The entire store is more monochromatic in terms of product designs/ concepts/unique creativity. The buyers are good but not excitingly wonderful anymore. There was no service at the St Paul Highland store. A tall gentleman was aloof, just "there" to check out... Sad.

It's my hope that people continue to provide them with new and gently used clothes, homewares, makeup, haircare, and other goods that help people feel like the wonderful people of our community that they are. Everyone deserves some time away to shop for the things they need or better yet, the things they want, for themselves or their friends or family. Please give to this organization and drop in to see what they are all about. A store that operates for free for people to "buy" what they need and feel human, when so many people make them feel second class...this is a model many other organizations should adopt.

I love the concept of being able to have a dignified shopping experience for those in need hence why I chose JC to donate to. But I am disheartened by the reviews I am reading from folks in the community as I am biracial myself and have a biracial family. I truly hope that a Christian based non profit is not discriminating against people of color or mistreating those that are in need. I encourage you to listen to those expressing their experiences and concerns and for JC to do better moving forward.

It tends to be pretty busy on the weekends though, so consider that. Additionally, everytime I am here, I find myself waiting in line to check out for quite awhile, they usually seem pretty under staffed in that area. To my…read moresurprise, Back Pocket Vintage caught my eye and I had the pleasure of learning a little bit more about the shop after speaking with owner, Ally. Previously founded in 2022, the shop has recently moved to West Saint Paul and is conveniently located next to Backstory Coffee and Wabasha Brewery. Back Pocket specializes in being an all inclusive shop carrying all sizes including plus sizes. In addition, donations for store credit trade are readily available with staff and if anyone needs clothing, Back Pocket is willing to help with no questions asked. Lastly, home decor and furniture exist as well. Come support this business and make a day out of it since there's a ton of cool spots nearby. So much more than clothes (shoes, purses, hats, decor) I came for the Fat Bodies Clothing Swap, intending merely to donate a bunch of gentle-to-used clothing in bigger sizes. Well, after a nice talk with Jenice (a true rainbow gem!) I took a stroll through the offerings & found a bunch of EXCELLENT, exclusive pieces that I could not live without!
