This is the Bloomies of thrift! It's a Gourmet Goodwill! Seriously-the place is huge, clean and orderly...the staff are friendly and helpful. I was super impressed with how easy it was to try on; do it yourself style, but so civil! I realize that the hippy be nice to everyone vibe sort of permeates the hood(I'm from Brooklyn-we smell the whiff of people pleasers ASAP), but still...wow. I found a great dress for about $8 and was super excited. How about I get to the register...it's on sale!!!!! FOUR BUCKS! Can't go wrong! read more

Beautiful large old building with ample parking. Large selection, few vintage items, though. Prices are higher than I'm used to paying in IL, but we found some good deals. Husband found some records and books and left-handed youth golf clubs. I found a few clothing items. What I noticed about this Goodwill is the amount of nice women's clothes. Nice small label brands. read more

After seeing Richard Scott's mention of this place and what he picked up there around Christmas, I knew I was going to have to check out this great outlet. And it is a great outlet as Goodwill's go, make no mistake about it. There were only 2 points of contention I had: 1) the donators in the parking lot dropping off things at the donation area *who don't know how to pull in close to the dropoff area and let other traffic by* (and subsquently the people who try and drive by and then *stop* right next to the other vehicles..,KEEP MOVING, drivers!) and, 2) predictably, the only 70% accurate filing of clothes by size -- finding S mixed in with XXLs and 36 pant sizes mixed in with 42s, etc etc. But that's not the staff's fault necessarily; many people are (random pejorative term) at putting their clothing back in the right place -- if they actually bother to take it back out of the fitting rooms. (I ended up clearing out an entire dressing room of about 20 articles, re-hanging them on hangars and moving them back to the racks just to have an uncluttered place to change). All that being said, I spent *3 hours* here...since it was my 1st trip, I wanted to explore and see everything they had. Came away with about 5 shirts, a nice Columbia fuzzy vest for about $4, a few kitchen utensils including a knife sharpening rod, and a great business tote that I could stick a laptop or papers in and had about 6 pockets on the inside. Total damage? Just over $20. Pretty amazing deal. The downstairs area has assorted furniture, sporting goods, and toys in various states of repair -- and luggage. Pretty decent luggage. If I ever find myself suddenly free to travel more often, I'm coming here for luggage for sure. Parking is also potentially available along Broadway as well. read more

The tidyness and organization of this place is stellar. I was shocked at how everything was structured in this store. The entire women's section looked more like a consignment boutique than a junk store (which is what my interpretation of goodwill had been before this experience). The basement is flled with furniture items, which you have to have a certain taste for, but they are cheap, cheap, cheap. Golf clubs out the wazoo! I found a shirt for $2.99 and a belt for $2.99 - I don't know how much cheaper you could get, but 80's prom, here I come! read more

I've only been to this Goodwill location in Denver and I continue to find myself coming back at least once a month. I needed to furnish my new apartment (and of course on a budget) so I turned to Goodwill for some help. I really like the layout of the store. It's very spacious and everything is labeled so you know where the items can be found that you're searching for. I've found several cherished items here and I've never spent an outrageous amount of money. I like coming here because honestly, you'll never know what you're going to find. They also have a downstairs area as well which the first couple of times I didn't realize customers could go down. Once I discovered so, I've ventured downstairs to check out what else could possibly become my treasure. The employees are very friendly and are usually in a close distance in case you have a question. If you're in the area and in an adventurously thrifty mood, visit this Goodwill. I can almost assure you that you'll leave with a least one treasure. read more

I live a block from this Goodwill, and frequent it on the weekends. Pretty much 50% of my wardrobe consists of Goodwill finds, and I dress pretty snazzy if I do say myself. They've been having 50% off Saturdays consistently - every two weeks. It gets crowded, there are no buggy's, and the dressing room lines are painfully slow. That's why I throw everything over my arm and head for the men's dressing room, which always has an open stall. ProTip: They're open late - like 9pm - so go shop late if you can! No crowds, no lines, you get a buggy for sure, and all open dressing rooms. It's quiet and calm and you can shop in peace. And, I have found better items on regular non-clearance days, rather than 50% off days which are full of mostly pass-items. Lately, I got a pair of $80 Aerosoles heels for $8. And over the winter I bought a $120 pair of London Fog boots for $12. read more

I come to this goodwill every time I visit Denver and I'm never disappointed. Great selection, fairly organized compared to some goodwill's I've been to and good customer service. read more

Let's get things straight: I am a sucker for thrift stores. I've been to a ton of them, in multiple states. The Goodwill on Broadway is one of my most favorite. I walked in & felt like I was in a TJ Maxx-esque store, based on the set up. I was looking for hiking pants, and found two pairs of athletic pants that can definitely make do. They didn't have a lot of outdoor-sports type clothing, but all of the things I tried on were in great condition. I also found two pairs of brand name shorts for $6. The housewares were unimpressive, but the separate book section was awesome! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it smelled pretty rough in there. I mean... I KNOW it's a thrift store, and Denver's been humid lately... but I worked at a thrift store for 2 years, and there are definitely ways around the "thrift smell." read more

