 2 stars instead of 5 stars. read more

My French fry was bent. Now that I've got your attention. In 1673, Chilean Francisco Núñez de Pineda mentioned eating "papas fritas" in 1629, but it is not known what exactly these were. Fries may have been invented in Spain, the first European country in which the potato appeared from the New World colonies.[32] Professor Paul Ilegems, curator of the Frietmuseum in Bruges, Belgium, believes that Saint Teresa of Ávila of Spain cooked the first french fries, and refers also to the tradition of frying in Mediterranean cuisine as evidence.[33][34] Belgian food historian Pierre Leclercq has traced the history of the french fry and asserts that "it is clear that fries are of French origin".Fries are first mentioned in 1775 in a Parisian book, and the first recipe for modern French fries is in the French cookbook La cuisinière républicaine in 1795. They became an emblematic Parisian dish in the 19th century. Frédéric Krieger, a Bavarian musician, learned to cook fries at a roaster on rue Montmartre in Paris in 1842, and took the recipe to Belgium in 1844, where he would create his business Fritz and sell "la pomme de terre frite à l'instar de Paris", 'Paris-style fried potatoes'.[The modern style of fries born in Paris around 1855 is different from the domestic fried potato that existed in the 18th century. The French and Belgians have an ongoing dispute about where fries were invented. read more

I recently visited Gott's Roadside with high expectations due to their renowned food, which indeed was fantastic. However, my experience was tainted by a disappointing encounter with the manager. Before visiting, I called to confirm that they served Neapolitan shakes, and was told they did. Upon arrival, the manager informed me that the machine couldn't make them, which I understood. However, she then insisted that next time I call, I should ensure the person I speak with notifies the manager. This was unnecessary and could have been handled better. Her attitude throughout the interaction was the most upsetting part. In the food industry, flexibility and customer service are key. She could have suggested alternatives, like purchasing a vanilla shake and mixing it with the other flavors myself. Instead, after requesting a chocolate/strawberry shake, I was only given chocolate. Great food is essential, but customer service is equally important. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a negative impression of Gott's. read more

I really wanted to like this place- because I live nearby and have enjoyed my previous experiences at the napa location and the ferry building location. My Experience: 1) Ordered two cheeseburgers, fries and a shake 2) Received everything I ordered but--- the two burgers were raw and lukewarm. I typically like my food to be hot. The manager who was very courteous agreed that our burgers were rare-- kindy sketchy for ground beef. He took one of them back and made a new one. While this one was warmer, they had put way to much lettuce- which ruined the taste of the whole burger. Making a burger shouldn't be rocket science especially if you're charging your customers $8.99 for a burger. I have mixed feelings about going back- a little scared of getting salmonella- but I want to give it another because of nostalgia. Also, when there are such great burger places in the vicinity: super duper, habit, counter, and soon to be shake shack, I am a bit divided. read more

We arrived here late on a Friday. My nose was assaulted by the fragrance of smokey richness as soon as I entered. Even though the restaurant was full, the waiter managed to locate us a seat. I didn't read the reviews before entering this establishment, yet I was expecting the best. The California Burger and the Impossible Burger were ordered for me by my husband. My expectations were high because the food was an expensive per burger. They offered us water from a glass bottle while we waited for the food, which took around 15 minutes to come. Their burger was excellent, and the cheese was placed evenly over the beef. My taste buds hugged the burger and I was blown away when I took the first mouthful. I normally end up with some bread after eating a burger, but this time, all I had was MEAT. The ratio of meat to bread was extremely high. Overall, it was a terrific experience, and I'll probably come back. read more

You're going to be treated well, and the food has immensely satisfying crunch. Everything here that I've tried so far is made from scratch, and it's obvious. The chicken, despite being doused in sauce, isn't soggy at all, rather the wings just pop into your mouth. The fries are not to be outdone and taste fresh and crisp. I ate far too much here. It's clear that the owner has a passion for making delicious food and it's easy to see that love going into the quality you get. One of the best classic buffalo wings I've ever had.
