I've never considered myself to be unhealthy or overweight. I've always been thin and athletic and have always thought I've been pretty aware of nutrition and best practices - but I had just moved to New York, had stopped working out, gained weight, and knew I needed a structured program to jump start a change. This is hands down the easiest 5-star review I will write. Let me start this off the right way. I joined Adrian Jordan's 8-week challenge mid-May. My starting weight was 234.5lbs. Long story short, 8 weeks later I am 196lbs. Nothing happens overnight my ass. I lost close to 40lbs. in 8 weeks. 8 weeks!!!! Yes, discipline and dedication could have made this happen, just not in 8 weeks. Not to mention eating roughly 1800 calories a day. Adrian knows what he's doing. The plan he puts you on isn't a generic plan he just dishes out to everyone. We are all different and require different routines. His attention to detail and his passion to see you do better is insane. This is more than just a paycheck for him. This is more than just losing weight, or bulking up. This is a way of life. Where do i start?? The first time I met Adrian, I was tired of my body and tired of feeling dejected. When Adrian took an hour to just listen to my struggles with weight loss and learn about my habits, I knew that I had found someone who could potentially help me in making a positive change in my health. Over the years, I have made several half-hearted attempts at losing weight; these included monitoring my diet through Weight Watchers, joining the gym, signing up for dance classes, etc., but I never stuck through with any for more than a few months. I was often deterred because I never saw any results. After going through a bad year of constant health issues, I really wanted to find a personal trainer that could help me on my journey to being healthy. Working with Adrian has been more than wonderful, I feel so accomplished and confident! The fact that I've stuck with him for two years now is a real testament to his skill and expertise. Adrian is so patient in coaxing me into making small changes in my routine and my diet. And if I fail, it's no big deal because there is always tomorrow to try again. After working with Adrian for the past 6 months, I am finally eating and exercising according to my bodies needs. From a young age, I had been wrapped up in fad dieting, eating minimal food, and doing extreme amounts of cardio. When I wasn't following these unhealthy practices, I felt guilty enjoying a meal at a restaurant or having drinks with friends.
