I normally use the Firestone Complete Auto Care center on Hickam because it's conveniently located between home and work. However, I was off today and didn't really feel like driving all the way to Hickam to get my oil changed, and because the Firestone on Hickam doesn't do online appointments. Bummer. This Goodyear center is located just down the street from where I live, nestled tightly in the Stadium Mall shopping center, across the street from Kmart. I scheduled my appointment at 9:00AM and was able to get my car taken care of at 12:00PM. I showed up a few minutes early, but they got to work right away. I decided to walk over to the Kmart across the street to pick up a few things. I was only in the store for twenty minutes when I received a phone call from Goodyear. Now, this is the part where I'm expecting them to tell me that during their inspection -- which is complementary with the oil change -- they had found an additional repair that needed to be performed, like my brakes, which I had just had replaced six months ago. But no, they called to tell me that my oil had been changed and my car was ready to go. The total? $37.12. I'm used to having to pay twice that much and waiting up to four times as long at Firestone. I'd say I'm completely satisfied. Bottom line: same-day appointment with only three hours of advance notice, in and out within thirty minutes, no hassling me for additional services, and a low price? Customer service was bad. Greeted by long faces and cocky attitudes. Bad enough we had to be there in the first place to fix a tire. The only up side was they fixed the problem, that's about it. They tried to charge me more but the manager quoted me less before I came. So I pointed it out and the guy at the counter seemed grouchy since it was less then he was trying to charge me. I made an online appointment to purchase and mount 4 new tires and get an oil change. When I called to confirm, I was told that the tires I ordered were out of stock, but they offered a more expensive tire at the same price. Cool. Because I bought 4 tires, they only charged me 90 cents, yes 90 cents, for the oil change. Cool again! Dropped my car off at about 12:15, and got a call from them to pic it up at about 1:45. I was completely satisfied with their service, and frankly, am puzzled by some of the other reviews. Maybe I was lucky. Maybe they were unlucky. All I know is that I am happy and will go back to them when I need tires again. read more

I bought my vehicle in for safety checks many times and it would take some time considering there are people in front of me getting the same thing done. I brought my vehicle in today for a state inspection and when I came back to pick it up it was parked across from Goodyear unlocked with the engine running. Who knows for how long! I'm pissed! Plus, they wouldn't pass my inspection because they said the inside of my front tires were bald but they couldn't replace them because they don't have the size. The service that I received this time was great, the manager helped me but I can't remember his name. It's best to make an appointment because if you don't have one and want to walk in you will be waiting a long time. I waited about an hour and I did have an appointment. Staff was very nice and kind. I needed to patch one of my tires because I unknowingly ran over a nail. I purposely avoided this location for years because the last time I went a few years ago the female that was working there was not nice to me and told me that someone was playing a joke on me. No one was playing a joke on me because my tire was completely flat I even had a photo to prove it & she kept insisting that nothing was wrong. read more

I've gotten fast and cheap(!) oil changes from them before. Today I came in on my lunch break for a safety inspection; they don't take appointments for these and mine was very expired. They said it would be 2 hours or more, as I was #6 in line. They immediately offered other (competitor) locations, saying I could come back to the same place in line if those didn't work out better. I decided to just wait, saying I'd walk to get food and would get back to work late. So imagine my surprise when they called just as I was finishing my tacos, saying my car was done. I have been going to this location for over four years. Everything from tires, to brakes, to oil changes has been done with no issue until my last visit. Wife brought my car in to have a window motor replaced. The employee stated they are a business and don't get a customer price. Furthermore, he was very aggressive and stated the price was firm. Needless to say their over pricing was matched with another local Goodyear that quoted half of their $497 total cost. Extremely dissappointed. Update: After further inspection of the window, it appears no technician actually removed the outer shell of the vehicle door to actually inspect what the issue was. My wife and I were told other wise. Furthermore, when told what the issue was, the technician said it was the motor only and actually is the regulator. The motor is perfectfully fine. If you are reading this, I would find another shop or brand to look at your vehicle. read more

I like that they allow you to make an appointment online. I work full time and I'm a student full time so the only time I had available to get my car serviced was on a Sunday morning, went in and the male at the counter didn't accept my electronic copy of my insurance. So I asked him if there's a reason why because when I went to another Goodyear, they had no problem with me using an electronic copy and he said "just cuz." Didn't even give me an option to email it to them or even reschedule an appointment he just said they won't accept it. read more

