Rewind is a super cute store with a TON of inventory. They have jewelry, knickknacks (new & vintage), clothes, & lots of accessories. Everything was really cute & well-displayed, which made shopping a breeze. The staff were also really helpful, especially since most of the jewelry is in cases. As far as vintage stores go, I thought the prices were really reasonable (Coach purses for around $70 & tiny hair clips for $3), so that's refreshing! All in all, I would absolutely recommend this spot & it will be come one of my favorites to come back to :)

Entryway w/ hours of operation. Note the step to get inside for those with wheelchairs.

I've been coming to Rewind Vintage for years for accessories. They have some of the most unique earrings, pins, necklaces, rings, etc. However, my biggest complaint is that they are not size-inclusive. They only go up to size XL, and since vintage commonly runs small, it usually fits as a large. Their main target customer are those size medium and below with no curves (no offense to those people, you do you). They also tend to get pretty expensive, even for contemporary pieces. With all that said, I only go shopping here for accessories, as those are worth visiting for. The people at the register can also be standoffish and rude, while others I've seen are more welcoming. NOTE: All sales are final. Note for those with movement issues: there is a single step to get inside, so heads up to those in wheelchairs. It can also get crowded on the weekends in the small store. Parking: free street parking and free parking lot a few stores down.

A hidden gem of the twin cities vintage world! They have such impressive inventory and so much of it! When I went I got a green izod cardigan, some funky high waisted brown girbauds and some dope glass orange earrings. Lots of cool vintage jeans and I found some cool sweaters when I went. A really cool selection of jewelry made my local artists as well! Note: They have changing rooms. Also a super helpful and friendly staff.

Eagle hair clip for my trip to Jackson Hole!

I've just recently started checking out some local vintage stores in Minneapolis and Rewind Vintage did not disappoint. They have super cool pieces that you simply cannot find other places. They have an eye for selecting pieces that are fashion forward but vintage. I wish they had a larger selection of XL/plus size clothing, but I will be back to check as more fall clothes come in. I ended up getting some super cute hair clips & pins. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful... it was a wonderful experience!

Omg! What an awesome vintage clothes and jewelry shop! My 17 year old and I wandered in after branching across the street at Hazels one Sunday. Normally I breeze in and out of vintage shops...mostly due to the musty smell but this place was lacking that particular odor that I abhor so much. It was nice to find it arranged by sizes and types of clothes. And I have to say, I am really impressed with the size of their guy selection too. They even had a small rack of little kids clothes. We were on a bit of time constraint so I didn't get to lollygag as long as I'd like. I still ended up walking out with two tops (which I was able to try on first in one of multiple dressing rooms) and some gorgeous filigree cut wood earrings. I will definitely be back and I have more time to search for some girly styles I just don't find in modern-day shops.

I love this thrift shop. It's like little treasure trove where you can find lightly worn apparel and accessories or even brand new home decor and local art. There's nothing like finding a one-of-a-kind piece that not every other person just bought from Target. Rewind has mostly women's clothing, but there is a men's section too. I've spotted amazing finds amongst their clothing, shoes, formalwear, home decor, accessories, and jewelry - which are all in great condition. Best of all, everything is very reasonably priced (ex: $15 blouse, $20 thick woven sweater)! The styles range from vintage to retro to contemporary. They also have fun little quirky things made by local artists... Like "$2 Boyfriends" and Steve Buscemi & Bowie prayer candles. Which I needed so badly. Other notes: There are dressing rooms. And if you're in line at Hazel's, pop in here while you wait. Also, sign up for their newsletter or peep their social media for their big sale announcements (biannual, I believe).

There was a bin in the back that was lower cost but it was mostly sweaters and shirts that weren't my style and not what I need at the moment. Nothing to bring me back here honestly but there are certain types of people that would love this. Prices seemed steep but it's vintage and they can get away with it.

Plenty of parking in the shared lot or on the street. You'll need to be buzzed into the store as the door is locked. Once inside the shop is pretty small and jam packed with stuff....almost too much stuff. It was hard to look at items and the vibe felt a little meh. I still wanted to browse and find something to take home, I'm not sure if I missed the memo for sizing on tops but it was hard to know which section I should be looking in. There were some great finds in there, but also pretty expensive. Previous reviews mentioning prices seem to be several years old so keep in mind that you'll be spending a lot depending on what you're looking for. I will say- if vintage is your style and you're open to what you wear this would be a good stop. If you're a little more picky and looking to save some money this may not be the best option.

