My mom had her wedding veil heirloomed here in 2021 from 1989 that was handmade. We just opened the box since I want to use it for my wedding next year a this "business" cut off all the hand done beading and lace. Nothing is left and the veil is RUNIED. Highly suggest others check their boxes, especially if you are planning on passing it down like my mother was. We are VERY DISAPPOINTED and very upset by this. I was going to wear it at my wedding. DO NOT USE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Took a brand new silk blouse (375.00) to be dry cleaned that I had worn one time, it was in pristine condition. It came back with a little green tag attached for special attention to "spots" and "stains" it was returned to me with 2 black marks on the blouse. Gorman's is my go to dry cleaners whenever I need something done right and damn the cost. I am only capable of sharing my own experiences with Gorman's Cleaners. Gorman's is extremely expensive and slow unless something must be done right away and I am willing to overpay for the privilege of rapid service. Example: Gorman's pressed two already clean cotton shirts for me in two hours for $24 including taxes today. A delivery service is available to regular customers which I do not choose to utilize. They have been very good at removing stains for me whenever I point out my stains out at the counter. My things go to Gorman's when other cleaners fail sadly, they charge more than I am comfortable paying. Which is why I do not bring all of my cleaning to Gorman's ever week. I have used this vender for 20+ years and recently the service has deteriorated to the point that I had to leave. They changed pickup/delivery dates without notice. Sometimes not picking up at all, and the response is just wait a week. That means they have two week of laundry for a whole week. Unacceptable! When I tried to take clothes that were not picked up, they were closed, they close M-F at 3:00. Clearly a soccer mom laundry. I believe the family must have sold, because they ran it well for several generations. Oh well, there are other cleaners that deliver. read more

I brought my husband's shirt to Gorman's to get cleaned because it had a grease stain and my husband thinks that they are the best at getting them out. This was back in the beginning of March. I went back a week later to be told it wasn't back yet. I went back the next 2 weeks to be told that it still wasn't back yet. Then the 4th time I went back, I was told that a manager would call me. No manager call for a week. Went back last week to find out that the shirt had been ruined by them. A manager called me yesterday and asked me how old was the shirt because the collar and cuffs were frayed. I said about 2 years. Then he said they could send it off to be age tested and if it was older than 2 years, I would have to pay the $35 for the test. If it's older than 2 years , Gorman's feels like they are not responsible for the damage. REALLY?? I can not believe this is how they treat their customers!! I am in the consumer business and their customer service is non existent! I will never use them again and I encourage others to think twice before they use Gorman's! read more

Luckily had $45.00 in my armrest. The total came to $54.00 (for 3 pieces). I asked if they would accept the $45.00 cash in good faith. They refused. I can't even give the 1 star after a phone conversation with Naomi there but must do so in order to post this. I dropped off my daughter's wedding dress a while back to have cleaned and heirloomed. I called and gave them a verbal approval to clean the dress after a voicemail was left with the quote of $546. Yesterday, I called to give them my credit card number for the deposit. I asked if that included the heirlooming and was told no that I never asked for that. The heirlooming was not included and was an additional $165; when I told her that I would just come get the dress. She told me I had already paid the deposit so I asked for a refund and was immediately told they don't give refunds and she would not do so. After telling her that we would get our attorney involved I was then told to come get the dress and she would issue a refund. Today I go to get the dress and she told me she didn't say that and that she told me they had to have the card to refund the money. Not only did the story change but an employee walked up and started making comments about the situation. I asked who he was and he said he was just an employee, not a manager. Their customer service is poor. I know they've been around for years and are well known but that is NO excuse to treat someone that way. I had them clean my oldest daughter's wedding dress several years ago and had no issues but I wish I would have read the reviews before I went this time! read more

Worst dry cleaning experience ever! Sure wish I had read all of the other negative reviews before I went there because they were accurate - they rip you off by not disclosing the prices and then charge you an exorbitant amount. In my case they charged $86 to dry clean a long dress. When I expressed my shock at the outrageously high price, the manager offered to discount it by 10%, but then when I said okay but I'd never be back, he promptly said no discount and took my dress back. Then I complained about that bait and switch behavior, and he said he wouldn't charge me at all - and then again retracted it and took my dress out of my hands. I finally had to pay $68 to get my dress back. Don't do business with Gorman's!!! They are rude and extremely overpriced. read more

I had been using Gorman's for over 20 years. So a few months ago, I was delivered someone else's clothes from their delivery service Gormans provides. I reported it via phone, and no response from management. Then, I was delivered someone else's clothes again. Same thing--report and no response. Then, my neighbor brought me my clothes which were delivered erroneously to them! Reported it and no response. Have since left them; that was the last straw! No apologies, no credits offered, no special care offered. Over the years, it feels as if top management doesn't want to get involved and just takes the business for granted. The mid-level supervision seems poor too. Used to be a great operation. read more

I took my Nina Mclemore jacket to Gorman's to have a stain removed and the jacket dry cleaned. The young woman at the desk understood that I was very nervous about having an expensive jacket dry cleaned. She wrote down what the stain was, and that I wanted them to be sure to press the collar on the jacket up. She also told me that she would show the jacket to the woman who does their pressing so that she would recognize it after it was cleaned. This place is known to charge you based on the name brand label of your cloths. They have given me other clients clothes and I have been nice enough to return them and bring them to the staff attention. Now that they have lost my son suit they refer me to Randy. Their Christening boxes are poor quality and they charge over $100 per box. They were not sealed when I picked them up. That was not a problem. However when they went to the back to have them sealed and brought them back to me, I was stunned to see that an employee ran clear tape around the box. That is their "professional" sealing technique. The manager did not come out and personally speak with me. I was told that they had to order the box for me, it's been sealed and they were sorry. So disappointed with Gorman's current way of doing business. They used to be the go to cleaners. Not anymore. No customer service, do not deliver or show up when they say they will, do not do what they say they will do, the lies and delays. The list goes on, they ruined countless items, many items went "missing", received other people's cleaning and clothing. The list goes on. Customer service is nonexistent. Apparently when they ruin something and make restitution they either a. send it to corporate, b. the owner takes home what she likes, or c. donate it to Goodwill - received those three excuses for one ruined item. Would love to know which Goodwill they take their "ruined" and "unclaimed"/"lost" items to - maybe some of my missing cleaning ended up there? read more
