I stop in here now and again and have taken some family here to shop. It's a convenient location and had ample parking. Like all other Goodwills they have long removed their fitting rooms and front entry donation drop boxes. To make a donation you have to use the drive up lane. The store is clean and pretty organized. Just when you think prices couldn't get any higher.....they sky rocket. Come on lady you guys get the stuff for free. Just because you heard some people buy, refurbish and resell you raise the prices and penalized the public consumers. I think all of us should boycott the goodwill in maple grove and show them we don't need them. She has tripled. Her prices in the last month. Come on, let's show her it's the customers that make or break that store and stop shopping there until she comes to her senses. read more

Pam is a rude cashier here. I asked where the fitting rooms are and I was told there are none, fine. As I turned to walk away she said loudly (and in front of other customers) "don't take merchandise in the bathroom!" Later when paying for my items she kept throwing them over my hands (I was folding as she scanned) I eventually just stopped folding. After I paid we both stood there awkwardly, I was waiting for her to bag my items and she seemed uninterested in doing so. She finally crudely crammed everything into a single bag. Majorly micro aggressive individual. What a miserable person! As mentioned: no dressing room and a silly return policy, so shop at your own discretion! Compared to the nearby goodwill, this one was severely overpriced. Silver jeans here are tagged at $20+, while I found a few pairs at the goodwill just 10 mins away for $9. Jackets and other items were also overpriced! Might as well wait for a good sale at a department store. Lastly, see photos. Nearly all jackets and coats had the tags written on. I don't see why the workers would do this. And I do mean almost every single one, so this isn't an instance of the donated clothes being turned in this way. The two stars are for the store being neat and clean. Despite the high prices and some merch being damaged with their tagging, I love the hunt and would have returned, but I don't tolerate such ugly behavior so I'll pass on returning to this store. read more

This is a smaller Goodwill than the average store, but I've found some nice things there. Prices are a little high for a thrift store, but I like that they have specials every day on specific colored tags. Store was clean and somewhat orderly. Dressing rooms are a good size. Large parking lot with free parking. The staff members I encountered were Friendly! read more

Okay selection but outrageous pricing for items they get given for free. Many items are purposely not tagged and when they run into the back to do a price check once you're at the check out a simple tee shirt suddenly has a $30.99 tag on it - what? The staff is not very friendly either. read more

Can't beat Toddler Thursdays 50 % off sales. I have found so many items that were either barely used or brand new. All the tags with yellow, blue or green are 50% off. The red ones are Target , Carter's rejects most likely priced fixed- these are usually brand new with the tags. This location has a decent selection of kids clothes. Shelves of old VHS movies- always the same titles- different location. Clean Well organized Friendly Staff. Just wish they would have more than one person checking people out. read more

All I have to say is this: Thanks rich suburbanites! So far, I've found the thrift stores in the Twin Cities to be pretty lacking, or mediocre at best. Either the selection is thin or they charge too much. Then I was introduced to the Maple Grove Goodwill. It's located in one of those asphalt jungle of ugly box stores, but don't let that fake-stucco/poured-concrete look deter you from walking in. Prices are typical of what you would find at other Goodwills, but they have premium stuff. The first time I went, they had a lot of kitchen goods and appliances that were new or pretty new looking. The last time I went, they had some ice tea makers. Kind of a ridiculous item, but the pitcher was a nice, heavy glass so buying it just for that would still be worth it. Browsing through the purses, I found a Coach bag, the classic kind they made before they got all trendy. And then I found another. And then another. I ended up with a black leather crossbody from Coach. It was marked at $14.99 but I got it for $8.99. Old lady-style, here I come! Clothes selection is generally good and really orderly. Employees are surprisingly nice. Shoes, as usual, are the one section I Do Not Touch, along with Underthings. Why buy used underwear, people? I knew a girl who did this. Target sells them for cheap! Furniture section changes quickly. I am still kicking myself for sleeping on a pair of cool white lamps I saw on my first visit. You can get some solid wood desks, if you have the means to take them home. There are always people milling around for good deals, but there's always room for one more, so get your ass over there! read more

This certainly is one of the nicest Goodwill in the Cities. I dont buy and wear used clothes that often, so whenever I go to thrifting, I will dig the hardest to find new clothes with tags on them. This goodwill location really meets my expectation. Ive visited this goodwill several times, and have scored so many good items. This goodwill has so many brand-new clothings with tags on, decent selections of nice-looking used furnitures, decent selections for kitchen items, kid toys, and so many books. Ive gotten myself a few brand new sun dresses. My bf moved to his new apt last year, and I got him an incredibly nice looking wooden microwave stand for 15 bucks, when we later saw that exact same item at IKEA. He also got himself a very good condition four-seat dining set for only 35 bucks. He only wanted to use the dining set temporarily before he got a nice brand new set, but after a year, the dining set from goodwill is still in a great condition. Overall, a very nice goodwill with great selections of goodies. read more

Even though I don't do a lot of shopping here, I find myself taking a quick peek almost every time I go to Maple Grove. At times I have left with hand fulls of books from my various favorite authors. They have a very good selection and I rarely walk out of there with no books at all. The paperbacks usually range from .99 to $1:99 and hardbacks cost $2.99. The store has the typical thrift store scent, but they do keep it very well organized throughout. Now is the time to keep a watchful eye out for the next years " Ugly Christmas Sweaters " For the parties that request that you wear one. Good luck with that as they are getting harder and harder to find. If you do read a lot though, I highly encourage you to stroll through and pick up some books at much better then book store prices. read more

Stopped in this morning and was pleasantly surprised with how CLEAN and ORGANIZED this location was! Staff was very friendly, helpful, and kind. I was also very happy with the household selection, everything was in good condition. Not really any "junk." Disappointed in the amount of shoe selections though. One of the better Goodwills I've been to! the place is clean and well organized. Workers were walking around welcoming me and asking if I had any questions. The workers were frequently putting in new arrivals or putting tried on clothes back. The quality of the products is good, however the prices are some of the highest I've seen at any Goodwill before. I did get good stuff from here, but I paid a lot for the few items I got. I had a coupon and was hoping to use it, but the cashier said it wouldn't scan and so she wouldn't give it to me or call over a manager. I'm not sure if I will return or not due to the outrageous prices for already worn/second hand clothes. read more

If your in the mood for browsing (which I'm usually not!), this is a great place to go. The stuff is dirt cheap - literally. It just so happened that I stopped in on a Thursday, Toddler Thursday to be exact, and ALL the kids stuff was 50% off! I loaded up on shirts & shoes that were nearly brand new for like a $1.00 a piece. Pretty sweet if you ask me :) read more

I actually prefer the other maple grove location, this store has always seemed rather disorganized and chaotic. The location has an electric car charging station right outside I use frequently. Can usually find some good stuff though at either maple grove location, and they've been working hard on the long wait lines at check out recently. Much improved. read more
