Wow, such a fun shop to poke around in! I've come in twice now: once with a friend during a thrift weekend, and once before eating at Hazel's across the road. There's always something to find here! There's a lot of vintage, secondhand clothing here - and nothing is boring. Think bold colors and patterns, quirky designs, and out-there materials. Statement pieces for sure! There are certainly some staples as far as accessories and footwear goes, too. But much of the accessories are quirky and unique: think doll hands for earrings kind of vibe! There's a decent amount of knick-knacks and giftables here as well, that are more local artisan made or new. The store can feel a bit overwhelming at first entrance, so take it by section and putz with an open mind. Rewind is a super cute store with a TON of inventory. They have jewelry, knickknacks (new & vintage), clothes, & lots of accessories. Everything was really cute & well-displayed, which made shopping a breeze. The staff were also really helpful, especially since most of the jewelry is in cases. As far as vintage stores go, I thought the prices were really reasonable (Coach purses for around $70 & tiny hair clips for $3), so that's refreshing! All in all, I would absolutely recommend this spot & it will be come one of my favorites to come back to :) read more

Very nice store...but I wouldn't call it a vintage store. Definitely has some great picks of unique items: jewelry, sweaters and sweatshirts, and lots of pants. I've been coming to Rewind Vintage for years for accessories. They have some of the most unique earrings, pins, necklaces, rings, etc. However, my biggest complaint is that they are not size-inclusive. They only go up to size XL, and since vintage commonly runs small, it usually fits as a large. Their main target customer are those size medium and below with no curves (no offense to those people, you do you). They also tend to get pretty expensive, even for contemporary pieces. With all that said, I only go shopping here for accessories, as those are worth visiting for. The people at the register can also be standoffish and rude, while others I've seen are more welcoming. NOTE: All sales are final. Note for those with movement issues: there is a single step to get inside, so heads up to those in wheelchairs. It can also get crowded on the weekends in the small store. Such a great selection of women's clothes! Lots of super fun stuff. Some things are new, many are not, VERY well curated. The prices are reasonable for a curated selection. Don't expect "good will" prices, the team has done a great job of picking out cool finds, so be prepared to pay for that. Lots of fun accessories too!! Now THIS is vintage. This place has it all - men's, women's, dresses, shoes, oddities, jewelry, trinkets...and it's all very well organized. The space is big so there's plenty of room to walk around, and cashiers were really nice. The prices seemed fair especially because the quality of everything I looked at was good. read more

A hidden gem of the twin cities vintage world! They have such impressive inventory and so much of it! When I went I got a green izod cardigan, some funky high waisted brown girbauds and some dope glass orange earrings. Lots of cool vintage jeans and I found some cool sweaters when I went. The annual 50% off sale is a must! The store has a great selection of curated items. Be prepared to spend some time sifting through the racks... lots of inventory is displayed! I found two tshirts for $28 total. Typically they are $28 each. Both shirts were vintage with tags so the price is reasonable. The sale also helped. The only downfall is some of the items are not vintage and are overpriced/cheap quality. Lots of jewelers and accessories fall into this category. Shop local!!! read more

I've just recently started checking out some local vintage stores in Minneapolis and Rewind Vintage did not disappoint. They have super cool pieces that you simply cannot find other places. They have an eye for selecting pieces that are fashion forward but vintage. I wish they had a larger selection of XL/plus size clothing, but I will be back to check as more fall clothes come in. I love Rewind! I stop in here about once every few months to see what they have in stock. I love their jewelry and have found really amazing and unique pieces here. Their denim selection is high quality and fairly priced considering what sellers attempt to charge on sites like Depop. I haven't had that much luck with t-shirts and sweatshirts here, but I could see their being a diamond in the rough somewhere. Totally recommend stopping in if your a vintage lover and looking to spend a little extra $ at a curated shop. read more

Omg! What an awesome vintage clothes and jewelry shop! My 17 year old and I wandered in after branching across the street at Hazels one Sunday. Normally I breeze in and out of vintage shops...mostly due to the musty smell but this place was lacking that particular odor that I abhor so much. It was nice to find it arranged by sizes and types of clothes. And I have to say, I am really impressed with the size of their guy selection too. They even had a small rack of little kids clothes. We were on a bit of time constraint so I didn't get to lollygag as long as I'd like. I still ended up walking out with two tops (which I was able to try on first in one of multiple dressing rooms) and some gorgeous filigree cut wood earrings. I will definitely be back and I have more time to search for some girly styles I just don't find in modern-day shops. read more

