The first time I brought my car to get serviced, i thought well what professional service and a cool business. However, over the years Ive come to to find out that not just from my experience, but from other dis-satisified customers that time and time again people have been getting ripped off that were long time customers such as myself. Our car broke down on the hwy and we live clear across the country. With our dire situation and time crunch. They told our vehicle last minute after our tow and ordered the parts and alternator that night. I can not believe the care and compassion of our situation. Be warned AVOID THIS SHOP I had my car repaired here and had to return multiple times for other issues with in a short period of time. This place should be AVOIDED based on a couple of factors. The fact that my car needed another repair within a week after receiving service here on multiple occasions is one. Second, if your a really good mechanic shop then you would not just repair an issue that was presented to you; you would identify other potential issues before they get to be a problem. So the customer can choose to get those repaired as well. Third the new mechanic shop PEP BOYS harshly criticized the work this shop did. All in all avoid this shop. There maybe litigation pending based on further inspection of the other mechanic shop. I will as be going to the governing body that control their license as well as the BBB ( Better Business Bureau). read more

I just had to take the time to say thank you to the owner and employees at Gordon & Son. We live out of town and were traveling to visit family when our car became disabled. This shop seemed to be the closest, so we had it towed over and hopped a ride with the tow truck. The owner was very accommodating, realizing how stressful it can be to break down far away from home. After a timely assessment, he let us know that it would take a few days to repair because parts had to be ordered. Then he helped us find a rental car company near by. During the few days the car was at the shop, we got calls updating us on time and costs ( which were extremely fair). We picked up our car today and we are very satisfied customers. It's so nice to deal with a car repair shop that is courteous and efficient. read more

Brought my car to this guy cuz my front left ball joint popped out he calls me tells me my car is overheating and that I need a new fan now this is over the phone so when I get there and I asked him how can it be fixed he said he can only get the fan from Mercedes okay so I said. Then I asked him can I get a copy of the receipt of the fan from Mercedes then he starts yelling no no that's my receipt you won't get a copy of my receipt I give you a copy from the store stating I place the fan in your car he goes so then I asked for him to call me when the so called fan arrives so i can see it .Then he goes off well yeah you can see the Mercedes box that the fan comes in. So then right after that I knew something was fishy so I said okay I want to be there when you install is fan he goes ok no problem. So now the next day I'm down there sitting in the office he points to the Mercedes box it says see there's your fair there I said okay I can't wait. Let's do you know 6 hours later he comes to tell me that this is the first time this ever happened to him that the fan don't work he said he's going to refund me the money give me my give me the new fan that doesn't work in my old fan back. When does such an established company like Mercedes we see you at an auto part that doesn't work and that you don't even bother to ask for refund or another fan. I've been going here for inspections and oil changes on my car. They are so thorough it's scary..lol. They don't just do an oil change and send you on your way....they check EVERYTHING. Which is a very good thing because you never know what's wrong with your vehicle. The owner goes out of his way to find parts for your vehicle...body matter the make and model. Best to go early because they get full quick...however all 3 lifts are operational so your car may be done before the expected time. The prices are reason able as well. Our car had a problem of the belt parkway and was towed here. Arnie was very helpful and gave us many recommendations on what to do going forward--he was thorough, professional and honest. We had a problem with the tow company (they were unethical and lied about their pricing). I expressed my disappointment that the tow company would behave so shamefully during a pandemic. No way to treat fellow New Yorkers. When we picked up our car, Arnie placed a bag filled with toilet paper, gloves, masks and hand sanitizer in our car with the note, "From one New Yorker to another." What a class act. Please!!! Please!! Do not take your car to this shop. I returned three times to get the problem fixed and each time more money. What was first a water pimp repair, turned into a nightmare. I have been coming here for years and I have to say that not only is the service excellent but Arnie is one of the nicest and most honest and reliable merchants I personally have ever met. Many people in the waiting area have expressed the same sentiment over the years. I have come to consider Arnie a friend as many others have. It's sad I went against the reviews on here thinking it was isolated situations. Although the owner may be well spoke and seem professional he creates more issues for your Vehicle. Ended up putting the wrong oil in my car and told me to come back after I caught him in the lie. Why would I take my car back after you were dishonest. Now the check engine light is on and resulted in me changing sensors and other parts due to wrong oil. He told me oil wouldn't make a difference to the car. If that was the case why would they have different options of oil? That's like saying the type of gas wouldn't make a difference. Please please do yourself a favor and stay away from this mechanic shop. read more

I would not take my car to this place... I have gone there few times over the last few years. However in the last couple years their service and customer service has just gotten worse and worse. The last time I went, not too long ago, I actually left with more problems than I went with. A simple maintenance work that should have cost about $200 turned into $500. When you go there, there is one particular mechanic that breaks things on your car that will leave you with a huge bill. read more

Brought my car here since my other mechanic wasnt doing a good job. The customer service here is good. They even ask if you need a ride when they need to work on your car. So far every thing they fix (so far suspension repairs and water pump) have never been an issue after. They give very fair prices and they are straight to the point on what the car needs. They even go the extra mile to fix a loose bolt or hose here and there when they are doing repairs. I highly recommend taking your car here if you need some serious or moderate work done on it. read more

Pricing is reasonably fair, you will never feel you were duped as you are being told in advance what to expect.
