Apparently, they cleaned up their act, judging from other reviews. Highly organized, lots of variety, and we found very good bargains here. It looks strange on the outside, but personnel were helpful, and there was an enormous amount of inventory, all where it should be. Truly, this is one of the best we've been to in Arizona. If you enjoy going to different Goodwill stores in the Valley to experience the uniqueness of each store, inventory, etc., just know this one is not one of their nicer locations. It starts with a sketchy parking lot. Poorly maintained, trashy, etc. The store itself is not kept clean. Accepted inventory is poorer in quality than what other Goodwill stores accept and stock. Employees are 'okay', but the employees at other Goodwill stores seem to care more and are nicer overall. read more

Love Goodwill Thrifting! We came to checkout all the deals today. I am excited to get an additional 25% off for being a teacher on Sundays, off of other tag colors. Today was also 50% off purple tags. The shelves and racks are packed and pretty clean isles. Nice selection. Fair prices. The parking lot is huge so parking is a synch. I found a lot of good deals today. Our cashier was awesome! Very friendly, fast, and helpful to make sure I received a discount with my teacher badge. He was wearing a 2025 grad t-shirt so we chatted about him being ready to graduate and do some traveling after school. Only downside to this location is no changing rooms, and it gets really dark in the parking lot at night, because they have zero lighting. That was a little freaky. I never thought that a thrift store could be the catalyst for a life-changing transformation, but oh boy, was I wrong! Goodwill, you have truly given me superpowers! It all started when I stumbled upon a dusty, vintage record player at Goodwill. I had been struggling with depression and anxiety, feeling like I was stuck in a rut with no way out. But as soon as I plugged in that old record player and started listening to the vinyls, something magical happened. The music transported me to a different world, and I felt my worries melting away. Came here saw a cool little 1 gallon fish tank was marked at $9.99 I was like okay not bad nice. Went up to the front and this woman kinda was just lookin at it and she goes "this was $15 the other day." I was like okay well, it's got a $9.99 sticker on it, are u accusing me of tryna pull a fast one on ya or.. and she goes "I don't know, people do that" and we're standing there awkwardly and then she charges me $15. Like overrides the sale. And I was like okay that's fine, I'll pay the extra $5 whatever. But it's not about the $5 is it, it's about the principle. This store specifically has been boof from day 1, and continues to shaft customers anyway they see fit. If it has a sticker on it that says one number it's subject to change if the part timer at the register thinks it should be worth more. Badwill. read more

i felt highly disrespected from the manager of this store and i will never shop here again they profiled me from the second my lady and i walked jnto the store. all because we have tattoos all over our bodys. we are very well dressed highly respectful and i leave my cart on a isle for literally 15 seconds and this manager comes and takes my cart and takes it to the front of the store so when i realized it i asked him if somebody had mistakenly took my cart and he responds that nobody had taken my cart and plain out ignores the fact that i just had a bunch of stuff in my cart and that i had literally just left it for 15 seconds and now it was gone. i asked multiple employees if by chance they had seen my cart and they all responded that nobody had seen my cart. so my lady and i continue walking around the store tryjng to fjnd our cart only yo find out that they had taken it all the way to the front of the store and parked it there knowing whos cart it was. for absolutely no reason what so ever so i confronted him again and all the sudden he proceeded to say ohh it was a accident...all the sudden he remembered that he had taken my cart for absolutely no reason....this made me feel highly uncomfortable and not want to continue to shop in the store knowing that we where being profiled in the store as some low life pieces of sh** excuse my language for absolutely no reason at all...highly disrespectful and embarrassing....again i will never shop in this store again and i will make sure that everyone i know that likes going to goodwill makes sure that they bypass this store not to come here for what a joke the employees working here are...thankyou for reading have a great day. god bless you all.. read more

Just went in to buy three items waited 20 minutes in line! The checker called for help at check stand 5 and an employee showed up but didn't turn on her light! I waited patiently in line and she said the line was closed as she was ringing up an employee! Really bad customer service! I don't recommend this location! read more

Boo hoo the employees don't kiss my butt. Just for all the1 star ratings and the negative insulting comments about employees, some using names others using insults to discribe them. I will rate the 5 stars. Because the Goodwill does really wonderful things for people maybe during a tough time in their life. You go there for the prices and unique items. Shut up about the service. They didn't greet you? Oh no. Didn't tell you bye? Why don't you say goodbye first, help them out. Maybe they're new to customer service and nervous, insecure, anxiety. It definitely dies t help when rude customers are running around acting irritated and annoyed towards them. They're prices are astronomical! $19 to $30 for decent shirts. They're selling ratty looking shoes for $20 to $30! And the store smells like dirty feet and body odor. Clothing has tons of stains. Really disgusting. And they're clothes are given to them for free. I would never step foot in another Goodwill again read more

I came here on a whirlwind tour of Valley secondhand stores on Saturday. It was a fun day; we stayed out of the rain (while still enjoying the drizzle), we got some really neat items, and we spent very little money in the process. My husband, our baby girl and I stopped in here as we were headed home and I'm really glad we did. While this Goodwill was also running a 50% off everything promotion, it was still well stocked with a respectable selection of merchandise and the employees were all working furiously to keep the aisles clear, and the shelves organized and re-stocked. I was also able to score a BRAND NEW Vick's humidifier and a picture frame for under $5, out the door. This wouldn't seem like a great find normally, but I had needed a new hot steam humidifier, and I always feel ripped off for paying about $20 for one at Walgreen's. And the picture frame was a really fortuitous find because I just happened to need a picture frame that had four, vertical, 4x6 photo openings and a mat, all without any silly phrases (FAMILY, Sister=Best Friend, I luv my dogs, that kind of crap) painted on the frame itself. Do you know how hard it is to find a frame like that, that meets those requirements? Pretty darned hard. In fact, right before Christmas I spent about an hour online looking for just that kind of 4x6 frame and the only thing I found that was even remotely close was about $52 and the color was all wrong. This was a very lucky find all for $2. YAY! Anyway, I had a good experience here. It was one of the better ones. PS: They had a huge sofa sized painting of an overly dramatic starkly feminine face that looked almost like Pete Burns (from Dead or Alive) in full drag makeup. It was utterly fabulous, and if I'd been in the mood for an 80's rock icon sofa painting, that sucker would have been MINE! In fact, it might still be there. HURRY! read more

