Strawberry Yogurt
Sunday W.

The food is very good! No hate whatsoever to the food. I did, however, have a very unpleasant experience. I ordered a strawberry yogurt drink outside of my usual order, and I was very excited to try it. I ordered it with peach boba. When I received it, it had crystal and peach boba. When I asked if it could be remade, they told me I would have to order it again. When I asked why, they pointed to the menu and said that crystal comes in all fruit yogurt drinks regardless if I picked another boba type. This was really confusing to me especially after I pointed out that this is no where to be found on the kiosk. I was told to pick "no bubble," but, to me, this implies that there will be no topping present at all. Please be more vigilant moving forward because they do not care!

Popcorn Chicken w/ Thai Chili Sauce
Nathan N.

Popcorn chicken was bland. They offer the choice between salt n pepper or thai chili sauce - pick salt n pepper. I picked thai chili sauce and they just make it plain and give you a cup of sauce. Why not just add salt n pepper by default and then give some sauce options? Salt n pepper cannot be hurting their bottom line that much!

There was a gnat in my box :(

We ordered take out from here the other night via Doordash. We both got the 10pc pork dumplings. The food arrived hot and steamy. Unfortunately, my box had a gnat inside. My partner really enjoyed the food though! ---- Decided to give them another go bc my partner was raving about how good the dumplings were. I did pickup this go, and the food was ready when I arrived. Cashier was friendly and prompt. Tried the ramen, chai tea and the dumpling sampler (chicken, pork, shrimp & chive). Chai tea was nice and sweet. The ramen broth and the pork in it had good flavor. I selected spicy and I saw the pepper flakes in the broth but it barely had a kick at all. The egg sucked - WAY over cooked and not marinated like a ramen egg typically is. Just bland and dry. More meat would've been nice too. The pork and chicken dumplings were nice, but I would not get the shrimp & chive again. TOO much chive, way too little shrimp.

Pork Dumplings and edamame

The pork dumplings were delicious with just the right balance between meat and dough. The mango mojito was the perfect t refresher in a scorching summer day. Service was friendly and efficient. Loved getting the full street vibe through the large garage door street front.

High hopes unrealized... sigh! I really had hopes that Got Dumplings would be a 'close to home' kind of spot, but I can't say I was really impressed. Stopped by at lunchtime on a Friday and business was pretty slow. I stepped into the shop and a girl who was making drinks took about 5 min. before she even acknowledged me (side note: this same young lady with long hair not tied back and continually pulling her sweatshirt up - health code issues?). Anyways, once she got around to helping, I ordered the sampler with fried rice and edamame, along with the lime/orange green tea drink. The order took about 10 minutes to make, and took her about 8 minutes to make the drink (I wondered what happens when they get busy and the drink person taking so long to make one drink - boggles the mind). Took my goodies home with much excitement. After a couple of pics I dug in. The drink was pulpy (lime and orange pieces mashed and left in drink) - I ended up straining it into another glass, but it still had a flowery flavor that did not come from the tea (not pleasant). I did not finish the tea. Onto the meal. I got pork, shrimp/chive, and curry chix dumplings. I was given no options when I ordered ("Hey, would you like those dumplings steamed or fried hard like a rock?"), so fried they were. The dumplings were not light and flavorful like I've had before. These were dense, hearty, and heavy. The pork ones did not get finished, shrimp(?) and chive were OK, and the chicken curry was good but again very dense. The fried rice was the best part of the meal; flavorful and soft, my only complaint is that it was mainly rice with not many morsels of yumminess added in. If I had to make a suggestion to the owners, it would be to get someone up front that is interested in interacting with the customers and moves a little faster than the DMV worker in Zootopia. So much potential is lost when the front-line workers don't communicate well. I might be back, but this spot definitely won't be near the top of my 'go-to' list.

Sample Dumpling, coffee boba, passion fruit boba
Jessica T.

For what you get, it's definitely overpriced. It's a good one time snack stop but the dumplings felt like refried frozen dumplings that you could buy for cheaper at a grocery store. The boba was good though but definitely pricier that the other surrounding stores. The boba bubbles have a soft texture and the tea isn't overwhelmingly sweet so that was a plus.

Dumpling sampler and peanut noodles for a reasonable price! Wish we had one near home as it would be on my carry out rotation for sure!

We got: Cumin lamb Pork and truffle x 2 Lemongrass chicken QuesaBirria (with the jus) x 2 Plated meals: Hot numbing Calamari (it was not spicy) Pork belly bao Out of all this, I loved the Pork Belly Bao and the QuesaBirria the most. Enjoyed every bite. The negatives are there is no parking so you either pay for parking or get lucky scoring a coveted street one. Also the neighborhood is a typical city one, not the high rent district. Also the restrooms are located u These overruled the food though. Sunday Brunch is all the dumplings you want for $25.

