Communication with me asking if I'm showing up so I know the quote he quoted me was repeated to him multiple times via phone call.

Shabana I.

I called this guy last week and he gave me a quote of 120 and then when I came to fix the phone he changed his price to 140. Wasted my time. I would definitely avoid a place like this he's a Scam and can't even hold his end of the deal. It's about the $20 is the principle He informed me 120, I actually drove down there and for him to not honor it shows what kind of person I would have to deal with if the phone afterward has issues. I recommend sycamore phone repaint it' was 10$ more but his service is excellent. The owner messaged me after I posted the review. telling me my character was out of pocket because I wrote a honest review about his business. I don't have any other phones. would have to be very stupid to show up with a different phone despite of a quote for a different phone. it just shows that he just needs an excuse. It's the month of Ramadan so I don't know why I would lie about some thing so silly. I called for an iPhone promax and he quoted me for an iPhone promax his words"" which screen would you prefer, there are two types of screens and I told him I prefer the cheapest one since this phone has been broken multiple times in the past so there's no point of me paying for some thing that would be expensive because I know it will get broken again, he then responded back saying that OK then 120 instead of 180 since you don't care for the quality of the screen and I said OK perfect and I said is that including taxes or if you pay cash it's 120 if you don't pay cash then there will be tax"". I don't understand business owners it's like they wanna be sneaky but then they get pissed off when customers leave and decide to voice their opinion. This business owner even messaged me after asking me if I was showing up and I had told him I will show up tomorrow attached are photos

I accidentally dropped my work iPad face down on some large rocks during my shift. Glass was everywhere and I desperately needed a fix within the next shift. Other places told me it would take at least a whole day for me to receive it back. Gorilla Fix did it within a few hours! This is actually my second time doing business with them. My first service was for my personal iPhone 5S. Their response time to your questions via phone or text messaging is quick! If I ever need service for any similar nature once again, it's worth the 30 minute drive for me!

I found Gorilla Fix via Yelp and was excited to read the great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the positivity that Gorilla Fix has received and I would like to caution other customers against using the services here, or at least gain a second opinion before giving away their hard-earned money. My phone suffered water damage from being dunked in the ocean, and I took it to Gorilla Fix to see if it was salvageable. The service I received was initially good, as the attendant said the diagnostic was complimentary and after assessing whether the components still worked, we could see how much it would cost to fix. After diagnosing the phone, he told me that the battery would need to be replaced and the screen as well since the screen had "bubbles," but luckily the phone itself was fixable. I was really happy and left the phone in his hands. Five hours later, I came back to pick up the phone and was told that the home button didn't work either, so he enabled the software home button on iPhone. I was not a fan of this method, as it was bulky and unsightly, so I asked him to replace ALL the old components back and I could take the phone elsewhere or trade it in for another phone. I would like to point out that I had received no further communication regarding the fact that the home button didn't work until I went to pick up the phone -- this is unprofessional and felt shady. The next day, I took my phone to another vendor to have it assessed and get a last opinion. This other vendor opened up the phone, and I was shocked to see that it had no battery. I had asked Gorilla Fix to replace ALL the old components back and I had been reassured that this had been done. Not only was the battery missing, but the motherboard LCD connector shield was missing as well. I contacted Gorilla Fix immediately and asked why these items were missing and why I had NOT been told that they had not been put back into the phone. The response was that the battery and motherboard LCD connector shield "were broken" and so they "had been thrown battery away." Are you kidding me? Not only had components of my phone been tossed without my consent, but I had received no communication that they were gone. Plus the motherboard LCD connector shield is just a shield -- how could it be broken just from water damage? More importantly, how come I AGAIN received NO communication or even discussion of this before my property was just tossed away? I cannot stress how unprofessional and downright rude this was. Furthermore, when the other vendor tested the screen of my phone, he said that it was perfectly fine and there were no "bubbles." And I know that it was the old screen and that it hadn't been replaced because there is a distinctive scratch on the screen that is still there. Finally, the other vendor tested the home button as well and said that it worked perfectly fine! At the end of the day, I spent a few tens of dollars to get a new battery (the other vendor was kind enough to throw in a free motherboard LCD connector shield) versus the almost $175 I would have been gypped out if I had fixed the phone at Gorilla Fix. My phone is now functioning perfectly. I have posted screenshots of my communication with Gorilla Fix to provide evidence that I was indeed a customer and that the events here actually occurred. Other potential customers, I'd caution you strongly to either get a second opinion or to avoid Gorilla Fix. I certainly will not be coming back.

