Not once have I ever had a less the wonderful experience. Management is SPOT on with customer service and polite friendly sales people as well as the folks working in the garage. I want to mention the folks who I come in contact with recently who are excellent. Augustine, Esteban, Nicholas, Keith and others, just cannot remember their names. Augustine remembers me by name each time I'm there which is maybe 2-3 times a year for balance/rotation even if he is not working with me. All gems. Alan in the garage is just as great and always says hello even if not working on our vehicles. Keep up the outstanding work you all do for us on a daily basis.

After inspecting the car, the technician told me they would only repair the leak in my rear tire if I purchased two new front tires. I explained that the car had recently been having emissions issues and that I didn't want to invest in new tires until it passed inspection, because I may trade the vehicle in if the emissions problem can't be resolved. The technician then told me my front tires were "dangerously bald" and said I shouldn't worry about the inspection because he knew a place that would pass the car for $50. Obviously, I told him I had absolutely no interest in a back-door inspection. Long story short, they refused to service the leaking tire that I had recently purchased from Discount Tire. What really bothered me was that they didn't even put air in it before sending me back onto the road. I arrived because of a low-pressure warning and left with the tire still at 23 PSI--after being told their concern was supposedly my safety. I've purchased more than 20 sets of tires from Discount Tire over the years and have typically received very good service, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Save yourself the hassle with this location and make the drive to the Conroe or Houston location instead. My experiences with Discount Tire have generally been good, but this particular visit was unacceptable.

I had already taken it somewhere else and they put in an OEM replacement sensor that I bought online myself for them to install, and the light STILL stayed on. It was really frustrating. So I came to Rayford Tire Shop originally because I had a nail in one of my back tires that was way too big to patch. I figured I'd need both rear tires done. The owner looks at it and goes "nah man you really only need the one." Like who actually does that instead of just taking your money? I was about to just get the one done but then he shows me the other tire is cupping really bad. I checked it out myself and yeah he was right, it was pretty obvious once I looked. So I'm like alright let's do both then. He brings out two used tires that are in really good shape, almost new, and they're actually a better brand than what I originally had on there. Then we get to the TPMS issue. The owner figures out in maybe 10 minutes that the sensor my computer was saying was bad wasn't even the actual broken one, AND it was mismatched in the system somehow. He had the right sensor, installed it, then spent close to an hour on the phone with a technician going through the TPMS relearn to get it reset properly. No one else could figure this out but he stuck with it until it worked. Now my light's actually off. He also told me I need a rear alignment but they don't do alignments there. Instead of just leaving it at that he told me exactly where to go and made sure to specify just the rear wheels, not all four, so I'm not wasting money on what I don't need. Prices were solid. Just honest work from an honest shop. I'll be back for sure.

There are two firestones for the woodlands part of I45, the one up by the Walmart on the southbound frontage road, and this one just north of the Raeford Road exit on the northbound frontage road. This is the northbound one. That does put it on the "other side of the tracks" -- the Shenandoah rather than the Woodlands side of the freeway. Undoubtedly, this is a more working-class neighborhood--Mexican meat market, a tattoo place, and a Mexican restaurant share the strip mall. But the crew is better. The people are better than the Woodlands location. The place is run by an African American gentleman who probably opened the place--seems to have been there forever, and his crew are all experienced mechanics. He went above and beyond calling other firestones to track down my truck's lifetime alignment, suggested the coupons for discounts and they really did me right on the tires, mounting and balancing, and alignment--I watched them through the big plate glass windows. These aren't high school kids, they are 20-year-old men. That says something about the manager and the culture. I have never had a better experience at a Firestone, and now I cross the tracks every time to use these guys.
