This store had ever changing inventory and is very reasonably priced, which is more than I can say about other thrift store nearby. I found the inventory to be a bit smaller than stores like Salvation Army Store and Savers. LThat said there are still lots of pros. - Lots of vintage decor. Upon entering you'll find of a variety of vintage items (not just second hand) to the left of registers. There were jugs, soda bottles, spice jars, figurines, and more. - If you're looking for Christian books, or audio, there are lots. What I like about the book session is that everything is shelved in alphabetical order. I don't see that at other second hand stores. -Speaking of books there's a small section of vintage books. Whether you're looking for something to read or just to use as decor. Many are pretty, leather bound, and with metallic ink on the spine. -There was a good selection of lamps and furniture, but the home decor section was a little basic. I didn't check out the clothes. A big con for me was how narrow the aisle are. There's no way to pass someone with a cart, if you happen to have one as well. I would definitely return. Oof, I'm not sure if I stopped here on a bad day or what but my experience here wasn't super great. Upon entry the place smelled like an old folk's home (later I realized someone was cleaning the bathroom so there may have been an accident), it was bad and the place was super crowded and cramped. I was able to peek through the dresses and there were a lot of good items. A kind lady asked for my opinion on one she picked out, very sweet. Just not for me. read more

Every single worker that's been there when I've dropped items off have been above and way over their kindness, hospitality, and just making you feel so grateful for the things that we happen to bring to drop off even if it's just a few items. Yes, the hours are limited because the volunteer staff are mostly retirees. The clothing section is not as big as other thrifts, but the prices are incredible. Most sweaters and shirts are $3.49. Large book and craft sections. Tons of furniture, artwork, antiques and holiday decor. read more

First time visiting! Most of the staff are very friendly, some are not. The store is a little small for how much stuff they have it in. It's great that they have a lot of stuff and it's all reasonably priced, but they have 2 checkout counters and lines can get long. Im giving them 3 stars because the checkout lady was rude to us and other customers and they close early at 3pm. When it came to be 3pm (We had no idea they closed at 3pm, there were no visible signs) they shut off the lights and didn't give a reason why. I kindly suggested at the checkout "you should give an announcement 10 minutes before you're closing so we can have a heads up and get in line!" To which she replied rudely "I gave 6 warnings over the speaker and no one listened!" She went on to say we're done and closed at 3 we should've got in line earlier. That rubbed us the wrong way since ourselves and others did not hear a single message over the speaker. That was a turn off for us and we don't think we would go back. read more

At least 11 out of my dad's 12 blenders have come from this thrift store. It's a place that just seems to encourage you to buy another one of XYZ. And maybe another. But this one is so nice, maybe I'll get another one. You won't find much in the way of clothing or trend items here--but you will find some funky retro pieces (that I SWEAR will look good in your living room in another 10 years as everyone oohs and ahhs and wonders where you picked up that genuine gold-trimmed 1970's floral-and-paisley couch). This is definitely one of the least predictable thrifting spots. One day, you're buying a solid oak armoire (in our bedroom thankyouverymuch) and the next day it's all blenders all the time. This place is a great little thrift store...but shhhh...don't tell anyone about it...I want to keep it a secret little hidden gem just for myself.. ;) They have a great selection of furniture and other misc household wares & I was amazed at how reasonable everything was priced! I did definitely get a "grandma's house" vibe from their merchandise, but I'm not sayin' that's a bad thing...I'm just sayin'... I have only been here once & it was right at the cusp of closing time (their hours are not ideal - but heck - it's staffed by volunteers - so I guess I shouldn't complain). It's not a destination spot, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood it's always worth checking out. This isn't either one of those hip little retro places that only carry stuff that is certified cool or one of those giant places with a warehouse feel. It's a medium sized quiet place staffed by silver-haired church volunteers. But oh the treasures those church ladies serve up! I never know exactly what I'll find here and I like it that way. Will it be some books? A 70's napkin holder so out it's in? A refrigerator that plugs into your car's cigarette lighter? Come on admit it, you need that Nordic Track. read more

One of my favorite thrift stores to get furniture and other "big ticket items". The prices are ideal and they are money goes to a good cause. I would not travel here if you wanted the latest "in" item, but I would go here if you just moved into an apartment or house and need some cheap basic items. I would describe the items as more old fashion and it is items you could find at Grandmas. I keep going back and sometimes I do find some pretty sweet things! read more

