Communication with me asking if I'm showing up so I know the quote he quoted me was repeated to him multiple times via phone call.

I called this guy last week and he gave me a quote of 120 and then when I came to fix the phone he changed his price to 140. Wasted my time. I would definitely avoid a place like this he's a Scam and can't even hold his end of the deal. It's about the $20 is the principle He informed me 120, I actually drove down there and for him to not honor it shows what kind of person I would have to deal with if the phone afterward has issues. I recommend sycamore phone repaint it' was 10$ more but his service is excellent. The owner messaged me after I posted the review. telling me my character was out of pocket because I wrote a honest review about his business. I don't have any other phones. would have to be very stupid to show up with a different phone despite of a quote for a different phone. it just shows that he just needs an excuse. It's the month of Ramadan so I don't know why I would lie about some thing so silly. I called for an iPhone promax and he quoted me for an iPhone promax his words"" which screen would you prefer, there are two types of screens and I told him I prefer the cheapest one since this phone has been broken multiple times in the past so there's no point of me paying for some thing that would be expensive because I know it will get broken again, he then responded back saying that OK then 120 instead of 180 since you don't care for the quality of the screen and I said OK perfect and I said is that including taxes or if you pay cash it's 120 if you don't pay cash then there will be tax"". I don't understand business owners it's like they wanna be sneaky but then they get pissed off when customers leave and decide to voice their opinion. This business owner even messaged me after asking me if I was showing up and I had told him I will show up tomorrow attached are photos

I accidentally dropped my work iPad face down on some large rocks during my shift. Glass was everywhere and I desperately needed a fix within the next shift. Other places told me it would take at least a whole day for me to receive it back. Gorilla Fix did it within a few hours! This is actually my second time doing business with them. My first service was for my personal iPhone 5S. Their response time to your questions via phone or text messaging is quick! If I ever need service for any similar nature once again, it's worth the 30 minute drive for me!

I found Gorilla Fix via Yelp and was excited to read the great reviews. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the positivity that Gorilla Fix has received and I would like to caution other customers against using the services here, or at least gain a second opinion before giving away their hard-earned money. My phone suffered water damage from being dunked in the ocean, and I took it to Gorilla Fix to see if it was salvageable. The service I received was initially good, as the attendant said the diagnostic was complimentary and after assessing whether the components still worked, we could see how much it would cost to fix. After diagnosing the phone, he told me that the battery would need to be replaced and the screen as well since the screen had "bubbles," but luckily the phone itself was fixable. I was really happy and left the phone in his hands. Five hours later, I came back to pick up the phone and was told that the home button didn't work either, so he enabled the software home button on iPhone. I was not a fan of this method, as it was bulky and unsightly, so I asked him to replace ALL the old components back and I could take the phone elsewhere or trade it in for another phone. I would like to point out that I had received no further communication regarding the fact that the home button didn't work until I went to pick up the phone -- this is unprofessional and felt shady. The next day, I took my phone to another vendor to have it assessed and get a last opinion. This other vendor opened up the phone, and I was shocked to see that it had no battery. I had asked Gorilla Fix to replace ALL the old components back and I had been reassured that this had been done. Not only was the battery missing, but the motherboard LCD connector shield was missing as well. I contacted Gorilla Fix immediately and asked why these items were missing and why I had NOT been told that they had not been put back into the phone. The response was that the battery and motherboard LCD connector shield "were broken" and so they "had been thrown battery away." Are you kidding me? Not only had components of my phone been tossed without my consent, but I had received no communication that they were gone. Plus the motherboard LCD connector shield is just a shield -- how could it be broken just from water damage? More importantly, how come I AGAIN received NO communication or even discussion of this before my property was just tossed away? I cannot stress how unprofessional and downright rude this was. Furthermore, when the other vendor tested the screen of my phone, he said that it was perfectly fine and there were no "bubbles." And I know that it was the old screen and that it hadn't been replaced because there is a distinctive scratch on the screen that is still there. Finally, the other vendor tested the home button as well and said that it worked perfectly fine! At the end of the day, I spent a few tens of dollars to get a new battery (the other vendor was kind enough to throw in a free motherboard LCD connector shield) versus the almost $175 I would have been gypped out if I had fixed the phone at Gorilla Fix. My phone is now functioning perfectly. I have posted screenshots of my communication with Gorilla Fix to provide evidence that I was indeed a customer and that the events here actually occurred. Other potential customers, I'd caution you strongly to either get a second opinion or to avoid Gorilla Fix. I certainly will not be coming back.

