I send in their "error form" and they responded by telling me that they warned me that cards may shift during the cutting process. They offered a "store credit" refund. Wish there was a NEGATIVE STAR Rating... I wish I used Yelp before to see what other customers were saying, as now I know that I'm not alone! I am extremely unhappy with their customer service as their quality control dept was extremely rude, unsympathetic, and ignorant. The manager stated "other people have submitted files just fine, I don't know why you did it wrong" and "it was your fault that you submitted the files that way, you should have read directions and clicked on the green icon for instructions, I know I would If I was you" or "you just did it wrong, it's your fault". No matter if the customer was at fault or the company was at fault and they didn't want to admit it, you DO NOT say this to a customer! He clearly needed training in customer service! And he was supposedly the "manager" for quality control. I had very valid points in my defense and he shot them all down stating that I was at fault and he was right without acknowledging any of my points or the company's weaknesses. Their website did not have clear instructions and I was right on many of my points. This is not the proper way to discuss a problem with a customer, I worked in customer service before and this was highly unacceptable. The rep on the phone was very rude to me. I hate doing these kind of reviews but this BY FAR...THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD! I have never been through so much hassle just to get 500 business cards printed. I placed my order last Tuesday April 21,2015 and today is April 27,2015. I have NOT received any email about the status of my order. The representative told me that they normally send an email when the order would be ready. Guess what? I checked my inbox and the only email I have is the one confirming my order got approved. THAT IS IT. No apologies or ANYTHING. Rude... I called twice and they told me that it takes 8 DAYS to print matte business cards. I first off want to say I've been to MANY places that gets the job done for the SAME price in less than 3 days. Your company lacks organization. If I had known that it take 8 DAYS to print I would have NEVER placed my order with your company. I would understand if your company is based overseas but you guys are in CALIFORNIA. They wanted to charge $9 to ship my business cards when I live around the area so I opted to pick it up. After two phone calls this morning they finally gave me a time to pick it up. Which is 4PM. RIDICULOUS. I live in Diamond Bar. After I get off work the place will be closed! I WILL NEVER EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Yelpers. Save yourself the time and stress. GotPrint - This was my LAST email I received from this company. It's been a week! No status udate?! Horrible!! - Printing Services Near Me - Burbank, California

Know before you go. That's the lesson here. That's the rule. Read everything you can about the turnaround times, the formatting, the shipping and all the other important information and you'll have a splendid experience. A revelatory one. A blissful one that makes you feel like you've just gotten away with something. Lucky for you, all the information is spelled out on the website. I've ordered on a couple of occasions and tried a few different products and I couldn't be happier. 1) Turnaround times Figure out what they are. They may be different for different products, and within certain products you may select things like different UV coatings or rounded corners or whatever that will affect the turnaround time. Don't assume that just because your postcards took 5 days last time that they'll take 5 days this time. Or that your banners will take 5 days. If they say 4-8 days (for example) they mean it may take all 8 days. Luckily, it's all spelled out on the site and they seem really dedicated to staying true to what they publish. Read it. Abide by it. Love it. 2) Formatting Know the file format, and know the artwork format. You may have to talk to a pal to get help getting it right if you're not super familiar with page layout stuff, but they try to make it as easy as possible. I just download their templates and everything was super smooth. But it's not the kind of operation where you can just save a jpg off the internet and forward it to them and say, "Ya, I want this to be a flyer with a phone number and stuff." 