Each had its own unique flavor and layers of spice. The food came out very hot. While we ordered a lot and shared everything, it was easy to tell that all of the ingredients are fresh, and nothing is made in an unsavory way, because even after having an amazing meal, my dinner partner, and I did not feel heavy or bloated like we typically might have after eating such delicious, rich, flavorful food. Our server made some great recommendations on sake, and for the most part was pretty attentive. The only major complaints I have are that I was not aware of the upstairs was open for seating, and when I made my request for the reservation on open table, I specifically stated that this was a date night and I was hoping for a quiet seating area. Next time I will definitely know to ask for upstairs. When we came and it was restaurant week. There were some great items on the restaurant week menu, but we were informed we were not able to order individual items off of that menu and that if we did want anything off of that menu, we would have to order all of the courses that were available. Overall, this was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely wonderful, and it's certainly somewhere that we will consider coming back to when we have our next craving for delicious dim sum.

Walking in, it was completely empty, no customers. By the time I left, several tables were sat and they had a steady stream of carry-out/delivery pickups. The service was very spotty, as they only had two people working the dining room and so many people went without someone checking them in, I waited about 15 mins for my check and those delivery drivers formed a line waiting for their pickups. I tried their spicy cucumber salad and their three pepper beef, but I sub'd out the beef for chicken instead. The cucumbers were decent, they had a nice spice to them and the vegetable itself was fresh. The three pepper chicken came out on a sizzling platter (a fajita platter with aluminum foil on it) and looked pretty good. My first few bites had the great flavor of wok hei, which I love! But I quickly noticed there was no other flavor other than some sort of pickled pepper flavor, which is very odd in Chinese food. The chicken texture was great, but the entire dish was swimming in vegetal oil, it wasn't dry spiced and wok'd. Overall, this visit was only slightly better than the first, only because they were open this time. But I most definitely wouldn't return. And it's not dumbed down American Chinese at all. My husband and I both work from home so we get to go have lunch at area restaurants from time to time. We have our regular places and we order Peter Chang's for takeout sometimes, but when we were deciding where to eat and knowing we were short on time, I suggested Peter Chang. For our meal we ordered dumplings, which were amazing. The dipping sauce was to die for...I need to research it and try to make it. We also got the scallion pancake, which came with a curry dipping sauce. Also very good. For lunch there is a menu that is typical of Chinese restaurants where you get a choice of soup (I chose hot and sour) and rice (I chose white rice). For my main I selected hot and numbing chicken from the lunch menu. My husband got three pepper steak. We also got jasmine tea, although if you prefer an adult beverage they have a bar. The food was excellent, service was attentive but not overbearing. It was a great meal and we both have lots of leftovers. The restaurant can be a bit noisy because it's just a big open room, but it's okay. The table next to use was loud talkers with no inside voice, so I got to hear all about their trip to Charlottesville for a concert. Sounds like they had a good time. I wish people were more self-aware about the volume of their voices in public but maybe his ears were wrecked from the concert. P.S. Peter Chang was the chef to a Chinese dignitary like an ambassador so he's the real deal.

It had too much soy sauce and you couldn't taste anything else. The white rice was dry and undercooked. I feel like this is an utter travesty. I was at least expecting good rice. The golden mountain had great flavor but I think it was a mistake to eat it at home. It was mushy by the time we ate it. You can taste the spite in general Tso's chicken. It's like they don't want you to order it. The flavor is just sweet without any complexity. I've had better flavored general Tso sauce from grocery store brands. It was also mushy by the time we ate it. I would never order this again from them.

We decided to start off with the Japanese fried squid on a stick. They were baby squid I had to ask thinking it was a full size squid. For the roles my husband chose the Playboy and I chose the Coco Mango which we both split. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried squid on a stick It was nice and crisp on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. It comes with three in the appetizer so if there's two of you just split the 3rd. When our roles came out they Showed great presentation. I was nervous with the fish on top of the Playboy role because I'm not used to eating that type of sushi and I think it has to do with texture. I don't know what I was so afraid of because it was the most tender piece of fish and melted in my mouth. Out of the two roles the Playboy was my favorite one the fish on top was soft, All of the flavors were Prominent and you didn't feel like it was getting lost. I'm sure we could have ordered a third roll but it was getting close to their closing time at 2:00. I ordered a hot green tea and it came out with its own teapot which I absolutely loved. I'm just upset with myself that it took me forever to get here.