I came by last minute and Mike was able to help me out! Thankful because I needed my phone for travel and he understood this. Good service and reasonable prices also **5 stars**

I was referred to Gorilla Fix for a broken screen. There are so many places that can fix a broken screen but when I am given a referral, I definitely wanted to try them out even though Gorilla Fix is 20 miles each way from my house. The kiosk is located on the second floor of Newpark Mall in front of Macy's and the Food Court. I was thinking I could go shopping while I waited to have my phone fixed. Mike helped with the broken screen and was finished in less than five minutes so I didn't need to walk around the mall and possibly make an unnecessary purchase. I am always in a rush so not having to wait and being able to get going with my day is a big plus! Mike has been doing cell phone repairs for several years and is very knowledgeable. His prices are also very competitive given he is located in the mall. I will definitely use Gorilla Fix again and would highly recommend them. read more

Michael fixed my iPhone 7 screen that was badly cracked and also replaced my battery. He did this service so fast and was very nice about everything. He gave me a free estimate for both which is a really good price. I also really like how he got back to my messages super quick and didn't make me wait a week to respond or have to see my device before giving an estimate. This man saved me so much money so I don't need to buy a new phone. There is also a warranty on the screen so if the touch pad stops working an issue like that he will take a look and fix for me. If I ever crack my device again or need a new battery will definitely be coming back! read more

Brought my wife's iPad mini to Newpark Mall in hopes I could find a vendor that specialized in screen repair. Came across Gorilla Fix. Met Mike, showed him what needed to be fixed. Wife's iPad mini was fixed in 2-3 hours time. My wife's cracked iPad screen was replaced and was in working condition. Service met my expectations. To add, service also comes with a 1 year warranty. Definitely will come back for future replacements. Mahalo, Mike of Gorilla Fix! Aloha read more

Love this place! I've gone here twice for a cracked screen (same phone. Not making a statement about the quality of their screens. I just never use my case and drop my phone...a lot ) The first time, I was helped by Michael and he was very friendly and very fast. The second time, I was helped by a different technician. He was also very easy to talk to and fast. And, as a returning customer, I got tempered glass over my new screen free of charge! read more

Be careful you don't get scammed here. I dropped my iphone and broke the screen. The guy said he could replace it for $100 and he did so in no time flat. That part was pretty cool. However, while I was at the shop, I decided to buy one of the glass screen covers to protect from future drops. Well, I dropped my phone again and saw the cracked screen and realized that the guy didn't put the screen cover on. The funny thing is, at the shop, I was watching him and he had an open box and it looked like he was applying the screen cover. It turns out, he totally scammed me. He didn't really apply the crystal screen. He just wiped the phone down like he was preparing it and put a used screen cover applicator cover on my phone and lifted it off like he had applied the crystal screen but in reality he didn't apply anything. Very sleazy scammer! I paid $30 bucks for that and my phone was left unprotected. read more

Overall excellent service and quality of work. My dog had gotten a hold of my phone about 2 months ago and chomped on the bottom left corner of my iPhone 7 which left a crack and a couple of lines. It was still fully operational. Fast forward 2 months and my screen stopped working on my flight back from vacation. This Sunday I had time so I drove to the mall and got it looked at. Mike helped me with the repair. We didn't know if it was repairable or not so he told me he would take it apart and try before he would say no or charge me. He was able to fix it, screen looks and works perfectly. Excellent service quick and fast only took 10 minutes read more