3) Price That's why we're all here, isn't it. Honestly, they rock. Like, rock my socks. I just ordered 8.7 million postcards for $12. Okay, that's not true at all. But it felt like it. If you're the kind of person that just wants to hand over an idea to someone to have them figure it out and print what you want, you're really going to be better served by a local print shop. Chances are the local guys will be faster about it too. That's what they're there for, to be your "guy" and not your "printer." For projects I need to monitor closely I still go to the local guy. I pay more, but that's my trade. If you're the kind of person who is willing to spend a few minutes in the fine print and do a little bit of work up front, you're going to get some seriously slick printing work done for seriously sick prices. I ordered 250 business cards over Memorial Day weekend and paid extra for rush service. They have a web interface to upload your graphics and get a full "proof" of what your card will look like. Everything upload and looked correct to me, and I checked all the boxes to sign off on the look. The rush service described the cards as being shipped out 2 days after order acceptance, so my order essentially would be accepted on Tuesday and ship out Thursday. I selected overnight shipping so I could get the cards on Friday in time for the weekend I needed the cards for. On Monday I got this email: Please note that the artwork is not centered and there is uneven white space around the image. Please advise if you wish to proceed as is OR if you need to cancel this order so you may place a new one with the correct bleed. If you would like to make the changes make the dimension size of the background image 3.6 x 2.1 inches with a 350 dpi. This order is on HOLD. I responded ASAP with an attachment of the original image that I had uploaded and told them it looked fine in the web interface. On Tuesday, I got this email: Thank you for your interest in our services. The current order is canceled, please make sure to submit a new order with the new files. If you have any question, please email us at info@gotprint.com with your order number. I responded ASAP asking why my order was canceled and how I can fix it. I tried the web interface and emailing an attachment, so I didn't know what else to try. I was told "Files can not be uploaded for orders designed on the web site. The order has been canceled so that you can re-submit it with the corrected options." My subsequent emails to the company asking for someone to call me to figure out the issue have been ignored. read more

Color was off on card, a printing error. I complained, and got a confusing response. Called back and was able to arrange a reprint. Eight days later the reprint arrived with colors corrected. Total time from ordering to viable product: nineteen days. Customer service was nice and helpful, and the final product looks good, but the fact is... the cards are almost two weeks late now, and it's kind of silly to do a 'save the date' mailing less than 4 weeks out from the event. I have to do more printing soon, but as it has a time value, will look elsewhere. read more

First, I'll say I'm a Graphic Designer and got print is always my go to printing company for whenever I need to get everything printed from my personal business cards to promo materials for the different clients I design for. My clients are always so happy with the paper and printing quality as well as the prices!! No other company I've worked with has both great quality and great prices. People are always impressed with the quality of my personal business cards when I give them out also.. I always use the matte 16pt option, it's my favorite! Decided to write this review now because I'm getting married this year and used them to print my save the dates AND all of the inserts for my wedding invites. I designed everything but made a mistake when choosing paper weight for my invites and literally wanted to cry because I knew I would have to spend more money on printing when I was already on a tight budget. I contacted them, explained what happened and customer service was amazing!! I feel so better about re-printing everything and know the quality will be just as amazing as my save the dates were! Only recently discovered that they lack the system to handle bulk business cards orders. Currently in a nightmare scenario with having to upload 125 business card orders (all the same format and quantity-different employees at one company) individually through their online system. Each upload will take between 2 (at best) and 4 minutes, and as you add more cards, the system tends to bog down. Have to pace myself doing about 25 a day (their max order size, anyway) to get through this with any sanity left. Client not happy with having to pay the extra cost of all the extra time to upload. When I called beforehand to see if they had a way to accommodate larger orders like this, she could only apologize. read more

Graphic designers and those serving customers: BEWARE! If you need something by a specific date DO NOT pay for the extra shipping because it's not honored at all by the company! I have been using this company for over 15 years. I just recently put in three orders and chose expedited shipping to guarantee my order would be received by my customer on a specific date. As of the last day it was supposed to be delivered, it was still in print, so I called for an update and they said it could take up to two more days to get there as it hasn't been shipped yet. I don't understand why if I paid for expedited shipping they don't guarantee it. I understand they can't control shipping times, but the project wasn't even finalized by the last day it was supposed to be there. My client needed it by a specific date because she was going out of town, so now they can't be used. I could have saved money and not lost a client. When I called to ask about the situation the customer service