I've shopped at Bibles a few times and have always come away with a special treasure. The very first time I walked in the door, I saw a Norman Rockwell book, that I just had to have. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up, to find four, perfect condition, free photos of pictures, I can put in frames.! They are Freedom from Want, Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Fear and Freedom of Religion. I was and remain thrilled each time I look at them. Their prices are more than fair, and like others mentioned, purchases all goes to a good cause. So not only am I finding bargains, but I also am giving to others at the same time. (a beautiful armoire for $14.99, many puzzles from $0.79-$1.49) *Prices are GREAT! I'm cheap, so I really mean GREAT Prices! * Very organized! *Kind volunteers, happy to help you out * They accept donations and have lots of different days/time for dropoff * Thrift Store serves 'our community & the people of Bulgaria' (per their pamphlet) Possible Cons: Hours: M-F: 10am-5pm, Thursday nights til 8pm, Sat: 10am-3pm, Sun-CLOSED Not a large amount of clothing If you aren't religious, the 'talk' amongst the volunteers/music playing overhead might be a little much. We've been here several times and got an AMAZING framed picture--for $0.39..! That's not a typo! We've picked up brand new, sealed puzzle for $0.79! We picked up a brand new colorful throw (for our couch).. $4.99-- That's the most I've paid for anything there. Once in a while you can find good items but this place is packed all the time and picked clean. Lots of funiture and art framed pictures for home dec. Thats the best items. Poor clothing sections never much. All donated items nothing is purchased and never any sales. read more

I ran over to Bible Missions today after running another errand, as I knew they were only open until 3pm. There was a sign that said Christmas stuff was 75% off, found a set of angel salt pepper shakers, a plush girl reindeer, then another reindeer plush toy that plays "Santa Got Run Over By A Reindeer", also picked up a 2022 calendar, a set of Maxine Bookends, and a Disney Pixar Tow Mater Plush Stuffed Toy Truck. When everything was rung up, the price didn't seem right and then she said that the price was over $20, I said that seemed quite high, then she said well you bought a stuffed toy that was $12.99, I said no I didn't, and when she looked, she realized it was $2.99. "What the Hell" How many other people has this happened too? I paid, got out of there, came home and then realized I didn't get the 75% off the Christmas stuff like it said. Again, how many other people did they rip off? I like the stuff I got, but the workers are not checking the items, tags to make sure that buyers are getting discounts and are being charged the correct price. I love the bibles for missions and the people that work-volunteer there. ,however this store should help all not the antique dealers .I have been in there twice and see one of your workers go up to a lady (shes a regular) and "say i have "an item" for you,i put it in the back" goes and gets it and she buys it. come on now......thats not right . some of us would like to get a great deal too. I have seen this happen 2 times. there should be a rule about saving things for antique dealers,why can't she shop like the rest of us. If i see this happen i won't be a customer anymore. please talk to your employees. read more

These people need to read the Bibles that they are sending out to the mission field. They apparently cannot handle constructive criticism well. I received the wrong order. I ordered, "Songs For Praise & Worship, 253 of the Finest Praise & Worship songs." They erroneously send me, "Songs For Praise & Worship." For me, that was no problem. The problem came in communicating to the customer service rep. who told me that she would refer my case to the music rep. because she did not understand my email. I told her that this case did not need a music expert, and all she needs to do send me the book in the picture that I attached. They explained that books often come in different covers, but this was not just a different cover but also a different book. I constructively told them that to advertise that they have a book that they clearly did not have looks like false advertising. They did not like that and they accused me of being tough on them. I did indicate that I did not intend to be nasty but clear. They told me that they did not have that book and that they would credit me. To me, credit means that you are going to give me credit for another purchase. This is the only reason I told them that I did not intend on buying anything else from them or I would have kept that statement to myself. Intentional nastiness is not a part of my constitution but clarity is. The final email from them was clearly intended to insult me, the customer, and here it is: from Dave BFM "If you are a Christian, I would rather deal with unbelievers. Lets discontinue communications. dave bfm". My response to him was this: "It proves my point. God bless you." I did not lose an ounce of sleep over this. However, it does sadden me to think that this kind of thing exists in a faith that hold dear. I owned a company and one of my employees sent this to a customer, it would be time for some counseling. read more

Since I have the good fortune to live about two blocks from this shop, I'm able to stop in quite frequently. It really is a gem as another reviewer said. My wife and I have found some amazing bargains, to wit: a bread machine in the original box with the original plastic wrapping for $16.95; a wood serving cart for $5; a Braun hand blender with veggie chopper attachment for $9.95; and numerous sweaters and coats for an average of about four bucks! They often have very good furniture options. One time I as in and saw a 42" round oak table ca. 1925 with two leaves for $99.95!!! If we had had room, we would have bought it right there and then, but we couldn't. They were also selling six oak pressback chairs with beautifully carved backs for $10 each. These were all in immaculate condition, including the table. In a regular antique store, you would have paid an easy $700 for the table and probably $100 for each chair. The selection varies, of course, but the prices are always very, very low and most of the merchandise is in very, very good condition. It is, I think, the best thrift store I've ever been in anywhere. Highly, highly recommended! read more

For 2 weeks I called trying to get them to do a pick up from my mothers estate for furniture some of the stuff almost new. first was told they had people out side and backed up 2 weeks I called back told that wasn't the truth that its volunteers and need to keep calling back than I get told we don't set up appointments we just show up. Even when I explained I don't live there and its a lot of good stuff they didn't want to help its a shame since instead of the trash I wanted it to be put to good use and they obviously don't help people if they wont even take donations... Poorly run horrible management should be ashamed to say they help others. read more
