Let me first say that I NEVER write reviews unless a place is amazing, and I signed up for Yelp specifically so I could say good things about this place.... I came to visit my best friend in Brooklyn and couldn't afford to miss a work out. She pointed me straight to Fitness Gallery and I am SO IMPRESSED! Before moving to North Carolina, I lived in Brooklyn for 5 years and was a member of New York Sports Club and several different hot yoga studios and I was always unhappy with what I was paying versus what I was receiving as a customer. Fitness Gallery has everything you want from a big gym but with a built in community of support. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the trainers are knowledgeable - it is a small gym that packs a big punch! I highly recommend this place! I have been in for just one workout and was so impressed I plan to continue working out here the rest of my stay. Even as a legitimate first time visitor, I was greeted warmly, offered help from trainers when my form needed to be corrected, and met several staff members. Devon King is the new owner, and I understand that his training is top notch. This kind of service is not even close to the experience I had with New York Sports Club a few blocks away. I would like to take this opportunity and present a great personal trainer with a highest level of education in fitness, nutrition and physical rehabilitation JB Barsky. Mr. Barsky helped and transformed a lot of people in terms of general fitness and overall healthy lifestyle. I go to the gyms for a lot of years and I never met anyone like Barsky. What sets him a part from another trainers is his education. Allow me to eloborate....usually when you train with a personal trainer , you meet an ex athlete that can teach you the skills that were given to them. It is nice and helpful, no doubt. When you meet Barsky he sees the whole picture..... He'll give you meal plan, nutritional advice....he will ask you about your goals and will give you a very detailed assessment ....the most important that Mr. Barsky has masters degree in adolescent physical education as well. We all know that fitness and extra weight with children is the most important issue today. JB Barsky has 15 years of experience and great work ethics. A lot of people told me that in a past when they go to gym one way or another trainers made them uncomfortable , never the case with Barsky. This is one of the best gyms in this neighborhood. It's small and personal unlike the big chain gyms. The equipment is up to date and music is energizing. Over all the atmosphere is awesome that motivates you to keep working. On top of that the prices are more than fair. Also all of the staff trainers are friendly and know what they're doing. Especially JB Barsky. He's one of the best world class trainers. He's also an excellent knowledgeable athlete, fighting champion and a nutrition and diet expert. His expertise, workout plans and diet plans are applied to each person individually. He offers weights training, cross training and kickboxing as well as consultations. He can help you lose your weight, improve stamina and increase body strength and endurance. I have been training with him for some time and I have already seen awesome results. This gym is the absolute best. I absolutely hate huge gyms where everyone is on top of one another and Fitness Gallery is the complete opposite. I'm so happy I found this gym. I started training with Devon and he literally pushes me more than I even knew I can do. Wonderful person and best trainer! Helps out, takes his time to make sure I know how to do all the exercises properly and most importantly cares about his clients and them achieving their goals. Fitness galleries is a great place for workout, nice n clean, with pleasant atmosphere n ppl around...only positive emotions. The most I was impressed by Devon. There's no way I could find the better personal trainer but him. He's the one who helped to bring the sport into my life. Made me feel healthy n strong. He can see all the issues uve got and has an individual approach to everyone. Very friendly n always helpful no matter what. My absolute favorite gym. It has all the equipment needed From free weights to Classes of spin, yoga,, dance, and insanity workouts. I visited and trained at many diff gyms in brooklyn before finding fitness gallery and i find the personal training here to be superior. They are truly professional, pay attention to detail and will focus on your needs. ive seen results in my own physique since i joined. JB Barsky is really an amazing trainer with a very unique approach to each client. His training sessions are very goal oriented and the results are significant within a couple of months. I have always enjoyed fitness classes, but never felt comfortable working out with weights or machines. Well, JB completely transformed my vision, my endurance level and my physique. I love this gym! It's conveniently located, small, clean, and the staff is so friendly and helpful! Devon has been training me for a few months and he is outstanding. I was truly impressed by my experience here. The facility, the staff and the vibe were all top notch! This gym is the bomb! No its not huge, it has more of a boutique feel to it. If you're looking for a franchise styled gym, this is not for you. Gym is trash. It's rooted with racial discrimination. The current manager there only wants "Russians" at that gym. That's ok. It's a slow gym, not many members and the way it's going, it will be ran into the ground. Definitely not profitable. Discrimination gets you no where. Money is green no matter who you get it from. read more