representative said oh that's just an estimate. I asked why I paid extra for expedited shipping and processing, and again all he said was that's an estimate. Didn't care at all. Incredibly disappointed and this 15-year-customer won't be back. There are actual websites that are dedicated to the poor customer service they have... I used this service once, they jacked up the order and gave me a credit. I thought, ok, I'll try again... Now I'm finding out that the shipping time frame they gave me, according to their own employees, isn't even a possibility... So here I am, 2nd order, 2nd issue... I used GotPrint several times a few years ago. Their service was pretty reliable and the work was of good quality. However the software for design that runs on their website was very poor and fiddly. I went back to them a few days ago - their promotions suggested that their web design service was better. It is not - and runs on Adobe Flash, which is dangerous for most computer users. I used Google Chrome (which includes Flash as standard) as a workaround. The "advanced designer" software is still no better than before. I designed a new business card (as I've moved) and ordered a small supply of them. I'm currently in Hawaii on business, and thought I might send the cards here. Their website estimated shipping costs at $31 for "Express Shipping" (2 days) and $55.65 for "Standard" (6 business days) service! Something wrong here. . .a box of business cards shipped regular post is about $4. Switching to my regular home address in California, I was offered $9.10 for "Standard" shipping, $16.48 for Next Day AM and $17.16 for Next Day PM! Something definitely wrong here. read more

Here it is March 7, ordered for a rush on Feb 20 and still no cards. Called yesterday. They had more excuses and said that they basically hadn't even started printing. They said bc they got an email march 3 to take the rush off they held off production. They also claim not to bill you until production is done. LIES!! These people billed me march 1st. They were asked to refund the rush since they obviously didn't rush. You'd think they'd have some kind of decent customer service to push it through on a rush and discount since this has been all on their end. Nope. They don't offer anything. Recently placed first order with GotPrint - had I read the many negative reviews on here, I probably would not have used them... I usually order from Vistaprint, but their constant up-selling, emailing and need for promotional codes to get a decent deal has gotten tedious and made me want to try other vendors. Placed an order for 2 business cards with GotPrint, and in short, very pleased with the card printing, paper and pricing. Only gripe was the shipping. For some reason my two cards arrived separately, a few days apart. Order placed Aug 25 - selected standard shipping (UPS Ground) First card shipped Aug 29 - arrived Aug 31 Second shipped Aug 31 - arrived Sept 2 Using a flat rate USPS Priority Mail box would have been both cheaper and faster.... Even though cads were a good price, it felt like they were trying to the inflate the shipping price to offset... hate feeling like I'm overpaying for shipping. [I'm reposting this after it was removed for including a recommendation for a different service--apparently against yelp guidelines. I've edited out that info] I'm a photographic artist, and have been getting invitation / promotion postcards printed since the 1990s. Also as a photographic artist, I'm a cheapskate--my limited funds go to the more vital things, like making art and paying rent. I've rarely been able to afford top-shelf card printers like Modern, so I do the dance of looking for decent quality, budget-priced cards. GotPrint isn't the place. My onscreen proof looked good (I use a fully calibrated/profiled monitor and workflow), but the card looked terrible. When I told them there was a problem, they asked me--get this--to send them a cell phone pic of the card. Not a joke. I did what they asked, grudgingly, and they informed me that the match was withinin 85%, which is their standard. [Deep breath] If you're not familiar with printing, I'll just say that an 85% match is analogous to your plane crashing into the ocean next to the runway. Yes, it got close! In digital printing these days, accuracy better than 97% is typical--this would be a difference you could see in a side-by-side comparison, but that wouldn't matter much in real life. 85% equals a postcard that will inspire someone unfamiliar with your work to say "what the hell is that??" I got furious, and they informed me that for a refund I had to send back, at my expense, all the messed up cards. This is just hazing. It was expensive, but I did it on general principle. It took enldess back and forth emails to get to this point, including their offering to reprint the order at my expense ... with a discount. Thanks! It also took several rounds of emails, including my sending them the tracking number, to actually get my refund. Now I'm back to using the service I was using before (I'm not allowed to print their name, but check my other reviews). Summary: Gotprint is a terrible printing company. Its standard of 15% error wouldn't satisfy anyone. This