I've used Goodyear Kaneohe for the last 4 years. My husband found a screw in his tire this morning, so I suggested he take it to Goodyear to get a patch. He dropped his car off at 8am. Checked on it two times they said it it was next in line BOTH times. At 4pm they called us saying the car was ready, by that point we were already in town for an event. It took over 7 hours to do a patch job. I understand they have plenty of clients, but to take seven hours on a patch job when we were the first walk in of the day, is not acceptable. We asked the female employee who called us if we could pick up the car tomorrow (Sunday) since online says they're open. She said no they were closed, we could come on Monday. My husband works on Monday the exact time they open. We then made arrangements with the female staff member to pick up the car after hours. She would leave the keys in the trunk (we have a spare key) and it would be parked in the back. She then took our card info over the phone, and charged it. We arrive at Goodyear to pick up my husbands car, and it's LOCKED IN THE GARAGE. I'm beyond disappointed in the poor customer service my husband was provided. Going to update this review because of the great service today. On the way home, my tire pressure light came on. After checking the tires, I noticed a nail in the front passenger side. It's 4 o clock on a Saturday. No shops open tomorrow, work on Monday. I called Goodyear and they were able to take me in. Long story short, I was grateful to find out the nail hadn't punctured the tire, They filled all my tires up including the spare and I left with peace of mind. First the good. Oil change included a tire rotation at no extra charge. Service was completed within the estimated time quoted. Also was able to get a safety inspection while most other places I contacted had you wait a week or two. The Bad: made the appointment on their website for Sunday only to arrive to find out they aren't open on Sundays. Rescheduled online for Monday at 4pm and I called to verify they had me listed. They did but asked if I could come in an hr earlier. When I arrived I showed the price I was quoted on their website. The regular price for the "Better Oil change" was $69.99 but discounted to $59.99. The CS rep said their mgr tells them when there are discounts and he wasn't told anything so he couldn't honor my website quote. The oil change charge was $89.99 - a $30 increase. Looked liked a bait and switch to me. Was my first time using Goodyear. Doubt that I use them again. read more

I have a old vw that has been in storage for 9 years. I turned in my license plates(in 2016) and had no current registration but I wanted to get the car back on the road. It needed a safety check as part of the process but I knew it would fail because of no plates. I had set up the safety check for Thursday and a appointment w/DMV the same day hoping to do it all in one day. I was informed that the two mechanics that do the safety checks on my scheduled Thursday--one was his day off and the other had to go to a funeral on the same Thursday. They called me on Wednesday the day before my scheduled appointments to inform me of the problem. DMV appointments are at least a month out so what do I do?? I rushed and did the failed safety check on Wednesday with the help of Carlos and John. They offered to keep the car there overnight inside so I could come back on Thursday and make it to my scheduled DMV appointment. So it all worked out smoothly thanks to Carlos and John. I've been spending a lot of time traveling back and forth from town to the Windward side so I find myself pressed for time to do my errands with my limited free time. As a car owner, getting a safety check is important and I need to do annually. For the longest time I've been patronizing my go to mechanic near the Ward area. I've been fortunate to squeeze in their busy schedule for many years but I just couldn't find time to stop by within their business hours with a strict deadline. That's the price you pay for procrastination. With time running out and not much time to spare I decided to inquire with Goodyear. With such low ratings on Yelp for this location I was very reluctant to come here but decided to call for information. Safety checks are done via appointment and I was able to secure a time slot that best worked for me. I drove up and with my lucky stars I was able to have the safety check done quickly than I had expected. I came prepared with my current car registration and auto insurance. The staff did the necessary checks and within a very reasonable time they were done. The staff here are primarily males and I found them friendly. To be frank I wasn't expecting much but the staff here exceeded my expectations. Customer service is important in business and the staff at Goodyear here did not disappoint. This Goodyear is located near Safeway in Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center across Windward Mall. Previously I also came here to have the air pressure checked for my tires as well as having a nail removed from my tire. The staff attended to my needs each time and I walked away happy. We were so impressed, we made an appt on the spot for my tiny car to get new tires, even though we live across the island. Again, my tires were installed and the car was ready less than an hour after my appointment had started with a quick, professional, and engaging team. It doesnt hurt the location that there is ample stores within walking distance; my toddler and I were able to snag coffee and a breakfast plus get some reading in at the bookstore before we came to pick up my car with fabulous new tires. They were speedy with changing the alternator, we were told it would take three days and it was ready the next day. They however didn't put all the parts back on after finishing the change. We also requested an alignment and were told that it would get done, after looking at the receipt it wasn't added and it definitely wasn't done. I personally don't think it's worth the money spent especially after working in a shop for a few years myself. As for customer service, the lady ringing me up was very nice. All the guys my husband dealt with were condescending and the ones that spoke to me about other issues were also exceedingly condescending and abrupt. I was already into my appointment but that kind of stuff just really put a bad taste in my mouth. We always take our 3 cars to this location, Even We live in Town we drive all the way to Kaneohe because always the personal was very nice and helpful. We have a special program on our cars to do a service, Always have trouble finding our account in their system but they always communicate very nicely and are helpful in finding our account. My wife went for our appointment today for the 6 monthly services and the front desk lady was not nice or helpful in the way talking to my wife at the beginning. Not Sure if her name was Janelle, but she was not really trying to help. The rest of the persons always are very nice and helpful, I don't have any complaints about the people working on the back or the Other guys at the front desk. We always make our next 6 months' appointment after they have done our car service but this time the front desk lady refuses to give us our next appointment, saying that needs to be made a month before is due. We have one more service for this car and that will be the last I do at this location. I will buy the next program service for my cars in a different location. Don't take me wrong, my disappointment is only for the representative at the front desk. I hope they can improve and get better training. read more