My iphone 7 was broken and it was time to replace the screen . At first i was dissatisfied because there wasn't a free screen protector included with the service. Which is normally a standard when getting a phone repair. Repair was fast and the results are satisfactory just wish they gave more personalized service and at a price point of $20 to add a screen protector thats very steep when it should come with the service! Edit: Seller went above and beyond to give me a screen protector for FREE and make sure i was a satisfied customer, HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!! read more

3 weeks ago we had a cracked screen on an iphone X now we have a brick. Gorilla Fix installed a new screen and it was faulty or installed wrong and put the phone into a boot cycle after ~1 week. For some reason they changed the screen and the earpiece because it now had gone bad (but wasn't before?). Then it worked but lost face recognition. This lasted for another week, then went into boot cycle. Now I have a brick, and bought a new phone. They claim the phone got wet between services. I wish we had kept the cracked screen and never gone here. The second star is because they are responsive and I think they tried. read more

I came to Gorilla Fix tonight to see if they could repair my iphone 6 that I spilled snapple on. Unfortunately, he was unable to fix it but the guy was super nice and did not charge me for checking it. He was however able to replace my old iphone 5 that I am using in the meantime until I can get a newer phone. Th phone had a cracked screen and he fixed it pretty quickly. It is a bit pricey at $80 bucks but he was able to give me a bit of discount for checking into yelp. However it was much cheaper than going to the Apple store! Mike is an awesome owner and has great customer service. I asked him via Yelp quote how much to get an iPad 1st generation and iPhone 6 repair would cost for new screens since they were shattered. He responded within 10-12 minutes on Yelp and we agreed on a reasonable price. I set a time that I would be there in the afternoon around 2:30-3:30pm. I came to the store with my iPad and I said I needed the iPhone as well but we backed out since we didn't really need it and it was just a backup phone. I continued with paying the cost for the iPad and he was friendly and polite and very straight forward. He said about 1.5-2 hours and he would text and or call me once finished. I shopped around the mall from 3:45-5pm when called and said it was finished, I came in and he said its all done and even gave me a protective cover for it since I didn't bring my case. Overall, get your fix done here! They are so polite and trustworthy and reliable! Thanks Mike :) read more

Prior to fixing, the owner even upsold me for a OLED screen for an additional $20 since the genuine Apple screens are OLED. After picking up my phone, the owner told me that I will have to calibrate the phone screen which can be done through the settings. I paid a total of $179. The same day, I noticed that the motion/movement while swiping on the screen was very harsh and not smooth compared to before. I also noticed that my phone battery was draining a lot faster along with the fact that the phone was heating up quickly. When I tried calibrating the screen, the phone would not allow it and gave an error message saying that it does not recognize the screen as a genuine Apple product. I searched the error code on Google and apparently it is a very well known issue. An issue that the owner never disclosed. A day or two later, my phone screen went completely black. Initially I thought that my phone was off (due to the battery draining quickly) and attempted to turn the phone on. However, I received a text message and felt the phone vibrate. A purple hue then started developing on the edges of the screen. My coworker immediately took a photo of the issue for me. Using my coworker's phone, I was able to secure an appointment with Apple the same day. After work, I went straight to Apple and told them the issue. The Apple tech ran a diagnostic test as done procedurally and even asked me "This is an aftermarket screen huh? I can tell." Apple replaced the screen, ran a diagnostic test, and everything functioned as normal again. The Apple tech also commented that Apple products are way too advanced today and gone are the days where you can buy aftermarket replacements parts. I paid Apple $350 in total to have my phone screen replaced. My mistake however, was not asking for the malfunctioning aftermarket screen back. I went back to Sycamore Tech and informed the owner of all the issues I had. I even showed him the $350 charge from Apple to prove that I was not lying or trying to game him in any way. His response? "Well yeah I mean it's never going to be as good as an actual Apple one." When asked if I can get a refund or even a partial refund, his response was, "How can I give you a refund if you don't give me back the screen?" I pleaded with the owner and explained to him that even I went back to Apple, I was not sure if I can get his exact phone screen back. The owner told me, "What kind of business would I be if I just started giving refunds to people who don't have a product to give back?" I pleaded with him again that I was not some customer who returned months later demanding a refund with no type of proof. I asked him to stand by his business and his product and again asked if. there was something he can do to remedy the situation. His response? "You should have came to me first." First mistake I had? Using Sycamore Tech. Second mistake I had? Not asking for the malfunctioning phone screen back from Apple. Third mistake I had? Coming back here thinking that the owner will right a wrong. An owner who does not stand by their product/service nor make any attempt to rectify their poor service is an owner who only cares about the money you're giving him,. Spend your money wherever and however you want to, I'm Just putting out my experience with this business so you won't make the same mistake.