As loving parents, we want to help them furnish their home with furniture they will cherish. Repurpose Republic has the best stuff and the best prices in the city. I know, because we spent all day checking out consignment stores in every nick and corner of the Twin Cities. (They're certainly not identical twins!) The proprietor Doug is engaging and informative. He has an eye for a pieces that are architectural beauties. Yet, he can also turn that basement throw away into something that should be displayed in the Museum of Modern Art. Repurpose Republic is the kind of place you want to return to often, just to see what new beauty shows up on the showroom floor. Unfortunately, Repurpose Republic was our first stop, and I was exhausted with all the wasted hours visiting other consignment stores. Save yourself some time and just "hit up" Repurpose Republic. It's the best.

While driving past after hanging out with my mom, I slammed in my brakes and whipped a U-ee. Lucky me with my good parking juju, I was able to pull in right out front. I love a good repurpose store and now living in NE I'm in need of some lighting that fits the whole cool Nordeast vibe. This store is chock full of mid century/retro/some redesigned stuff all without that old people basement smell. (Thank God!) This place has more mid century lamps in one store than I've ever seen in my life!! There are a few super groovy ones that would be a blast to have just for conversation it would conjure up all on its own. The con: maybe it's my jacked up NE Mpls rent I'm now paying or my lack of experience on the cost of retro lighting but I'm not sure I can afford these prices. Boo...because I had a good 5 different lamps/lamp sets that my heart was pitter-patterning over. I was able to chitchat with the owner for a bit before there was a sudden Saturday afternoon rush that poured in. I had asked "if it was consignment? Just him buying/reselling? Buy from others that bring things in off the street?" He responded with "All three" and let me know that he also has some local artist work displayed for sale as well. (Ya, this girl is totally into the whole "support local" thing!) I'll definitely be back to see what cools finds get added...and probably be back for a few lamps...after payday.

The owner (I assume she was the owner) looked them over while I looked around the store. When I went back up to the front, all she said was, "I'll pass." I was a bit surprised, so I said, "Can I ask why?" She said, "They have a strong dry cleaning smell, so maybe if you put them in the backyard or something." (I smelled them again and I honestly don't smell anything, but whatever.) I said, "Okay, so if I do that... is there anything here you'd take? Because I don't want to do all of that and lug everything back and you're just not interested." She very curtly said, "I don't know, I didn't really look." No smile, no "thanks for coming in." (Her associate who was working there was nice.) The whole time, she was just very curt and abrasive with me. And even though I was there to try to sell clothes, if she had treated me like that if I had walked in there to buy clothes, I would have NEVER bought anything from her. I definitely would have felt unwelcome and walked out. My negative review is not based on her decision not to buy my clothes. That's totally her decision - I was disappointed, but that's fine. My negative review is based on how she treated me. I felt she was very rude to me the whole time. I will not try to sell anything there anymore, nor will I go in to buy anything either. Minneapolis is the best, I repeat, the BEST city for vintage clothing (affordable, and otherwise) and June is a great addition to my usual rotation of secondhand stores. The owner, Daune, is really sweet, and the dressing rooms have two very important elements: red velvet curtains and flattering light. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SHOE RACK OH MAH GOD IT IS AMAZING. No, I'm really serious about this: Manolo Blahnik, D&G, Marc Jacobs, Ferragamo, Christian Louboutin, Te Casan...most run for less than $100 and are presented beautifully on high, white shelves in the back room. Great purses and wallets (Vivienne Westwood...oooooooooh), though those will cost you a pretty penny. The clothing racks are full of great finds, albeit some questionable ones (what is a Guess? denim miniskirt doing next to Oscar de la Renta?), but there's no way you'll leave here empty-handed. I bought: Marc Jacobs Black Nubuck Mary Janes ($45) Anna Sui Black Lace Goth-Style Dress ($55) Gold Sunburst Cocktail Ring with Blue Stone ($20) Do...you...have...ANY...idea...how much these items would cost in a New York high-end vintage shop?
