1 out of 5 stars (for office staff -- 5 stars for Dr. Schultzel)…read more I had gallbladder surgery with Dr. Schultzel in September 2025. He was excellent -- kind, thorough, and professional. Unfortunately, my post-surgery experience has been made extremely stressful due to the office staff and management. When my EDD paperwork was first submitted, the staff only gave me two weeks off work, even though the doctor clearly stated I needed six weeks due to lifting restrictions. After multiple calls, I finally spoke with Julie, who was rude, argumentative, and dismissive. She even said sarcastically, "Fine, I'll give you six weeks off," which is completely unprofessional. I later spoke with Emily, the office manager, who apologized, but Julie's poor attitude continued. Despite Emily's assurance that she would personally handle any future issues, she never returned my follow-up calls. Since then, communication has been inconsistent. Some emails were answered, but usually with short, unhelpful replies, and many others went unanswered altogether. Each visit I've made to the office has been met with cold or dismissive attitudes. Even when my doctor extended my recovery another two weeks, Emily questioned it inappropriately in front of other staff. I've had to show up in person multiple times just to get updates, only to be brushed off again. The doctor and PAs are wonderful, but the back office is disorganized, unprofessional, and lacking empathy. I've felt ignored and unsupported -- especially regarding time-sensitive EDD paperwork that directly impacts my income. It's unfortunate because Dr. Schultzel deserves better representation from his staff. Patients shouldn't have to fight this hard for basic communication and follow-up care. Edit: I split the difference and gave 3 stars. I have no issue with Dr Schultzel. It's sad I had to place a review to actually have someone try to call me or respond to the issues at hand.

This time, we were forced to find one around Temecula because of our insurance so we searched on Yelp and saw that Doctor Uhler had really HIGH RATINGS! They are all nice and beautiful folks. Cameron was a sweet heart who checked our blood pressure... DOCTOR UHLER: 10/10 He came in and just sat down with me and my husband. He really took his time to TALK and get to know us. We didn't feel rushed like most other offices we've been to. I remember spending about 5-15 minutes speaking with other doctors. I mean I understand doctors are busy but, doctor uhler spared at least 45 minutes of his time for us. We both have back problems so we were speaking to the right person. He gave us some referrals for physical therapy, requests for lab work and colonoscopy for my husband... What a GREAT FIND! He was also professionally working with Olympic Champions!! Doctor Uhler is patient, empathic and humble... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Uhler

I finally called her insurance myself, and they told me that they have NEVER received an authorization request from this office. So we've been waiting for months for absolutely nothing to happen. I have called the office multiple times and every single time I'm just directed to the insurance person Elissa. The problem is that she NEVER answers. I have called almost every morning and afternoon, left multiple voicemails, and I have yet to receive a single call back from her. Every time I call I'm told she's "out of the office" and to leave her a voicemail. I have even gone into the office IN PERSON trying to get some kind of answer. She stays in her office and has the ladies at the front tell me to wait for her, but somehow always has an excuse. At this point, it honestly feels like I'm being avoided. What makes it even more frustrating is that it sounds like my aunt is not the only patient having this issue. If you are responsible for handling authorizations, you should actually be available to communicate with patients and, more importantly, MAKE SURE THE AUTHORIZATION IS EVEN SENT TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I understand that insurance can take time, but waiting four months only to find out that the authorization was never even submitted is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to repeatedly call, leave voicemails, and physically show up just to get someone to do their job. Very disappointed and extremely frustrated with the lack of communication and accountability from her.

We saw Ari Arroyo, who was fantastic at discharge we were told to follow up with a CT scan and an appointment within two weeks of discharge. I called them upon discharge and was told that I can't make it a follow up appointment until we had the CT scan. You cannot get to a live person. You have to leave a message with their AI assistant who will text you back. That was issue number one for us, and we could not understand why we could not make an appointment. While we did get the CT scan requisition, and scheduled it, I let them know the date of the CT scan and they still would not schedule anything until after the CT scan. We had the CT scan, I texted, called, emailed them to tell them that the CT scan was done and we wanted to make an appointment. We didn't hear anything for five days and I contacted them multiple times. Again you cannot get to a live person. You have to leave a message. And to top it off, they take a two hour lunch every day. I contacted our insurance company, who was completely unhappy with this situation and have referred this practice to their QA department for review. Our insurance agent called the number - there is an option for doctors or insurance companies referral. The first day she was on hold with them for 30 minutes the second day for over 90 mins, and trust me when I say they were not happy at all. Our insurance agent was able to get us an appointment with the Loma Linda neurosurgery team within one week. We had an excellent experience saw them at the Murrieta office, and we were seen very quickly by the neurosurgeon and have a great follow up plan. The doctors may be fantastic at this practice, we will never know but their policies of making appointments and getting callbacks is completely unacceptable especially for patients who have neurosurgical conditions. Go elsewhere, as mentioned Loma Linda was fantastic.

What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me.

I just got home from my first visit to Dr. Jou's office and I have never felt so compelled to write…read morea review and post it ASAP. Yesterday, I called Dr. Jou's office and, unlike the other three endocrinologist offices I called, his front office was extremely warm and welcoming over the phone. I felt it was a great start, but contained my enthusiasm for the time being because I have been disappointed down the road so many times before. Fast forward to today's appointment and the front office staff was just as friendly and accommodating in person. They respected the appointment time and got me back to a room not a minute later than scheduled. The nurse who started off my visit couldn't have been kinder and she even checked in with me while Dr. Jou was finishing up with another patient. When Dr. Jou entered the room, I immediately got great vibes from him and noticed his way of letting the patient talk and truly listening to what is being said. He allowed me to fully express how I was feeling, symptoms I've noticed, and never cut me off. He also entered everything I was telling him directly into his tablet. He was thorough in explaining my test results, options for treatment, and timelines. He did not rush anything and had back up plans for every scenario that were clearly well thought out. I honestly don't think I can say that I've ever visited a doctor who I walked out of their office without the regret of not having been given the opportunity to say something about my situation until now. Even on the 45 minute drive back home from his office, I couldn't think of anything that he didn't cover or allow me the time and opportunity to explain or ask. To add a shred of credibility to my words, I would like to say that my father is a (recently retired) cardiologist who had his own practice in North Hollywood. I spent countless hours with him there from the age of 5 years old through my late teens. Therefore, I know a bit about how difficult it can be to ensure your front office staff, the doctor, and the rest of the overall patient experience are all simultaneously performing at an optimal level. Somehow, Dr. Jou's office pulls off that seemingly impossible feat beautifully. In closing, health struggles can be very scary and stranger, friend, or family, I don't want anybody to ever have a poor experience with a medical office during such a vulnerable and stressful time in their life. Therefore, I sincerely hope that you strongly consider choosing Dr. Jou as your first option if you are in need of an endocrinologist. Wishing you the best of health and the best of life.
