Dani & her team of fitness trainers are absolutely AMAZING!!! I was looking for a workout space…read morethat I could feel empowered and this exceeded my expectations. The first session was simply a conversation with the trainer solely for the purposes of learning what was important to me so they could tailor not just the workouts, but also ways to help me feel inspired as a whole person. That made me feel so special. The trainers were sure to respect and be mindful of what could seemingly be small details but were important me. That for me is priceless! The physical space itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It was designed with so much intentionality that it made the workout sessions even more enjoyable. The small group sessions are lovely. They aren't overstimulating and that was key for me. Every workout session left me feeling inspired, encouraged and renewed not just physically but mentally & emotionally. Lastly, Dani, the owner and founder, is an absolute PLEASURE to do business with and her passion for mind and body fitness is evident. She wants every client to get what they need to feel empowered. She makes herself accessible and easy to communicate with either by phone, email or text. As a nurse leader, I am deeply appreciative of what she has created at Very Personal Training and will continue to do support her business not only with my own personal training but also with group training events that I will host for my clinical team and friends. This place is truly one of a kind!

If I did not choose this gym, I don't think I would have stuck through with my fitness journey…read more Point-blank and simple. When I first wanted to start working out, I was fairly uncomfortable with the idea of being in a huge gym and having to work out in front of people. I looked for a long time to find a space that was close to me that offered privacy. Sevenbell was one of those gyms, and while it was a little inconvenient to get to from my location, I decided to give it a try. I believe it was one of the best decisions I made. The gym is always spotless, never crowded, and I always felt comfortable in the space. When I went here (I no longer live in the area and have since changed gyms) I actually looked forward to coming every day, because I knew I would not have to sit around and wait for a machine to be free, or have to deal with rude people making noise and slamming weights. If you are like me and are looking for a gym that is clean, quiet, and accepting of everyone no matter where they are on their fitness journey, then this is the place for you. It is well worth the price and I could not be happier with the time I had spent there. Also, the personal trainers are amazing. I worked with Jesse while I was there, and I felt he did a great job with giving me a foundation to work with in my personal workouts. Cam (who is like 6'5 and looks like The Hulk after he transforms) walked by me one day and mentioned that I looked bigger, and that my form was good. It felt like I won the lottery :)

Gashford's training sessions mix Muay Thai and regular weight lifting with some cardio. In only a couple months, I feel much stronger and have noticed increased focus and energy during the day after each session. He also has helped with meal planning and explains the science behind his workouts which i really appreciate. I've never really seen more than 10-15 people in the facility at a time, and as someone who hates big gyms, it's a super welcoming environments for complete newbies like myself. Perfect place and trainer if you're looking to mix up your workouts and create a real life style change!

I've been training with Nate now for about a year and rating 5 starts isn't enough…read more Studio 16 is as if a luxury gym decided to open up a pop up shop. It's always clean, great sound system and top of the line equipment. While small, this intimate location works out your entire body. There's a small shop should you ever forget your supplements and a bathroom stocked with items so you don't leave stinky. Also there's a tv for bopping music videos to get you through your workout! Nate is incredibly friendly and personable. Never a moment of awkward silence. He's incredibly well versed in all areas of health. He's made my, as cliche as it sounds, "Fitness journey" exciting. Always available for any questions I have even when we're not training. Working out never feels like a chore. I always tell people Nate feels like the cool older brother I wish I had. I grew up very artsy and sports/fitness was never exciting or easy for me. He's made me look at the gym with less fear now - I feel like one of the boys. Plus...he's down to play some gay pop bops(Spice Girls, Ariana Grande, Madonna, etc....) and easy on the eyes. I highly recommend him if you're looking to start fresh this New Year or get closer to your goal.

I've been working out with Len for nearly 4 months now, and I'm thrilled with my results…read more Len is only the second trainer I've ever had and I attribute that largely to the fact that as challenging as the workouts are, I'm addicted to them. I ran track in college and have been no stranger to the gym since graduating 10 years ago. Like many former athletes, I found myself locked in a cycle of the same workouts over and over, combined with an increasingly demanding work and travel schedule. Boredom and fatigue caught up with me and maintaining a consistent workout schedule was really difficult. I stumbled upon Len's studio while going on a walk through my neighborhood and as I was searching for new gyms in the area to cure some of my boredom a few days later, the studio came up in my yelp search. I decided to give it a try and have been there nearly every week since. Now I have to say that Len's workouts can certainly be HARD (especially in the first few weeks) but they are unlike anything I was doing on my own in a weight room. I'm building real strength and have noticed more balanced muscle development than I was able to achieve by myself (i.e. my hamstring to quad ratio is far better). I also look and feel amazing but I'm most proud of the my personal and mental growth I've achieved as I've grown stronger over the past few months. Len will push you to go beyond what you believe you are capable of. I am working hard in every session, and appreciate Len's attention to detail. He's also been really flexible with my schedule. Sometimes I have to travel at the last minute and he's always cool about it. If you are serious about your health and fitness goals, this is the studio for you. It is beyond worth it and you will not regret it. Invest in yourself!