Among the best Goodyear I've been to on this island. Edwin & Randy are really nice and friendly. Went in for an oil change and found out my wheels were almost falling off so they took care of me and change the studs and lug nutz. The machine Alex who is super friendly :) always came out and notify me what his going to fix/change. He would actually take me out and show+explain everything to me. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the assistant at the front desk and there was no cream for the coffee lol. Idk why that guy is even working there lol always on his phone and watching tv. Easy job for him I guess. read more

Unfortunately for me I know this place way to well. I've been going there for auto care for many years. It's down the street from where I live and is very convenient. I usually leave my car and walk to the K-mart area and shop around until the job is done. Thanks to Edwin and Randy I keep going back because they are super nice. If not for those 2 guys I would have chosen somewhere else a long time ago. I just went today and even though the problem I thought I had did not require any mechanical work, Edwin took the time to explain how to deal with the issue. Nearly 3 hours to get an oil change done. Why is there an appointment option if they are not going to follow it? I don't understand how this place is still in business? I gave it a second chance since the last bad experience here and I regret my decision full heartedly. Last time I came for an oil change and safety inspection. They gave me my keys back without even doing a safety inspection. That was a 2 1/2 wait and an additional 1 hour wait after I brought to their attention the lack of safety inspection. I don't do Yelp reviews but this place needs an even lower rating so people stop coming here. Hopefully they will change because I believe good people work here, but I guess I will never see that day because they just lost another customer. read more

Conveniently located at salt lake shopping center.. Been here a few times for an oil change (oil changes ranges from $35-70), I called on 3/25 to set up an appointment for a check engine light. Dropped the car at 2:15pm on 3/25/16.. Edwin assisted my fiancé and I, estimated total was $130 for a diagnostic check, and any additional will be advised when results from the diagnostic check is confirmed! Got a call at 4pm saying that they will order the parts and will work on it tomorrow... Received a call the next day at 9am that they fixed the engine light but recommended all the liquids to be changed (basically they asked for approval before doing anything to the car - which is awesome! Also said it should be ready by 3pm) They called back at 11am saying it was ready for pick up! Yay!! Total for everything including the oil change, repairing of the vacuum hose, flush maintenance, power steering fluid came up to $500... Thank you Good Year! :) read more

Called up for an appointment to buy tires and put them on my aftermarket rims. I also wanted to put the pressure sensors from my stock rims onto the aftermarket rims. Had to do 2 trips. One to bring the aftermarket rims and one to bring the car. When I get there a totally different service rep checked me in. He then starts to give me this BS about my stock sensors would be damaged if I had a flat. This is ridiculous cause I'm putting the same dimension tires as the stock ones were. I explained that to him then he tells me let me talk to the technician. He comes back and says they are scared their machine will scratch my aftermarket rims. So does it mean they will scratch stock rims but it is ok? Smfh. Sounded like it was late in the day and they just didn't want my business. Did me a favor cause instead of paying $1800 for their azz dunlops I got Nittos for half as much. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I guess safety check appointments made online are not honored even after getting a reminder email from them the day before it was supposed to happen. Would have given at least two stars but the girl at the register was on her cellphone for a while before addressing the only customer in line (me) and for rudely telling me that none of the Goodyear stores honor safety check appointments made from their online system. Never mind the fact that I was totally inconvenienced, why have a system in place that doesn't work? Looks like I'll be going elsewhere for my safety check. I've taken my car here a handful of times now for various things ranging from oil changes to brake inspections to strut replacements. Every time, the service has been outstanding. The staff is friendly, they're prompt, and they always give you an honest assessment, even if it costs them business. I never feel like I'm getting fed a bunch of BS from these guys, and that trust is important to me. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Horrible. 3 hours to tell me I couldn't use my Insurance card through the app. First they said yes then I spent over 3 hours with a toddler all while their manager just watched. I will never return to this location and I've been a repeat customer for several years. Generally, the front desk staff were rude and I let it go. But today was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced. I was in line in the waiting room processing my safety check like everyone else and they took my keys. While waiting, FOR THEM, an employee from the shop came yelling at me to move my car which was parked in their parking lot in front of all the other customers there. I walked outside while calmly asking him to speak to me in a nice manner and that I didn't mind moving my car but he kept on going off. He said he was a supposed "manager" there. Apparently there are a lot of managers there that have no sense of customer service, especially based on all the other comments on here. It only reflects on the rest of their employees because even the receptionist was rude... but anyway, Not liking his attitude, I told him that I'm going elsewhere and that he should work on his customer service. His response was "Get lost!"- UNBELIEVABLE!! Don't waste your time coming here because it's convenient. Take an extra 5-10 minute drive and go somewhere that will have the decency to be at least courteous and appreciate your business. read more