I had this place replace my iPhone 6s screen and battery. At first they seemed great and reasonably price. All was well until a day later when my phone just went black and would not restart. It was a weekend and they rant open on weekends and I can't afford to not have my phone working due to work obligations so I went to a much bigger well known store and they said the screen went bad and was of the cheapest quality. The "new" battery was far from it. It was just a newer used one. The owner refuses to warranty any of the work even though its sold with life time warranty. Whatever you do stay clear of this place. Pay the extra money and go to a reputable store like ubreakifix. read more

I brought my daughters iphone 5 in for a broken screen and Mike fixed it super quick. He was really friendly and knowledgable. Not only that, he noticed my 2 yr old was being fussy as I was waiting and he entertained him while he was working on the phone. Who does that? I looked for a few options to get my iPhone screen fixed and settled for this one because of convenience. I'm happy I did because he fixed it in 20 min. Looks like new. I came home and after a couple hours noticed a crack in the screen. I went back to him a couple days later and he replaced the screen again. Have had for a week now an no problems at all. read more

My screen was cracked and they fixed it within 20 minutes. The customer service is really good, they give a 1year warranty on the screen which I did have to use because i got a defective screen but I went back and they fixed it no problem and now my phone is as good as new! Great place read more

So here is my story: I messed up my Galaxy S5 and had to switch back to my iPhone 4. I found this place because I work in New Park mall right around the corner for Gorilla Fix. I went in one day and met Mike, who was extremely patient and willingly listened to me rant about how much I hate my iPhone 4 and offered to find a phone for me. Within only a short amount of time, he contacted me and told me he found me a phone. So here I am writing this review through the iphone5c Mike found me and I couldn't be happier. The workplace itself is really small, but nice. If you have any problems with your phone, Gorilla Fix would be a great place to go too. The pricing is reasonable and Mike and Chris are very nice. read more

Overall service was good but the part he used for the repair is a noticeable step down in quality from original. Old review: He does good work. I had broken the outer lens on my main camera. He replaced it in 20 min. Good communication over messaging and friendly service. After I went home I found that the first replacement lens was faulty, producing poor picture quality. He agreed to replace it free and the 2nd was good. I do notice slight reduction in quality in certain situations like low light or direct bright light. But much cheaper than Apple repair and it looks close enough that I am confident I can trade in for same value.

they say u get what you pay for, but in this case u get much more ! after breaking my iphone 4 front ANDD back screen i did some research and searched around for the best deal to get it repaired. after going to several places i figured it was going to be a 180, almost 200 dollar fix. but then one day shopping with my sister at newpark mall we came across gorilla fix. the guy was friendly & didn't pressure me into getting the fix like usual kiosk workers do. & it was only 120 for both my front and back. this place has a good deal with quality parts and great customer service. had my phone back in my hands and as perfect as new in just 30 minutes! if such a thing was to happen ever again (knocking on wood) i would definitely return to gorilla fix. they're the best! read more

I really liked the service they provided to fix the broken screen of my iPhone - X & iPhone 8 at the same time in just 30-40 mnts. I was really surprised an super satisfied as the way they dealt the whole thing. Michael is the person who was very prompt when I asked for Quote via yelp and expressed to communicate with you over the phone directly. His quote was amazing as I checked in many places before ending up with Gorilla. The best thing I like about Michael is, he's a very nice & down to earth person. Charged you exactly what he quoted and not only that, for iPhone 8 he just threw a tempered glass after fixing the screen for which he never charged us. I'll highly recommend to visit Gorilla Fix for anything related to your phone screen. read more

I had originally called Mike at Gorilla Fix Wednesday, June 29, 2016 for a general estimate, which his price for my daughter's Ipad air broken glass repair was reasonable and competitive. The estimated 1.5 hr turn around time to replace this Ipad air glass had struck my interest! I finally dropped off the Ipad air Friday, June 22, 2016 at 1:30 PM and Mike had honored his $99.99 repair quote and he completed the replacement glass repair by 2:50 PM. When I had made my cash payment and analyzed his work, which was excellent. He had kept his timeframe, price and had delivered my daughter's Ipad air ahead of his estimated time. Great work Mike and a great example of professional character for all of the small business community to model. read more