I've worked with a lot of personal trainers over the years, and let me be very clear: Len is one of…read morethe best I've ever had. And trust me, this phase of my life was not the "young, motivated, can't-wait-to-work-out" era. When I first walked into Len's studio, I was tired, unmotivated, and feeling a little too comfortable in my fluff. Somehow, he met me exactly where I was and still got results. Before we even talk training, let's talk about the studio. It is sleek, spotless, and beautifully equipped with everything you actually need. No chaos, no crowds, no side-eyes. Just a clean, private space that instantly puts you at ease. It smells amazing, it's immaculately maintained, and most importantly, it feels safe. Len is a true professional. No weird vibes, no pressure, no ego. Just focused, respectful, all-business energy that lets you relax and do the work. What started as "let me try this for a month or two" turned into consistent training twice a week for nearly nine months. That alone says everything. Len helped me rebuild strength, energy, and confidence without running me into the ground or forcing workouts I dreaded. My clothes fit better, my stamina is up, and I feel like myself again. I still have goals ahead, but thanks to Len, I'm back in the game and moving forward the right way. If you're looking for a trainer who prioritizes safety, delivers real results, and works out of a clean, private studio where you can truly focus on yourself, Len is it. Period.

Two stories of equipment!…read more I've been a member for a few years, as well as a client of Evolve for some of those years. The first floor also houses Evolve Physical Therapy which has two office spaces in the facility, as well as shares the equipment and space at Harbor, meaning whether you are a member of Harbor or a client at Evolve you can use the equipment. The front desk staff is very friendly and recognize you after awhile. They even have fitness coaches you can employ (I believe the first session is comlimentary. There are television screens in front of most of the ellipticals as well treadmills; each treadmill, universal, bike and elliptical has their own screens as well although they either don't work for tv (just workout data) or I haven't figured it out yet. On the main floor also has a myriad of cardio and resistance gym equipment, different sized towels, a large spin or pilates room main floor, water fountain, alcohol wipe dispenser stations throughout, and one person restroom, and small lounge area. They also sell smoothies and protein shakes at reception. Downstairs are the punch/kick bags, free weights, and another room (yoga?), free men's and women's locker rooms (there are private ones upstairs, and a few downstairs as well), and a sauna (I don't remember if there was a shower - but there may be as I see people with towels and a hair dryer in restroom. The first floor which also serves the PT patients is ADA compliant. There is no elevator that I know of so the lower level is not. Most of the members are mindful in wiping down the equipment after they use it, for the next person to use. The building is right on the corner. Street meter parking on 5th Avenue, and free alternate side of the street parking on side streets - if you are lucky enough to find it. One block up from R train (closest station may be Prospect Avenue and 4th Avenue; whereas F and G at 9th Street and 4th Avenue). Their setup is awesome, with 6 hardwood platforms with infinity racks that span all of them. They have all the standard kg bumpers and nice 15 / 20 kg bars available. There's two power racks on the first floor and many more on the second, and they all have safeties. The first floor doesnt usually get very crowded except for a couple days during which there are classes between 6-8 but even then, you should be able to find a place to lift. If you're looking for coaching, Coach Joey runs two 90min sessions a week and provides exercises for a third session in the week. The first day is usually focused on snatch and the second on clean and jerk. There's a heavy emphasis on proper form, and I've found it to be an excellent environment for someone who is still learning the lifts. Usually there's no more than 6 people in the class, so each person gets plenty of individual attention. Lastly, I just want to mention how great the weightlifting community is here! Everyone I've met is pretty dedicated to the sport and super welcoming of new lifters. I've been given a few tips from others that have really helped me get better.

I had paid for a training package with one particular trainer who was recommended to me by a friend. He seemed like a cool guy, and he knew what he was doing for sure. By my second appointment I learned that one-on-one training wasn't true here: that walking off to go train someone across the room who isn't there for a training session seemed really odd. People/clients could easily see this as unprofessional & inconsiderate after paying for personal one on one training in full to only have 3/4 of their attention. That is absurd. Whether you're a newbie or a professional body builder- your paid training sessions is YOUR paid TIME. In all of my years of utilizing personal trainers I had never experienced such a thing at any other gym. I was confused, and asked about it. He told me that's how he rolls. He was not only late several times for my training sessions, but he didn't make up the time on the back end. The he stopped showing up. Seriously. He owed me two more sessions that were paid for in full. At $80 per session that's $160 that he stole essentially. Travis was his name. I don't know if he still trains there, but I had asked my friend what heck was going on with this trainer whom he highly recommended to me. My friend said that I apparently demasculated him by asking about the dual training with others that he just didn't want to train with me anymore. The guy's the size of a man truck but my inquiry over shared training time that was not a part of my package cut his ego so deeply that he resorted to such petty thievery by essentially stealing money by skipping services paid for. How gross. Incapable of a professional and mature discussion so instead he ghosted me and took my money. Fact. I would never recommend going here or training with someone so uncool, unprofessional, petty, and definitely immature. It was a shitty experience for someone who's friendly to a fault! I was nothing but kind to the guy, and was always friendly. It's what made his treatment of me so shocking. The experience was several years ago! This gym popped up in my Yelp search for training, and I am only just writing this up now! ?