is a way of using the website's fine print to make their quality guarantee meaningless. And--offering a "discount code" on reprinting a defective order is just an insult. Prediction: some corporate tool from GotPrint is going to reply directly to this review with something pedantic that demonstrates that he/she has not comprehended any of the above. Edited again, after a barage of emails from GotPrint Social Media. Stated purpose: "to see what else we can do to turn this experience around for you." Method: to ignore the details of my complaints, to make excuses, and to insinuate that I don't understand printing or color management. I've been a loyal GotPrint customer for 8 years (printing mostly postcards), but recently their quality has been declining. With my last job done, enough is finally enough. This is really sad, because GotPrint used to be an excellent company. They used to have quick turnaround, excellent print quality, and first rate customer service. Now the print time has slowed, the physical stock used and print quality are diminishing, and the customer service is one-size-fits-none. To talk a little bit about this last order when enough-was-enough: the material for the postcard was very thin, so that it felt (and bent) more like paper than a proper postcard. The print quality was also dull and pixelated (despite starting from a high rez 300DPI master). The product looks embarrassingly amateurish, and cannot be used to represent the product advertised. I am grateful for the 8 years when they were great, but I have to search out another vendor now. read more

Now that I'm done crying, here's my updated review. GotPrint managed to screw up my order TWICE. I submitted my order late night on Sat March 5. I received my order on Mon March 14, on the sixth business day after submission. A printing mistake appeared on every single card. I contacted GotPrint by phone on 3/14, was told to submit a problem message, & submitted a problem message on 3/14. Didn't hear back for 4 days, so *I* called GotPrint again on 3/18. Read my first review for GotPrint on 3/20 if you'd like more details. On 3/21, a GotPrint manager contacted me on Yelp. After exchanging a few messages, I almost wanted to look forward to the assurance of improved service, and I considered bumping up my rating in an update. That will not happen. In a second message via Yelp, the manager informed me that not only was the lack of response GotPrint's error, but the printing mistake was GotPrint's error as well. In the course of the back-and-forth messaging, these things stood out: 1. A $10 coupon would be given for my inconvenience. 2. Reprints were said to be placed on a "higher priority" than regular orders. 3. The manager said some form of "I will do my best" or "I assure you we will do everything we can to turn this experience around for you" four times. This statement was reiterated several times by others in the company. 4. The manager said some form of "we resolve it for you as quickly as possible" SEVEN times. This was said several other times in phone conversations or chats with other GotPrint reps. Most decent companies would *comp* orders if the company was at fault for a mistake in the order. GotPrint made two mistakes and offered me a $10 coupon so that I could subject myself to more crappy service. There seems to be no difference between an order that is "higher priority" and regular orders. See below for explanation. When a manager repeatedly drills into your mind that they will do their best, offer many assurances, and try to convince you of service that exemplifies "as soon as possible," you get the impression that your order will be sped through the process and waiting for your order the second time will be much more pleasant than the first. The opposite was true for GotPrint. When I put in my first order, I received the shipment on the 6th business day. The reprinting that resulted from GotPrint's mistake delayed the reprinting from happening for 4 days, and I didn't receive my shipment until the 7th business day. Now, one business day doesn't make a big difference unless, of course, you were being assured with phrases such as "as soon as possible". In no way did my order ever seem like it was on a higher priority. 3/21 Talked with Armen on the phone and he said that a manager would see that my document goes into printing today. 3/22 Spoke with Evelyn E on live chat to ask for confirmation of my order going into print. She was less interested in offering help, and more interested in saying things such as "Orders are reviewed in the order in which they are received. If you wish to further discuss the problem with Armen you can call in" despite the fact that I told her I had no access to a phone that day. 3/25 Spoke with Elizabeth O on live chat to ask for the status of my order. She says it's still in print and should be completed in 2-3 business days. I ask why it is taking so long since my order went into print on Monday and she explains the batching process, which makes no exceptions for reprints. She also states, "We try to be as efficient as possible to keep the costs down for our customers" and "This order will complete within the turnaround time." That last