I had recently cracked my screen and I didn't want to go through the hassle of insurance even though that's what they're there for. I was going on a trip that following weekend and needed it fixed right away. I found Gorilla fix and they fixed it within the half an hour. It was like it never happened!! The following week, I cracked the screen protector. Of course I went back to them and got that fixed right away. Once again, awesome service. Unfortunately my earpiece wasn't working properly after that. They offered to fix it for FREE!! From ordering the part AND fixing it! I will continue going back to them and I highly recommend them!! Thank You Gorilla Fix (Chris)- My daughter just had her iPhone 5s fixed there about a month ago (btw-excellent job on the phone) and I just took my son's iPhone 5 in today because it was no longer charging. I walked up and told Chris what was wrong, he said give me 15 mins. I went looking around the mall and by the time I came back a new battery was in and it was working perfectly. like there never was a problem. Excellent job again. I cannot Thank you enough for saving us on buying new phones. You know your stuff, your quick and very reasonable. I am all about buying quality services and products for the cheapest prices. My cracked iphone 4 desperately needed a new front screen and the guy working at the kiosk had the best price offers. Before I came to this place, I did my research and found that other venues were charging too much. The dude obviously knew what he was doing because he was able to fix my phone under 30 minutes!! Simply put, his professional services and low prices are just unbeatable. Interestingly, he also repairs ipads and other various phones such as the galaxy series. I cracked my iPhone 7 severely to the point that the images were pixelated. I never backed up my data so I was in a panick that I would lose everything. (Contacts, photos, notes, passwords, text messages, etc) I found Gorilla Fix through yelp, a local business. I called to make sure they were available . I was literally in there for a total of 30 minutes and they've replaced my screen and LCD. All of my data was still there! I thought I was only here to rate Food establishments, but this place deserves the recognition it deserves! After i got my sugar fix from Sugar High, I asked the guy at the kiosk how much it was to repair my beloved iphone 5 screen. He had the lowest prices around after shopping for quite some time now... It was reasonable compared to others who were charging an arm and a leg and bad customer service. I agree with the other reviews, he didn't hassle, friendly and straight forward. Mike was straight forward, and did not hassle. This is why I am giving him a 5 star rating. I took my girlfriends iphone 4S today at 10am, right when the mall opened. Literally within 20 mins the service was finished. I sat down next to him having small conversation, and the next thing you know he was finished. He knows what hes doing and does it with great precision and good customer service too. The whole experience was smooth and will surely tell friends and family with phone issues about this place. read more

I was referred to Gorilla Fix by a co-worker when my clumsy self dropped my 1 month old iphone 6S!! I called to make an appointment, but the gentleman told me just to come at my convenience. I thought it would take a couple hours, but the process was done in less than 30 minutes.. Even when it seemed like they were busy at that time. The tech explained everything as he repaired my phone and referred me to the case shop across the way for a sturdy case. Thanks again guys!! read more

Just came back from having the battery replaced by Mike at Gorilla Fix at Newpark Mall by the Food Court. It was a walkup repair and Mike was free at the time. He didn't mind that I was watching him. because I was curious what the inside of my iPhone looked like. Mike was very efficient knowing exactly what to do. Within 5 minutes the new battery was replaced. He even made sure I knew about the battery settings. Excellent repair and I highly recommend his services. read more

Shattered my iPhone 4 screen a couple of months ago and went to many places to get it fixed. Thankfully, we walked past the Gorilla Fix kiosk in the Newpark Mall and he gave us a great deal to fix the screen, I even lost a screw that he replaced at no change. It was done in less than 20min, great service, very friendly. He even gave us a card to get a better deal at the phone case kiosk downstairs. I have IPhone 6s, went and replaced my broken screen with new one with tempered glass for $80. When I bought they said I will have 1 year warranty of screen doesn't respond.... IT's all FAKE. They use CHEAP products, my screen broke with 3 weeks feeling on carpet from 2 feet height. Unbelievable, when I checked with them at store, they were like they can't do anything. Very bad CUSTOMER service. I suggest everyone please stay away from this place. read more

Great service!!! This dude is just amazing, my phone was completely destroyed after i dropped off my balcony, it was cracked from top to bottom. So hard to see the screen once it turned on. A month before this happened the home button came off as well (iphone) he fixed that as well and is just its just a great place to go. This is a little overdue but I feel it's necessary since I've been coming here whenever I have phone issues (Cracked screen) Back when I had the iPhone 4S till now with the iPhone 7. Quick, walk ins are available is what I value the most especially with such a busy schedule. Heard this spot was the place to go when it comes to Cell phone repair. I called Mike Sunday morning when most repair shops are closed and he was able to take me in even with short notice. Came in to get my iPhone 6 earpiece fixed and the headphone jack of an iPhone 5c. It was done fairly quick and they did a really good job. They are also super polite. I highly recommend Gorilla fix, I am super satisfied with the work they did and I also got the tempered glass done since its $5 off if you have a repair done with them. Great customer service! Even if i had to cancel my repair and Mike had to return the parts, he was very understanding and cooperative. Mike didn't even charge me for anything and was very professional. I felt really bad i cancelled but he assured me that it was okay.