they say u get what you pay for, but in this case u get much more ! after breaking my iphone 4 front ANDD back screen i did some research and searched around for the best deal to get it repaired. after going to several places i figured it was going to be a 180, almost 200 dollar fix. but then one day shopping with my sister at newpark mall we came across gorilla fix. the guy was friendly & didn't pressure me into getting the fix like usual kiosk workers do. & it was only 120 for both my front and back. this place has a good deal with quality parts and great customer service. had my phone back in my hands and as perfect as new in just 30 minutes! if such a thing was to happen ever again (knocking on wood) i would definitely return to gorilla fix. they're the best! read more

I really liked the service they provided to fix the broken screen of my iPhone - X & iPhone 8 at the same time in just 30-40 mnts. I was really surprised an super satisfied as the way they dealt the whole thing. Michael is the person who was very prompt when I asked for Quote via yelp and expressed to communicate with you over the phone directly. His quote was amazing as I checked in many places before ending up with Gorilla. The best thing I like about Michael is, he's a very nice & down to earth person. Charged you exactly what he quoted and not only that, for iPhone 8 he just threw a tempered glass after fixing the screen for which he never charged us. I'll highly recommend to visit Gorilla Fix for anything related to your phone screen. read more

I had originally called Mike at Gorilla Fix Wednesday, June 29, 2016 for a general estimate, which his price for my daughter's Ipad air broken glass repair was reasonable and competitive. The estimated 1.5 hr turn around time to replace this Ipad air glass had struck my interest! I finally dropped off the Ipad air Friday, June 22, 2016 at 1:30 PM and Mike had honored his $99.99 repair quote and he completed the replacement glass repair by 2:50 PM. When I had made my cash payment and analyzed his work, which was excellent. He had kept his timeframe, price and had delivered my daughter's Ipad air ahead of his estimated time. Great work Mike and a great example of professional character for all of the small business community to model. read more

I had recently cracked my screen and I didn't want to go through the hassle of insurance even though that's what they're there for. I was going on a trip that following weekend and needed it fixed right away. I found Gorilla fix and they fixed it within the half an hour. It was like it never happened!! The following week, I cracked the screen protector. Of course I went back to them and got that fixed right away. Once again, awesome service. Unfortunately my earpiece wasn't working properly after that. They offered to fix it for FREE!! From ordering the part AND fixing it! I will continue going back to them and I highly recommend them!! I found Gorilla Fix on Yelp this morning. I emailed the company for quote and availability. I received a quick response, and I liked the ratings and the location. I stopped in around 5pm and Chris was on duty. He was very friendly and business like. I agreed to the fix and he stated 20 minutes for the repair, and a discount for cash. I felt comfortable leaving my iPhone and returned in 17 minutes. The screen was replaced. I purchased a case, and received an additional discount. Chris was professional and business like (he's Mike's younger brother). I'll definitely recommend Gorilla Fix, and will use in the future, if needed! read more

I am all about buying quality services and products for the cheapest prices. My cracked iphone 4 desperately needed a new front screen and the guy working at the kiosk had the best price offers. I cracked my iPhone 7 severely to the point that the images were pixelated. I never backed up my data so I was in a panick that I would lose everything. I thought I was only here to rate Food establishments, but this place deserves the recognition it deserves! After i got my sugar fix from Sugar High, I asked the guy at the kiosk how much it was to repair my beloved iphone 5 screen. He had the lowest prices around after shopping for quite some time now... I have IPhone 6s, went and replaced my broken screen with new one with tempered glass for $80. When I bought they said I will have 1 year warranty of screen doesn't respond.... IT's all FAKE.