statement gave me no impression that being on "higher priority" was any different than submitting an order for regular priority. I also do not appreciate that all live chats end with the customer service rep saying, "Thank you for using GotPrint.com and have a wonderful day!" no matter how dissatisfied the customer feels about GotPrint's service. Those canned responses are a clear sign that GotPrint has a greater understanding of mere decorum than a genuine interest in resolving customers' issues. ***Wed 3/30*** I finally receive my order from GotPrint. I open the box. The main printing error is fixed, but now there is a MAJOR MISALIGNMENT ERROR. I don't know how GotPrint manages to screw up so many things at once. This is absolutely -- absolutely -- ridiculous. A few other reviewers had positive experiences, but they seem to be exceptions. I recommend that all new customers steer clear of this company. Yes, I recommend that you pay more for services at other companies so that you can at least have some peace of mind -- and not have to deal with a reprinting or poor/misleading customer service. Unless you want to screw yourself over. Words cannot describe how disappointed and pissed off I am right now. I wasted 25 days dealing with GotPrint. P.S. This is a company equivalent to rotten cat vomit. They supposed to do one thing, and they don't do it. We ordered 5,000 postcards and put in a rush order. They told us they would be ready for pickup by Friday- we get there Friday afternoon and they won't be ready until Monday. Way to not tell us either and not only waste our money, but also our time. The order we put in before that was for 1,000 postcards. A week later we get a bunch of flyers for some random church function instead. Thanks, but that's not what we ordered. Hey, guess what! Buyers beware, if you need something printed, be sure to order at least 2 months before you are ready to use. They NEVER seem to get anything right. Customer service will tell you one thing, then one week later when you are expecting your order, something gets screwed up and you have to wait again...with fingers crossed that this time it will actually go into production. You are lucky if you get your order in a month unless you are willing to fork over extra cash for rush and even then you have to be on top of them to make sure it actually gets done. Prices are great but with customer service sacrificed. Horrible turnaround time and the entire experience will leave you frustrated and stressed. I have never wanted to pull my hair out more than I have with this printer. I understand cutting out the cost on customer service, but what about common sense? GotPrint screwed up three different pieces in my order, or should I say two and then jam packed all the envelopes so tight in my last order that they are all stuck together and rip apart when you try to pull them. Oh and that "coupon code" that they say they will send takes up to a week to process, or so I am told by some lady reading a prompt who only says the same thing over and over again. That does you no good when your client is already pissed off that they don't have the finished product in hand. Only use this printer if you have no problem getting the wrong thing, waiting, being spoken to like you are a fourth grader...oh and also if you don't mind being fired over working with them. The customer service motto seems to be "No, we can't" and this has been my experience with almost every person I ever spoke with in the company. Ordered 5000 business cards, 5 different batches for my entire office. ALL 5000 of them were either cut or printed crooked... either way my design is not centered on the card. We call their customer support to discuss the issue and all they did is rudely tell me to submit a claim on their website and made no effort to resolve the issue over the phone at all. The only plus side is our order was cheap... BUT we still don't have business cards... I still don't know when I will have them or whether or not they will refund me or reprint them. If I had the choice... I wouldn't go through Got Print again... nor would I recommend them to anyone. You get what you pay for! read more

Worst card printing website ever. I would give it a negative star if I could! Used a professional designer to create my cards and he used their business card templates in order for me to upload the files. 1) I sent them an Illustrator file (a format they accept) and used their template to create the file. They said it was wrong and needed an outline. 