I love this thrift shop. It's like little treasure trove where you can find lightly worn apparel and accessories or even brand new home decor and local art. There's nothing like finding a one-of-a-kind piece that not every other person just bought from Target. Rewind has mostly women's clothing, but there is a men's section too. I've spotted amazing finds amongst their clothing, shoes, formalwear, home decor, accessories, and jewelry - which are all in great condition. Best of all, everything is very reasonably priced (ex: $15 blouse, $20 thick woven sweater)! The styles range from vintage to retro to contemporary. They also have fun little quirky things made by local artists... Like "$2 Boyfriends" and Steve Buscemi & Bowie prayer candles. Which I needed so badly. Other notes: There are dressing rooms. Awful customer service. I couldn't get anyone's attention for a simple question about how much an item costs. People kept ignoring me for whatever reason, perhaps they assumed that I wasn't going to buy anything. After a couple of minutes standing at the counter having folks pretend I didn't exist I get someone to respond . "Oh that's not for sale, we don't sell all of our nice antiques." Followed by a story about how they always get questions about the stuff in the front and how annoying it is when people ask. I was then met with a few more snide remarks and some weird elitist comments about how I need to thrift more to find good stuff like that. A simple "not for sale" sign would fix this problem. I find it extremely misleading that the storefront's populated with items that are not actually for sale. In the end, they were right though... I didn't buy anything. read more

I am not an experienced thrifter but when it comes to vintage shops, Rewind is the boss. I have been there many times and have always been dazzled by the wonderful merchandise they have. You can easily find anything in this gem of a store - from darling dresses (including my recently purchased ivory lace dress) to unique statement necklaces - they've got it all. I get extremely overwhelmed in unorganized stores and was expecting to feel anxious when first visiting this store but was pleasantly surprised to see neat throughout the great layout. If you are hesitant to dive into the world of thrifting - DON'T BE! You can find wonderful, one-of-a-kind pieces for any style. Rewind is perfect place for vintage experts and newcomers. Rewind Vintage was an awesome find while on a trip to Minneapolis. My friend's family members who live in the area hit up Rewind a few times a year and always find something cool and funky! I found an awesome vintage Calvin Klein bag for $30! I was in heaven with their extensive handbag collection....tons of older Coach bags. I also purchased the cutest drop crystal earrings ($7) and retro sunglasses for the low as well. Huge selection of fur, tons of velvet and corduroy. We spent well over an hour in here and easily could've spent the whole afternoon. TONS OF GREAT STUFF. Also, they have a men's section and it looked pretty legit! read more

This store is FULL of stuff. Like, too much stuff. There are literally no blank spaces on the walls, shelves, etc. They have a million pieces of jewelry which gets overwhelming to look at. They do try to organize what they have, but it's just too much. I like how they have the men's and women's sides separate. I did notice that everything they have is of good quality. They don't sell you junk. The lady working was VERY nice. Cleaning the store as I shopped which was nice to see since it wasn't busy. I didn't like the smell though in there though. It smelt like incense which I find kinda gross. I'll be back, but I'll be honest... it's not my favorite thrift/vintage shop. read more

Really cute place! Their covid procedures are really good and they only allow a handful of people in at a time; there is also hand sanitizer when you walk in. Reasonable prices for high quality vintage items as well as newer items. I bought a vintage embroidered button up shirt and it was only $14, which I would've had to pay $30 or more for at a Ragstock or similar. The employees are very nice and eager to help too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cute local vintage shop with modern touches. read more

The store owner was a bit frustrated when I asked a second time on the price of an item. I had driven down Johnson Street on the referral to this thrift store in hoping to find some cool vintage jewelry. Small storefront, small store and uncomfortably packed with only 4 shoppers and 2 employees. The clothing was priced at NEW prices (pants 12-20, dresses at 40+) and I was stoked to find an old ragged fox tail hanging like a keychain on the wall. "How much?" "Eh.... 40." My eyes nearly bugged out! I could buy a fox tail NEW at Spencers for 20 bucks, but she insisted it was humane. She was not interested in haggling and was offended at my suggestion for perhaps 30. I bought a cute ring for 10 and then asked to see a purse behind the counter but the woman barked at me that it was spoken for. She was perhaps having a bad day? Her attitude, the small, tight, spaces and high price has turned me away from shopping in this otherwise cute vintage shop. read more

I dig this shop. There is an assortment of gently used vintage and modern clothing, shoes and accessories. Both men's and women's. This business is independently owned and local. The owner collects items from various places, and brings them here to sell. That means the place is full of gems, not junk. My favorite items are the boots, shoes, sweaters and accessories. My purchases so far have included Minnetonka Moccasins (~$20 per pair), Dansko clogs (~$35 per pair), hair pin ($2), and a leather studded belt ($12). My next purchase is likely to be a pair of Frye boots and a couple cozy sweaters. Like I have already said, this place is full of gems! read more