Goodyear Auto Mililani has excellent customer service relationship most particularly to The Manager named Patrick. The mechanic that did my Toyota 4Runner did an excellent job too in troubleshooting my truck and replacing my alternator, it's back on the road again. Patrick is so much customer service oriented guy, he don't mind giving a ride to the customer whether to work or at home. Rude, Deceitful, and Incompetent. I'll explain all three. Walking in the person at the front desk "Wise" is just plain rude. Yes, his name is Wise. I'm there for just a safety check and it's 8AM and Wise says, there are a couple people ahead of you, and looks over at 2 guys sitting in the waiting area. I say fine (assuming now that it is two people in front of me). An hour later I ask about the status of my car, and Wise tells me that there are still numerous people ahead of me. An hour and 40 minutes later I finally have my safety inspection done. I go to DMV to get my Hawaii plates/registration, and when I return they put the back plate on the front of the car. (In Hawaii the plate with the registration sticker goes on the back.) I wouldn't normally check something so simple but I just happened to check in this case. I make them swap the plates (which the moron does with an impact wrench). Bottom line, if they can't get "mounting license plates" right, I wouldn't trust them with anything else. They also charged a $5 window tint check fee, which is bullshit because my windows aren't tinted and it's not required by the state. The only positive was that the coffee in the waiting area was good, I almost gave them an extra star for the coffee... but I didn't. The coffee should be good since apparently everyone that goes there waits around for at least 2 hours. Bottom line, these guys suck, I don't trust them, and I am not going back. read more

The only reason I'm giving one star is because the girl in the front was nice and apologetic......the workers were lazy and didn't even want patch my tire ...they insisted on buying a whole brand new tire even though my tire was barely two months old . First visit Jason had me in and out with a single tire repair (but don't expect to ever be in and out lol) the second visit, Diana knew i was in a rush so she came up with a solution to get me out of there with everything i needed. I had an appt for an oil change and safety inspection. Went in for the appt and they were closed... No phone call or anything saying that they were not going to be open today. The worst thing is that there were employees waiting outside that also had no idea that they were going to be closed. I understand emergencies, but not telling their own employees is unacceptable. They had time to put a sign on the door. They should have also made the time to contact their workers so they wouldn't have to waste time and gas to get out there. read more

when is goodyear going to figure out that they can't advertise a $65.00 special on a tire, and then when one goes to sign the service bill, dump a required $17.00 lifetime rebalance fee, and another $18.00 of random shop and dumping fees, making the bill 1/3 higher. same goes for oil change, they ADVERTISE $23.00, get you into the shop and you are forced at the last minute, (at the last step to get the job done) , to agree to a bill for $35.00 I'm pretty sure this is illegal, despite their excuse, about it being out of their hands, that they must charge their various shop fees. false leader otherwise they service was fine , except an uncrowded middle of the weekday, day, with an appointment, is 1 hour to change a tire.... read more

Been to this place numerous times and somehow they don't have any of our information. They had vehicles under my account that I have never owned. Also don't waste your time in scheduling an appointment for a safety check because they don't take appointments for a safety check even though their website offers that option. Plus they won't call you to let you know the appointment is a waste they will wait until you get here to let you know that something that should take only an hour will now take at least 2 hours. Very fast service. Ed (manager) was very helpful and very informative. I Came in for an oil change, 2 tires, alignment, and a safety inspection. Ed said there were about 3 people in front of me and it might be about a 3 hour wait which I was fine with. So I decided to heck out the rest of the stadium mall. 2 hours later, I ge a call from Ed personally telling me the my car was done and ready for pick up. His workers are very fast and professional... My car had plastic seat protectors, steerin wheel cover, and protective floor mats.. Omg!!! They deserve no stars!! If I could give out negative I would! I am still sitting here from 8am! It's currently 1130am. I've seen 5 other people come in after me and go that had no appointment and have had their car service done. I bring my car here pretty regularly for the past 3 years, but this is the last time! I was told 1130am my car would be ready after I checked with them 45 min ago. Sad to say my car is just being taken in to be worked on and it's 1134am. I rarely grumble or complain but I think this validates me being pretty angry and disappointed for the lack of good service and most of all the lack of accountability with no empathy. An apology goes a long way! They deserve to loose business if this type of service persists. They most of all have lost my trust which equals to my business!! read more
