This newest location is a lovely addition at the top of Waialae Ave as I patiently watched it being built loved how it turned out as you make a left on Koko Head Ave, there is a drive thru to conveniently drop off your donations which takes you straight out to Wilhemina Rise and just to the left you'll see a parking area where there are a few dedicated stalls for you to park and shop in Goodwill. Rhea Lana's is the nation's children consignment place that holds events is 25 states and guess what we have one right here in Hawaii and was coincidentally held in the former Toy r us location in Pearl City. I was just taken aback of how much inventory they had!Very neat and organized all sorted with clear signage for all things for kids like clothing, shoes, toys, furniture, books and even accessories for mom like bags and bottles. They took all six pieces for $47.50. I was happy. I gave it to my husband so he could buy our lunch with it. Someone mentioned in a review that they might discount your purchase if you sold clothes. Maybe I misunderstood because they don't. I bought two sweatshirts. My daughter wanted a BLACKPINK 2022 tour sweatshirt and I got what was tagged as All in Motion (Target brand?). No clue since the actual sweatshirt had no tags on it. It just looked like a well loved, favorite hoody with no logo. Got both for $20. Everyone was pleasant enough. Overall it was a pleasant experience. You can't be offended if they don't take your clothes. Don't expect this to be a money making venture. Just think of it as an alternative to donating your clothes. If they take it, great. If they don't, then drop it off at Goodwill, Savers or Salvation Army. If you want to make money then list it on Mercari.

As I try to condense and pare down and accept the unwanted items that are still in good condition and see if I'm able to find a better home that someone will love and not putting in the landfill. Plato's Closet is a great way to do so as they will purchase your items though mind you they are pretty full so are now pretty selective with your items. Many are targeted for teens and younger crowds with that are searching for specific brands and styles. The process is easy you check in with your iD and information and wait until you see your name on the chalkboard to which they will go over with the items they have chosen and you do still have the option to sell your items to them on this visit they seem to have wanted my eco bags which I had a bunch that they now are still in excellent condition along with some shoes. If you do find items there as well the money you receive from them items you just sold will go into a discounted price which makes it a win win in these situation and not filling the landfill with items that could have been avoided. When we first arrived they had us fill out covid waivers and questionnaires and they took our temperature. The place was a decent size so we could socially distance! Me and two others volunteered for about 2 hours and were able to help out with gift wrapping! They provided all the necessary supplies and gave us clear instructions. They even had a station for us to wash our hands after. The only negative thing is that when we arrived it was a bit hard to find parking. I highly recommend volunteering at HUGS, it's a great opportunity to support an important cause! :)
