Diverse merchandise. Good for men and women. Mostly prices quite reasonably. Worth a look.

Review Highlights - St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store

48 Obviously every trip to a charity shop is a treasure hunt, but I think the clientele that must donate here all may come from well-to do families because there were some really great things.

I highly recommend making a shopping date with friends and then hitting coffee afterwards. Bonus: Flying Pig is typically open until 6 pm and Ginkgo 8 pm!! Flying Pig Thrift is staffed primarily by volunteers and everyone is beyond kind. Community resources are available onsite via a bulletin board and the shop supports 3 main non-profit groups. Within the dressing area room, there was a flyer supporting mental health resources and I smiled when I saw it. There are a wide variety of items that shift seasonally and frequently. Items are fairly priced and there are often sales, half price item days and even a permanent sale section in the back. I was really excited to score a denim button up with funky colorful bird designs, a cute yellow bee kind sweatshirt along with a black Nike top. In addition to clothes, there are shoes, cards, jewelry, some handcrafted art, home decor, hospital scrubs, board games, records, magazines and more. Thank you Flying Pig Thrift! I appreciate your mission and service towards the Saint Paul area.

I tried to park here during the Little Canada citywide garage sales - they have a huge parking lot and it was empty before they opened - I got a good stink eye from an employee walking in and someone else came out to tell us we had to move even before we left the car - aight, should have parked in back where you wouldn't have noticed.... Anyway, after we were done saleing - we did come back to dig through this place and I loved it. Prices are extremely low and there are plenty of good things to find! I bought some things just because of the price (do I really need two pictures of chickadees in heart shaped frames? Or a toy dragon? Or a puzzle? Or a mug with vegetables on it? Of course not!) I also found some really cute booties - I would love to go back and spend more time someday!

The men's clothing selection was fairly average, while the women's section felt stronger with more variety. They also carry some home goods, though there are almost no electronics if that's what you're looking for. There is not an endless amount of merchandise so don't show up with specific items to buy. The prices were good for everything they had and the staff was very friendly! Note: There are no fitting rooms so be warned.

I've been very curious about the store because it had been receiving a lot of hype. I am very glad I stopped in and will be doing so again in the future. NIne lives is a small but well stocked thrift store with a wide range of women's sizes. Their selection is well organized, and well curated. It doesn't have the funky smell one runs into sometimes with thrift stores. I found a number of cute items. Unfortunately, none of them fit, but the selection was good enough that I want to stop again. Thrift stores are always hit and miss, so it's nice to have one that is so well organized. Great job!

The colors of the shop speak vibrant energy from the disco ball to the hot pink logo. As a gal who prefers thrifting, I know that I can now count on adding this shop into my rotation. Why? The color sorting and giant array of sizes was my selling point. Hooray for having not just a few large items or XXL but a plethora. From pants to skirts to shoes to jewelry, this place has it all. I sized up a little today and everything fit perfect even 2 swimsuits which is something that has never happened in my life. The owner, Roxanne, was a delight to speak with and informed me that many of the swimsuits were basically new as she purchased them from another thrift shop and didn't believe they were worn. The value is unbelievable where a majority of the swimsuits were coming in at a whopping $4 per piece. You cannot beat this place and I look forward to my return. Thank you!!

I have been a loyal customer since 2019, purchasing multiple items every-time I visit! Unfortunately, this past visit, there was a sweater in the window display that was my size and well-priced. When I asked the sales associate, who was the only person working during this time, if I could purchase the sweater in the display window, she informed me that their policy restricts them from removing clothes in the display window because "it is too difficult to take the sweater off of the mannequin." She informed me that I should come back at a later date when they swap out the clothing in the display window to purchase the sweater. I informed her that I was from out of town and my return flight was before that date. She told me that they could ship it, which I'm sure I would have to pay the shipping costs on, even though I was already in-person at the store. I am not sure if this is a real policy or not, but if it is a real policy, they should really consider removing this and making the mannequins for accessibly. Unfortunately they lost my business and will lose my business in the future. Best of luck!