2) Designer did it again with outline and they said the file was corrupted and needed a PDF file. 3) I re-uploaded a PDF file of the outlined card and they said their "template was on the left on the document and cannot be removed" (huh? what?) 4) They canceled my order. P.S I called customer service after #1 happened and told him I cannot edit Illustrator file as I don't have the program. He said he could not help me with my Illustrator file. Wasn't that the perfect time to upsell me on their editing services and add it to my bill? (I would have gladly paid) Shocking communication standards and customer service. I would definitely pay more for better service. GotPrint definitely defines the sentence "you get what you pay for" - Cheap prices and crap service. Glad I was the guinea pig to test this website before referring the rest of the staff in my office to them for our printing needs. I've used Got Print for a while, and generally, things went smoothly. It would normally take about 3 weeks to get anything (and it wasn't anything that needed to be flawlessly perfect), but since it wasn't a rush, it was not big deal. Things came well printed, it was all good. I foolishly thought using Got Print would be a good idea to get some business related materials printed. It was a rush job, I had placed the order on a Monday and expected to get it early the next week. About a week turn around, and I paid a little extra to make sure it got to me in time. A full week. Perfectly reasonable amount of time for a rush job. Boy, was I wrong. I guess their system freaked out and thought that the thing I printed went over the dyeline (even though it didn't) and canceled the order without me knowing. So a rush job I placed on Monday got canceled without me knowing on a Tuesday and I found out about it on Friday, because I checked on their website myself. No email, no notification, nothing. Just canceled. I understand the cancling, since the online system can freak out sometimes, but no notification? Really? Come on... So after an hour hold with customer service, I got to speak with someone who could care less about their job and was terribly rude. I got passed around to a few people and ended up in a completely different department. I ended up getting so frustrated, I told them to just cancel the whole order. Over two hours on the phone. Seriously?!? I guess I'm going to make a trip to Kinkos today. Such a shame, since Got Print was a really reasonable place, if you're not in a rush. But their terrible customer service and inability to care means they lost me as a customer. I mean, I guess I get what I pay for. And honsetly, what did I expect? I know just a little about print, and it seems like they have a pretty large issue with quality control and (weell, DUH) customer service. But the high volume of print jobs that come in is pretty normal for a print house of this size, so it shouldn't really be an issues. I guess 20$ business cards come with a very high personal pricetag.... the other Yelp reviews here paint a pretty ugly company. And that's sad, since I didn't look at reviews until I had this issue. Put in a rush order for some Post Cards and paid the extra for rush processing. When i called in I was told on a different page of their website it said that "Rush Order" meant three days before it was done printing and shipped. On the other hand, cards we had printed locally and sent in yesterday, are already ready to pickup, so I'm just going to boost my order there. This was my first experience with GotPrint.com and they came recommended for their great price, but I guess that's what you get when you race to the bottom on price, that "discount" comes at the cost of rude customer service and slow turn around. My husband and I recently placed an order with this company for postcards. We picked them up, but the skin tone on figure in the picture was much too red - it looked like that of an angry cartoon character! We took the postcards home to compare them to the tone of the digital proof, to make sure this wasn't in the original file (thinking maybe the error was ours). Well, our bad - we should have stood our ground right there and refused to accept the postcards, because trying to get this resolved after the fact has been a nightmare. After several phone calls - the most recent of which was a forty minute call where we spent the first twenty minutes just trying to get transferred to the rep we had spoken with before - we were told the same line that apparently others have heard, that there is 15% variability in the colors and that they aren't responsible for the variation. If a printer can't stand by their own printing and has no measure of quality control, - i.e. the skin tone is so egregiously wrong that anyone who saw these being printed should have stopped the printing - then why use them? There are other, better printers in LA who take pride in their prints and stand by their work. read more

First time customer here and I ordered some postcards. The color was way off. it was 5 times brighter than what I designed and as a photographer, my monitors are calibrated so printing can be exact. Never had any color issues with big companys until I dealt with this small one. I ordered 5 x 5" postcards. I have a color scheme for my logo and branding. I was excited to order since the cost was great and I even picked it up from their warehouse so I can get them sooner. When I arrived, I got my order, opened it immediately and noticed that it was a bright blue. Thinking it was my mistake I drove home and pulled up the file that I created myself on photoshop. Color was completely off. I called them immediately since I wanted to fix this right away. The honest gentlemen over the phone told me this happens ALL THE TIME so directed and walked me over how to contact quality control through their website. He said for me to make sure I state that I'm a first