The doctors were very personable, and took their time to diagnose my problems. However, when the proposed treatment plan was presented, I was told I was expected to pay upfront for the entire treatment plan. In my case, $4,500! This charge was despite my insurance (double coverage) being able and willing to pay 80%, with me being responsible to pay 20%. I was fine with paying my portion, but apparently this was an unacceptable plan for these doctors. Dr. Hernandez mentioned that she did not think my insurance would cover the proposed treatments. In order to reassure their payment, I researched all medical codes involved (provided by Dr. Hernandez) in my treatment plan with my insurance company, and had a representative from my insurance company call to verify my coverage. It should be noted, the insurance company's first attempt to contact them was apparently missed. In regards to the second attempt, the insurance representative reassured me that a message was left. The insurance company also informed them on how the doctors should issue the billing in order to ensure their payment. I performed this added step in order assist them, as they do not have a designated Biller to handle their billing and coding for procedures. Despite multiple (5+) calls from myself and the insurance company, both leaving messages and speaking to their front desk personnel to coordinate the scheduling of my treatment plan. I was told by the front desk personnel my messages would be delivered to the doctor, and they would contact me. They never returned any calls or otherwise communicated with me. I am uncertain for their disassociation with me, but it appears that anything less than 100% upfront payment is considered unacceptable.

I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours via a referral from my primary dentist. The office space is clean and well decorated. Dr. Thayer explained the procedure - what was going to happen, level of pain, follow-up (if needed), and how long it should take. They try to make you as comfortable as possible, and provide TV with headphones to help with distractions from the sound of the dental instruments. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a trip planned that would have been a disaster if I had to cancel and the staff made it happen in 2 days. I was seen and the procedure was explained by Dr Thayer. During the procedure he checked in and let me know what was going on as well. Dr Thayer called me later on in the evening on my cell phone to check on how I was feeling. He asked my pain level and told me to follow up with him on his cell phone if I wasn't better in a couple of days. Now I have seen the same dentist for over 20 years and never received a call from them after any procedure to check on my wellbeing. I am overly impressed and I will always recommend this Dr. we always remember the negative experiences but we don't always highlight the positive. After I went by his office to schedule the appointment, Dr. Pugliese personally called me to pick a day and time that was convenient for me, and he saw me within a week. On the day of the appointment, as I entered his private office, it looked just as I'd imagined a mental health professional's office would look. Very refined and relaxing. We met for quite a while as he acquired my personal information. He was very calming and relaxing. He genuinely seemed interested in me, even though I was not there for mental health counseling. When I next went into a private office to take a rather detailed standardized mental health evaluation, his staff made sure i was comfortable. I couldn't be more pleased with his manner and professionalism. I hope I never need professional counseling, but if I do, I'll definitely call upon Dr. Pugliese.