My name is Annie D. and I'm a thrift-a-holic. Rewind is my enabler. For accessories, there is no better place than Rewind. They have an enormous selection. I like to imagine Rewind's owner diving into a pile of accessories like Scrooge McDuck, because that's pretty accurate. In fact, while I was shopping, Missy (who works there) told me that the owner has like, hoards of jewelry, purses and belts that don't fit in the store (possibly, nay, probably stored in a vault in Duckburg). Even with such a big, quality selection of accessories, shoes (mmm, BOOTS!) and clothes, Rewind is "user" friendly, in that you don't feel overwhelmed by junk in the store. Everything is displayed neatly and categorized intuitively, so you don't have to dig around for hours to find one thing you love (although, that can be satisfying sometimes). If you are a size 8.5 and LOVE you some boots...I suggest you check yourself and get yourself to Rewind, IMMEDIATELY. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for my wallet) I am not an 8.5. Otherwise, I could not have been trusted. There are so many in the 7-8.5 range, though! Instead I walked out with a sparkly pristine sweater and some costume earrings that'll certainly do the trick for a party I am attending tonight. Kapow! Vintage treasure trove. $25, done and done. Boots, purses, belts, piles and piles/racks and racks of jewelry and accessories. It's like a much hipper/happier Forever21. A wonderful hostess/owner, and enough glamour and nostalgia to sweep you off your feet and into a dreamworld where every boot fits and every vintage dress is in your size. Sighhhhh. That might not happen at Rewind, but you are sure to score a few fabulous duds that no other will be sporting. And for the love of God, someone go get those 8.5 sized vintage heeled brown leather, worn-to-perfection stitched cowboy boots on the top shelf against the dressing rooms. PLEASE. Someone needs them. "Go to Rewind Vintage" The post-it stuck on my desk for a week, reminding me daily about this store. Last Friday, I finally got the chance due to the fact that I got off a bit early. YAY summer Fridays! Rewind is just this really adorable, petite shop that's affordably priced. The store is super organized where everything is grouped not only by size BUT also by colour. It's like my OCD, anal bestie went to town here. The most amazing part of the shopping experience was definitely how clean AND odor-free it was. (If you've ever been to a vintage store, you'll know what I'm talking about) Each rack was organized very neatly: the men's section to the right, albeit not a large one and women's is the main area. There's a large selection of women's sunglasses and handbags... They are the usual aviators, "You got designer shades to cover your face" In the back, there's a rack for dresses, glitzy blouses, casual tees and button downs, dress pants, dress tops, and a little cozy alcove for shoes. My mouth watered for all the gorgeous dresses, all screaming at me to pick them up and bring them home with me. SO I did - I found a few cute 50s dresses. One thing to be aware of though is the clothing is more along the 60s onwards trends. The owner/ staff / girl who works there is really nice. She lets you browse at your own pace and also helps you find and gives you suggestions if you ask. + The music selection while browsing is awesome, I shopped to La Vie En Rose which sure hell beats those upbeat, top 40s! I could spend all day in Rewind and still not have seen every piece of jewelry. They also have a lot of great leather jackets and cute shoes. Some of the pieces are a little wild, but the variety is part of what makes this place so appealing. I bought a sequined butterfly top (yeah, you heard me right) that I'll probably be able to wear once in a blue moon, but I don' curr--it's awesome! My roommate had some luck here searching for an 80's style formal gown for our halloween costumes. The selection was pretty decent, although I'd say it was skewed to the more modern side of vintage (60s+). The pricing was pretty good; at least better than quite a few of the other vintage stores we visited. Somewhere midrange between Goodwill and, say, Via's. I'd give the store 3 stars itself because there wasn't anything really outstanding about the selection, but the gal who was working (perhaps the owner?) was helpful and checked in on us often and was really down with our costume idea, giving out additional suggestions and her own dress opinions. I think that certainly sets this store apart from most of the others that we tried. On a side note, after reading Jaymi's review... the sizing issue is dead on. In most of the stores we visited (B-squad, Blacklist, Lulas, etc), there was a pretty skimpy selection of clothing over size 8. Some stores do it by waist size rather than item size, which is helpful, but not entirely accurate either...(had no problem with some 28"s, but couldn't fit my fat ass into some 30"s) so I suppose the sizing is a crapshoot no matter which store. read more

Rewind carries a really high quality selection of vintage clothing and accessories. A big plus? Everything is really fairly (read: not as cheap as the Goodwill, but still not hitting the $25 mark for a shirt.) I also like that the clothes are all separated by size. The only complaint I have is that there isn't much for us large-and-in-charge ladies. I know the place is small and I know I should probably go on a diet but, still, it would be nice if there were a few more things available in larger sizes. read more

Rewind is my favorite little secret. Here, in this small store, I find all the best boots, tops, vintage dresses, killer sunglasses, and loads of jewelry at such reasonable prices. The owner, Sarah, is fantastic at finding just the right things that you're looking for and stocking the racks with it. The store is full of great clothes for both genders and it doesn't even smell like a vintage store! What a perk. I dare you to go and not find something that you fall in love with. It's nearly impossible. After you're hands are full with all your new fashion goodies, head over to Sarah Jane's bakery for a perfect donut or perhaps across the street to the Audubon Cafe for an espresso.