time customer so they can pay special attention to me. Really? So if I order a 2nd time I won't get the quality service as stated on their website? Kind of sad! So I got a response days later saying: "We apologize for any inconvenience. Could you please provide us with (5-10) digital samples? This will help us assist you with this matter you have brought to our attention (2995426). Be advised that based on our samples and your files, this order is matching. Therefore additional samples from you are required. Please take photos of the product you have received and email them to us. Please take a photo of about 5-10 samples that you received. Please do not sent 5-10 photos but a glance shot of 5-10 samples. Do not send the file that you uploaded when placing the order." Really? I now understand why Yelpers are saying they request the studpidest and the most confused instructions. Take a photo 5-10 sames? Why would you need 5 - 10 images especially if most likely the color on my phone camera won't match what you have. I emailed them back saying it doesn't make sense for me to do that so I sent them the file once again even if they asked me not to. Next email I get they have the nerves to ask me to call them when all my vendors call me to show that they care and really want to resolve the issue. Now I'm stuck with these, I wasted gas to drive down there to check out their warehouse and in the end I get a postcard thats not even our company colors. I've been using GotPrint for years for one reason...I like the end product. Their process and customer service however have always left something to be desired. If everything goes smoothly...according to their process and not that of the customer...then everything is fine. I had 2500 copies of a calendar printed by them this year. I did everything I could on my end to ensure the end product was correct. Used their templates, followed their rules, even paid the (insanely high) $150 hard copy proof to ensure there were no errors on my part that would effect the final product. The process was so slow. The "notifications" I was supposed to receive from them never came. If I hadn't gone into my account a week after approving my hard copy proof, I wouldn't have know my secondary, digital proofs were ready for review. Then it took weeks for them to print them...the process took over a month from placing the order to receiving it. When they arrived...there was a HUGE printing mistake; a blank spot on every calendar that wasn't there in either the printed proof or the digital proofs. After submitting my problem to them...they were slow, dismissive and flat out rude to me. I called several times to speak to my "rep" and each time...I was blown off. "He's not here." "He's at lunch." "He's in a meeting." I was furious. Mostly because the event I had scheduled to release the calendar was only a few days away. By the time I finally heard back from them "with their options" I had no time...and I was forced to use the wrongly printed calendars. I was given a 20% discount, which frankly was insulting. They didn't do the one job they were hired to do...print my project properly. I got a lot of "mistakes sometimes happen" and "we're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused" but it was all so disingenuous and cookie cutter. I will never use them again. There are plenty of other printers out there, and I am happy to give them my business. Unless you are willing to "take it or leave it" spend your money with more worthy and honorable businesses. UPDATE: IN RESPONSE TO UPDATE FROM "N.S. of GotPrint" - The options offered to me by the Quality Control Manager were no good to me since my event was a mere days away. I didn't have the time to wait for the process to repeat itself. - The amount paid in total was $2,828.12, of which $700 was refunded, so that was a 25% discount...not 20% as I underestimated or 30% as you overestimated. - As far as placing orders "well in advance" ... my event was on September 14th. I placed this order online and uploaded the files via FTP on August 7th. 5 weeks is more than a reasonable amount of time for a print job of this to be completed as well as leaving time to fix any unexpected mistakes. I hope you would agree. - I understand the concept of the partial refund and why a fully refunded product would need to be returned. However, I do feel the refund was under offered on your part. I don't feel that you should had been able to profit from a job where the mistake that you made and a very slow turnaround time didn't allow me any other option but to use the incorrect materials. - I was checking my spam folder for the notifications, as that has happened in the past with other online vendors. I recently re-ordered business cards (the second time I've re-ordered the same cards). Instead of getting the navy blue background with white lettering I ordered, I received black and white cards. I went back and checked my proofs to make sure they were navy, they were. The response I received from gotprint was email after email blaming me for the mistake. They refused to correct the order and refused to refund my money. It's sad because I was just about to spend several hundred dollars on banners and other printed items over the next few months and now all of that business will go to one of their competitors. I actually had a decent experience with this business up until they screwed up my order and refused to take responsibility and actually blamed me for it! I received my order of 2,500 business cards and they were all printed slightly crooked. I called them up and the guy I spoke to said they will print a new batch for me. I thought "great!" The next morning I received an email from them offering me 10% off my next order instead.