Changed my tire there less two years ago, about 16k miles added since. No problem until the other day I suddenly noticed the cracking surface of the tread. Really surprised! I replaced two other tires on the same car before the Goodyear tire (I have to mention I did the last one at Goodyear just because of convenience), none had the same issue. Since it's been already running for two years, I thought maybe it was time for me to just replace it but it also appeared to me the tire had some quality issue. I would like very much to bring the car to Goodyear to see what they were going to say. I seriously kinda expected them to refuse to claim anything wrong with the tire (well what can we expect). A guy didn't even hesitate for a second to point out it was alignment issue. I did my alignment at my dealer service every year and the tire clearly had no wear signs. But he just insisted it was the alignment that caused it, and offered to do the alignment and replace the tire for me of course. Heck no. I ended up going back to my dealer to change the tire. And I asked the mechanics there to diagnose the tire. I was not surprised to be told the tire quality was the issue. I posted the pictures of the tire. See it for yourself. Next time you are thinking to go the Goodyear Kaneohe, think again before you make decision. Also be careful with Goodyear tires (the one at issue was made in Turkey). read more

Made an appointment for oil change. Goodyear is advertising an oil change special. Was informed that it will take 2 hours to perform their service. Goodyear uses Valvoline petroleum products. Waiting in the front area with TV and chairs. For 45+ minutes from the start of my appointment time my vehicle didn't move from where I parked. Service took a little longer than 2 hours. Many places to eat and shop (Panda Express, Subways, pizza, Safeway, Longs, Walgreens, First Hawaiian Bank, auto parts, FedEx, TMobile, Petco, Jamba/Starbucks) while waiting for them to work on your vehicle at Kaneohe Bay Shopping Center and Windward Mall and Zippys is across the highway. read more

This is a 2017 story but I still 'stick to my guns and say NO' here. Long story short: I purchased 4 new tires here. They were defective, sliding in even light rain. I kept returning and they kept telling me they were 'fine'. After my brother borrowed my car and I forgot to tel him about the tires...and he near slid through an intersection trying to stop at a red light and was so VERY PISSED OFF, I finally contacted the Corporate Offices by email with all data and details. They told me to go back and get it checked yada yada: again they told me it was FINE. Outraged, I spoke to Corporate and they then took control and told the manager to REPLACE MY TIRES asap. Meanwhile, months had gone by! When they finally WERE replaced, it was with a really BAD attitude like I was ripping THEM off. As soon as I pulled out, the difference in how my car drove was immediately felt. This is my second time here for my safety inspection. I came on 7/24/23 by appointment at 3pm. My vehicle failed inspection for the passengers side front low beam, I told them on the phone I can come back with a new bulb to change it. When I got back I had to explained and said sorry I meant I can change the bulb myself which I usually work on my truck myself. I got back and waited 30 minutes. One of the workers I believe his name is Chad or Shad came out with an attitude and told me why I didn't tell him I didn't need my light bulb changed because they charge $49, I already told the front desk worker I could do it myself and I will bring my truck back in the next day. So Chad was frustrated about that but it was they're fault for not communicating with eachother. Chad continued to have a attitude towards me, the coworkers in the front desk were apologizing to me for Chad's behavior. Come to find out my safety sticker wasn't even expired, expires 11/23 and they didn't even tell me until after I paid, I was confused because my registration was actually expired. My fault for not looking at my registration paper before going in. So they just tell me to come back when I change my bulb. I return 7/26/23 for a walk-in 11:30pm. I drive into Good Years parking lot no parking as usually so I tried reverse parking in front of the first garage slightly next to the other cars, Chad is in the garage telling me to pull forward and waving his arms in the garage I have no clue what he is telling me almost causing a accident with another vehicle trying to pass through.. I told him I am hard of hearing I am supposed to be wearing hearing aids so i cannot comprehend what he is trying to wave and yell from inside of the garage, also my truck has a loud exhaust so I can't hear what Chad is telling me to do, it was in the heat of the moment and I want to apologize to Chad for speaking to him the way I did but his customer service skills is lacking. He apologized but I truly don't understand why he was giving me a hard time 2 times no business should be treating customers the way he did especially living in a tight knit community, everyone knows everyone in Kāne'ohe. I know working in a mechanic shop can be tough but it does not give him the right to treat other people or customers like that. I demanded for the owner and their managers and he told me they are not here. So while all this little confrontation going down the owner and manager wasn't even in the office to address me or Chad. Been going there for my tires and alignments for almost 20 years. I can tell you I will never go there again. First they did alignment on my truck . It didn't seem right. So I took it to a mechanic he said they must of really forced the alignment because the rod ends were bent. Got fix I let it go. I do my saftey checks there for my cars and trailer every year. Every year they have a problem last year one light the running in the middle. Ok I replaced the whole light bar. So today I take the same 3 year old Karavan trailer (not a home built one ) and he starts to tell me I need lights on the front tongue and point at how the cars have on the front side. I said every year its something. He said dont blame me blame the State. Well I have found no rule change about having to have lights there. But I can tell you this I will never do business there ever again nor will I ever recommend them. read more

She got me the best deal I have ever received on tires and we scheduled the appointment for the very next morning! My husband had a 10am appointment this morning at Goodyear Kaneohe to get 4 new tires, an alignment and safety check. When he dropped off the car, the guy told him it would be 2 hours and he'd call when it was done, but here we are 4 hours later, and they said it was gonna be another 30-45 minutes. Apparently, they got 2 wrong tires from somewhere and then had to go back to that other store to get the correct ones. You would think we'd get some kind of courtesy call letting us know what's going on, right? Nope, nothing. When I asked the guys why they didn't call us, his response was "oh, I didn't know what time you were coming back but they're working on it now" Duh, we were coming back when you guys called us after 2 hours.
