We utilize Discount Tire for all our tire needs. This particular location is convenient for us. The service is also exceptional. Earlier in the week I called and made an appointment for rotate & balance. I arrived early and within minutes of parking, a service technician (Angel) came out to greet me and check me in. He conducted an inspection and informed me of the approximate wait time. The lobby waiting area is bigger and comfortable while you wait. They do have complimentary water for customers. They tracked down BMW run flats at a sister store and had them delivered within a couple of hours. As a tiny (or formerly tiny) feminine presenting woman, dealing with car maintenance is one of my least favorite passtimes. No matter how knowledgeable I am, or how much I advocate for myself 9/10 times, I'm undermined, talked at, talked down to or upsold. To be fair, I guess everyone is upsold. All that being said, this experience was refreshingly different! This is my third time visiting these folks, and each time I've been treated as a competent adult! This trip to replace my wheels was no different. As temporary wheel covers were standard for my vehicle, I noticed my wheel covers continued to fly off anytime I hit 80...or hit a pothole...or did anything else that's practically required as a Houston driver. My driving ability aside, at $100 a pop per wheel cover replacement, I'd spent a fortune replacing these babies each month, and was I was looking for a new, more effective solution. As soon as I arrived, we walked my car, I was provided options, asked my preferences, given examples, and my budget and timeline were respected. These gentlemen went out of their way ensuring I received new unopened packages (as we needed to order product from another store), and nailed the installation in recorded time after I mentioned I was short on time! Over the years I have used Discount Tire countless times in several different states. I have to say that this location was the best operational location I have ever visited. I came in for 4 new tires to be installed. I checking in right before 8:15AM. Before I left, they told me that they would have my car done before 9AM. This seemed really ambitious to me. However, before I walked outside to leave (I was dropping off my car), they had already pulled my car in and started removing the wheels. I received a text by 8:45AM that my car was ready for pickup. I thought to myself that could have been too fast and I wonder if they did a good job. I return, inspected my car, did a road test and it was perfect. A+ job guys. I was driving up to Fort Worth and wanted to get the air pressure checked in my tires. There was no line for air and the guy quickly checked and filled them up. He noticed a piece a metal in one of the tires. I asked how bad it was since I didn't seem to be losing much air and I had to get to my meeting. Knowing I was going on a long trip and in a rush, he went ahead and pulled off the wheel and took out the piece of metal and in the end it didn't puncture the tire so there was no issues. I'm normally prepared to wait an hour or so for this but I really appreciate that he was able to take care of it immediately given my situation. read more

This place is great. I've bought two sets of off-road tires and a replacement tire for my wife's car from Discount. They are professional, fast, honest and top notch in all aspects. They once accidentally replaced the wrong tire that had a nail in it. After we figured out what was wrong they replaced the right tire for free of charge and zero hassle (even rushed delivery so it arrived less than 24 hours later). UPDATE: I hate to take away stars from business, but sometimes it's a necessity. I got my tires changed today, and I'm not happy. Multiple issues: 1. Car was supposed to be ready in 45 min, but took 1.5 hours. If this was the only issue, I could've ignored it. 2. I asked the tires to be set at 40 PSI. 2 tires were at 45, and 2 were at 35! Had to stop by Costco on the way to get the correct air. 3. When tires are installed, a lube is used to push them into the wheels. There's usually a bit of the lube leftover that can be cleaned with soap and water. They ended up leaving a TON of that yucky lube - they didn't take any precautions to avoid this. See attached pics. I'm going to have to use a power wash just to clean this up. Not what I want to do after getting brand new tires. These issues caused me to change my review from 5 to 2 stars. ====== Initial review: Love how Discount Tire is taking precautions for COVID. Stuck on the road on my Harley with a nail in my tire. I stopped and only asked for some air for my tire so I could get to the dealership. I was told absolutely No! Because it was a motorcycle. I was at this location at around 1 pm on Saturday to get my tires inflated, and waited patiently in line for around 10 minutes before I was approached by an employee. I was told by this employee that they were closing and would not service my vehicle, despite being in the afternoon, and told me I should go to Costco and pump the tires myself. It was very frustrating and I was unsatisfied with the customer service. Overall, I would not recommend this location. I've had great experiences at other Discount Tire stores. read more

The guys that put air in your tires at Discount Tire are really nice and personable. Their is a special place for just getting your air checked so that you don't have to wait for a salesman to come out side to help you. You just pull up where the cones are and someone comes right over. They will let you know if there is a reason why your tire has a low psi. That guy sent me over to park and said someone would be out to help me due to having a nail in my tire. I could see all the associates standing around talking, (about 6 of them). After about 15 minutes of nobody coming out I decided to go in, since they weren't interested in coming and helping me. As soon as I got to the door one of the guys came up to me and said he was heading out to help me I'm not sure how their service is, because I had to leave due to having an appointment elsewhere for something else. I would think if there weren't any cars in the number slots except mine and there were only 2 customers that I saw they shouldn't have been that busy. What bothered me was the employees standing around talking when I'm waiting in my car waiting for one of them to come help me. I have no problem going in to ask for help, but I was told to park in a number and someone would be right out. That was not the Case. Always appreciate the service I receive at DT. This visit was no different. I simply came in for a free tire rotation. I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes. I drive about 42K miles per year. I need to get my tires rotated about once every 3 months. They are pretty good about getting me done quickly. The staff at this location had some major hustle on this day with guys running everywhere. Once they got my car in the bay, I was done in about 10 minutes. I purchased a full set of tires online from this store. I made an appointment online and dropped my car off to have them installed. They were unable to provide a new set of locking lug nuts during installation even though they told me they would do so. When I picked up my truck, I asked if the new locking lug nuts had been installed. Upon inspection, I discovered that they were not. Had I not inquired, I would've driven home without one lug nut on each tire. Discount tire sent me an email asking how they did. I explained the situation and expressed my disappointment. The store manager, Rodrigo, called me that same day. He apologized for the issue and asked how he could make it right. I told him that I was going to purchase a set of OEM locking lug nuts and he said he would pay for and install them with no charge. He did so today. Disappointing service levels are only an issue if nothing is done to rectify the issue. I thank Discount Tire for responding to my issue in such a quick and powerful way. I've been to several DT locations over the years and this one continues to raise the bar each time I deal with them. Head manager Dexter and Assistant manager Chris Carr go out of their way to take care of their customers. I had some rubbing issues with a wheel that I picked out myself and when I called to tell them they didn't hesitate and immediately told me to come back in and they would swap them out and issue me a refund. When it comes to cars, experience has taught me to expect to be swindled at every turn. With one tire in desperate need of repair and a patch job for another, I warily came to Discount Tire, only to be completely blown away. Whether calling by phone or coming in person, I was always treated pleasantly and the man at the front desk was kind and patient with the extra process of contacting my tire coverage warranty about the work that needed to be done. On a weekday afternoon, the wait was about an hour and a half but in the large waiting room, furnished with comfy chairs and magazines, the wait went by fairly quickly. It was also helpful to have someone come by every so now and then to give me an update on my vehicle. A window in the waiting room looks out into the garage and all perfunctory glances revealed a hardworking team of guys moving efficiently to get cars in and out. Everything was done in the estimated time and when I paid for the work later, I found that they hadn't even charged me for the patch job. Even better, the tires had not only been fixed but also rotated, which was something my car had sorely needed for some time. The next day, while driving on the interstate with 3 small kids in the rain, the passenger side wiper blade flew off. It was extremely scary since we were on the interstate.