(??) I called them and the rep told me that I uploaded my image into there system crooked, so it was my fault. I explained that this is not one big uploaded image and that the design consists of 6 separate uploaded images. I would have had to intentionally situate each image along the same line and in an equally crooked manner to the exact degree in order for this to have been my fault! I asked, "why would I intentionally do that?". He told me I had to go to there website and send a message to their "quality control" department. I asked, "can't you transfer me so I can speak to them?" He put me on hold so he could speak to them and came back to repeat the same mind numbing claim that I uploaded the "image" crooked. I told him to transfer me so I could speak to these people myself. He said they wouldn't speak to me and that I needed to message them from their website! I said either they get on the phone with me or they loose my business, I would file a complaint with BBB, and leave negative reviews for them online. Sure enough he got them to talk to me, but no matter how many times I explained how irrational and absurd their conclusion was. Again, a conclusion which implied that I would have had to have uploaded 6 separate images along the same line and in an equally crooked manner to the exact degree in order for this to have been my fault! He simply said, "I don't know what you did". And he kept referring to "the image" even though he could have easily verified that there were -in fact- 6 separate images! Then he agreed to refund my order, but I would have to pay to ship the cards back to them. He said the reason was because I could still use them! I'm going to use crooked business cards?! I told him that I was not going to pay a penny for their screwed up crooked business cards and that they need to accept responsibility for their obviously botched print job. He then decided to give me a full refund without having to ship the cards back, but I would not be able to do business with them again! LOL, as if I was going to continue doing so. IN RESPONSE TO GOTPRINT'S FALLACIOUS RESPONSE BELOW: There is something seriously wrong with you people. You are simply being DISHONEST and digging a bigger hole for yourselves here. NOW, you are claiming that just ONE image of the 6 were uploaded crooked, when you guys were insisting that the whole file/one all encompassing image was uploaded crooked?? Than why are ALL of the images crooked in perfect sync with each-other, if just ONE was uploaded crooked?? You guys keep bringing up the shift during the cutting process, but I never complained about that. My issue was only regarding your crooked print job, which you guys still refuse to take responsibility for. I sent a customer request through their website and did not receive a response. After a Twitter request a week later, their customer service team flew into action like rockstars. They even offered to refund the order if the product was too late to use. They're not bad, just make sure to call or tweet them instead of using their website for customer service requests. read more

Update 1/20/14: GotPrint's customer service offered me a full credit toward my next order, which I believe is a nice show of support. I'm still not sure what I would or could do differently to guarantee better results. But, I'm willing to try again and see what happens. --------------------------------------------------------------------- My experience is an exact replica of Paul R.'s review. I had high hopes for GotPrint.com - they seemed to have a nice website with many affordable options to suit all tastes and budgets. I used their template in Adobe Illustrator to their exact recommendations. My on-screen proof looked exactly how I wanted my print-out to look. A week later I was excited to open my first business cards. One side looked decent. The second side looked completely washed out (the side with my company's logo). It was several tints lighter than anything that would be acceptable. (By the way, I printed the same file on two color laserjet printers and the color was perfect. I used the same file to get signs made with another company and those signs looked great. So my file was not the issue). I opened a support ticket through the website. I didn't expect a complete refund, but I thought they would at least offer me several options of how to correct the problem. Just like others have said, they asked me to send a photo of 5-10 of the images. This seemed completely strange, but I complied. I've worked for printing companies in the past and none of our customers would ever let us get away with this. What you see on your proof is what you expect to get.
