The prices are good, trust me I called every storage facility in the area to compare. The hours are good and they are only closed on major holidays. The lady at the front is not very welcoming, but she does what is needed and is always there to answer any questions. My only complaint is that there are rodents, I am not sure if this is common in storage units, but I only store clothing and hard goods. The front office lady placed some "poison" in my storage unit, but it hasn't done anything. It's not a big deal, but I see rat poop every once in a while and it can get pretty annoying. Besides that this place is pretty cool and in a good location.

This location is gated, and you're provided with a code when you sign up. Also, the location provides security cameras throughout. There are multiple signs posted for a speed limit of 5 mph, which I think is great. It's nice for us to carefully and thoughtfully make it to our storage units. It's good to be respectful of the property. This is a pretty large self-storage facility. There's space for RVs, boats, and cars. The employees are always very friendly, even if there's a long line. My interactions with them overall have been very positive. I occasionally notice litter around the facility, but overall, the premises are kept relatively clean. They recently did some asphalt maintenance. They sent out emails and contacted us to let us know what was happening. We had plenty of advance notice, which was very professional. I like that I can pay online, pay in advance, and I can set up autopay. Overall, I believe it's a good value. The biggest thing I've noticed with my unit is that it gets pretty dusty, so I recommend the appropriate covers for furniture or mattresses. Even with the door closed and the unit being slightly elevated, the dust still gets into the unit. I decided to elevate my items this time and put them on metal shelving racks, and have a storage design of sorts. I didn't do that before, but since I've had many storage units over my lifetime, I've learned that elevating your items is better than leaving them on the unit's floor. Overall, I'm very pleased with this facility.

She walked us through all the rules and prices so there was no questions later on. The on line payment system was wonderful. We were able to stay current even living hundreds of miles away from our stuff. Upon move out we had some hiccups with lost keys and a not so friendly moving company, but Stephanie was patient with our numerous phone calls and questions. Upon final move out she was so great about pro-rating our five days, just like she had explained at the sign-up. I highly recommend this StorAmerica location if for no other reason than getting to deal with Stephanie.

Question: what do we pay for if it says in the contract that the storage unit company isn't liable for anything literally anything. Their not liable if someone breaks in. Their not liable if there is a fire. And their not liable for rat infestation. So essentially were paying them for literally a 12x12 sq ft piece of land with for walls and hope. Of course these contracts are pretty relative to any storage company not just direct. I admit I'm ranting but ultimately its disappointing that I can't hold anyone accountable for finding rat droppings all over my belongings. Update: management rectified the situation and refunded us a portion of our rent. I upgraded my rating from 2 to 4 given the situation. Not a five star because regardless there was rat droppings in our unit that ruined our furniture.