I used to go to Goodwill all the time to look for Board Games (I am a collector) and I thought that a brand-new Goodwill would be a good place to look. And, well, I was really disappointed. What I found were games thrown together with toys haphazardly on top of clothing racks. It was reminiscent of what I might see at an older location where the employees no longer care that uncontrolled brat children have torn into everything and destroy the toy aisle while mommy shops. On top of that, what happened to the prices? I used to be able to go to Goodwill and get a laundry basket for two bucks tops, but when I found one at this location it was marked $9.99. I could buy a new one for less! This is just one example of many things I found horribly mispriced. I know the second-hand thing has become trendy as of late, but whoever is handling the pricing over there has clearly lost their mind. I prefer Savers now. read more

I went to this store during it's first week. Very spacious and big. I mainly shop for clothes and purses. This one seemed to have better quality stuff but the prices were marked up compared to other goodwills. I don't look at the price til I'm ready to buy because it's usually under ten buck for whatever I'm getting. The pants I wanted were $15.99! I could go to walmart or anywhere I can get NEW pants for that price. The purses were marked up as well. I've only been there twice hoping the price was just for the grand opening. Some things are normally priced but I was dissapointed. I may return if I'm in the neighborhood... read more

This store is big and pretty clean. They did have a good selection of housewares but nothing great. I noticed the things I did pick up were overpriced. I must have been there about the same time as the other girl because I also saw the vintage desk for $130. It was probably worth that price but inside an antique store not GW. I looked at clothes and since it was $1 day I imagine most of the good stuff was gone because all I found was blah. I did however make a small purchase that day for a beat up easel with a chalk board and white board. It just needs a little love and my son will be in heaven. The store was packed full of hipsters so I guess this is a trendy hipster shop. I don't think I will go back here. read more

Some very rude worker just asked me to leave the store without any explanation. i had a full cart of clothes and was minding my business while shopping, didn't run into anybody or talk to anybody. got in line for the dressing room, and that's when she asked me to leave and said go. We called the store and asked to speak to the manager. The manager put her on the phone and we asked why we were kicked out, she said "we have the right to kick anybody out without cause". She also was very very rude at the end and said" have a great day sweetie" in a very sarcastic tone. And then rudely interrupted me and hung up. overall, I had a terrible experience. The manager is awful and the workers are even worse. No one should step foot in that store read more

Let's see...where to start... Organized...check! Friendly...check! This is the ONLY location of the many in which I have been that had new area rugs! They might have been the six by six or eight by eight. Anyway brand new and taped. Interestingly, I also found their selection of jackets and coats to be better than m/any other GW's in the area. Too bad I wasn't looking for one! As winter has rolled into the Valley of the Sun, I was happy to see that they had a nice selection of long-sleeve, upscale blouses of many colors. Because I only had 20 minutes, it was easy...very easy to quickly pick up something because the women's section was well-organized. But since I was looking for kitchen items, I headed to that section first. I wasn't disappointed, but I didn't find that for which I was looking (glass cutting board, ramekins and torch---yeah, right). I would surely visit again. read more

I've been in this Goodwill location about 4 times and have never found anything worth purchasing. This one is overpriced too. Used stuff that is priced higher than new. The cashiers here all have attitudes whether it's on the phone or face to face. The store manager Scott was unhelpful, and constantly said things were sold that weren't in fact sold yet. And he told me there were no holds, while two people put their names on items and left the store with the items still on hold. I understand giving the homeless and addicts a second chance by employing them, but someone should teach this location better customer service skills and not to put your nose up at the guests. You never know who you're inadvertently judging. read more

Parking lot is a bit small but your typical goodwill. I love going on Thursdays, $1 days! They pick a certain tag color and no matter what the item is (Besides food, new and seasonal) it is only a buck! This is a new Goodwill location that just opened up in May of 2012. The store is still kept clean and surprisingly it smells good, they use air fresheners. Prices are marked good for used items unlike some other locations. All items I looked at were in good condition with out major damage. This location is good for clothing items and small items. Lots of great purses also. Not a lot of furniture here yet but there is plenty of room for storing them once the location gets a little more well known. read more

The items get picked over pretty quick at this location almost as if the regulars are on a call list! There are still some treasures to find so go in and take a shot at finding a gem! The staff I found to be about as much help as other Goodwills, they do enough to just stay employed, I guess. Was just in and after waiting a long while at the jewelry counter someone finally asked if I needed help (several other customers had given up by then). Looked at a knife/saw set and after doing a little research online to figure out what the knife was for I decided against buying it. I asked to see a pan and went to learn a little about it to see if it would be good for cooking that I do and if it was actually good quality. The lady behind the counter did not want to give me the time to learn while seeing the pan in front of me to decide whether to buy it and told me just to come back if I wanted to purchase it, putting it back where it was. I've never been given great service here but when I finally get someone to help I've always been given the time to learn what I needed to make a decision (and have bought a great deal from here in the past). Will never come back to this store and I don't recommend anyone else coming here either. read more