I was really expecting a lot out of this store, especially when looking through all the good reviews. Maybe I'm just really cheap and frugal, but I was not impressed while looking through their clothes and seeing everything priced at 7 or 8 bucks. While they do have an amazing selection of clothes and shoes, and it was extremely well organized, I just couldn't tell myself that it was worth it to buy such an expensive shirt or shoes that I could probably buy online for that much money and not used. Also, their daily tags are lame too, when I went there only the purple tag was 50% off. When I go to the goodwill over in springs or pueblo, they have like 3 discount tags. However, the best thing about this place in my opinion is their paperback book deals. They're all just 99 cents. But the hardbacks are like 4 bucks, which I think is way too much of a jump in price. However, I'd rather just go to the one in colorado springs then anyway, cause their paperbacks are also 99 cents and only 1.99 for their hardbacks. read more

If you got Thrift Store style, this ain't the place to live it out. Indeed, a nice store. Clean including the bathrooms. They do have a smart book room at least it is appealing Excellent parking too. However, once inside the store- limited selection incluing "junk" available. The basement level demonstrates a poor selection of furniture- reminding me of being in a used tool store or similar. When out for a Saturday Slum, this one gets passed by. read more

This store used to have good prices and you felt they cared about their mission. Now, all they are interested in doing is as little work as possible, selling a few items way overpriced, and shipping the unsold items to other countries. So, if you want to donate items and you care and want to help your community, Goodwill is not your answer. read more

I love, love, love this goodwill! I'll start off by saying it's pretty big! There is an entire floor below dedicated to furniture, sporting items, etc. I've found some really nice work clothes here, from J crew, express and New York & Co. I'm not sure if Goodwill partners with a Target but I've also found items from Target with the tags still attached. I wish their book selection was a little bit larger and their men's clothing section is a lot smaller compared to women's (sorry guys!). There is a little bit of that "goodwill smell", but that's to be expected. The store is clean as are the bathrooms. I wouldn't recommend going on a Saturday, as their color of the week discount items are 99 cents so it's insane! I usually go on Thursdays which is when I've had the most look finding things. read more

Lots of parking and lots of inflated prices. This Goodwill is clean, spacious, open, and it almost lures you into thinking you aren't in a thrift store. Then you come across an oddly framed, not-quite-finished, embroidered dolphin picture and you remember you're at the Goodwill. If for some reason you did forget then the prices would seem quite normal and sometimes exciting. Maybe, just maybe you'll get lucky and find a deal based on their tag color series of deals. But when I come across a bookshelf priced the same or more than a new bookshelf, what's the point? Oh! Speaking of furniture, make sure you check out any furniture you buy here top to bottom. I bought two chairs that seemed a little overpriced but there was a purple tag sale and I was so excited I ran off with them as fast as I could. Yeah, they were very broken and had been poorly "fixed" into remaining chairs for about a month more; then suddenly one morning they became piles of rubble. I know shopping here is for a good cause, but thrift store shopping is for another good cause known as my wallet's diet. Right now my wallet needs all the greens it can get, so I won't be shopping at this Goodwill. read more

This is quite literally the cleanest Goodwill that I've ever been into, and it's always impressive. They cycle through more items here than a newborn does diapers. As a matter of fact, you'd probably find something here to help you out with that too! Additionally awesome, I love to stop by and grab a few new articles of work clothing and let the truck linger where it's parked for a couple of extra hours (after hours of course) because there is NEVER any parking on Broadway for a full sized truck. read more

So I am used to goodwills being pretty dumpy/run down. This is for sure the nicest one I have ever been to! You can still find lots of cheap pieces though :) I was very impressed with the large amount of non-clothing stuff that they had. I was able to get quite a few things for my new apartment...my favorite was a super small cast iron pan that I now use for a spoon holder on my stove! read more

I don't have enough good things to say about this Goodwill! We went by as part of my office's philanthropy day, to buy winter coats and blankets for the Denver Rescue Mission, and I was just so impressed. First things first, the parking lot is huge and easy to get to (especially as compared to the other Goodwill in town), and they have plenty of shopping carts right at the entrance. The store is organized very well and it was super easy to find what we were looking for. One of the employees asked us if we needed help, and when we told her what we were doing, she went above and beyond, helping us find some really great coats. Did I mention there was a real Columbia ski jacket for $7? It was also half-price on pink tags day, and the wonderful employee specifically helped us find those items. I can't wait to go back and do some shopping for myself! read more

Too many sketchy men inside the store. I asked an employee where women's ski pants would be located if they had any and she was pretty rude. They did not have good options here. It looked like a huge yard sale. I did not go downstairs to the floor where they carry furniture so I cannot comment on it. read more

Seeing as though I have way too many clothes I've been holding on to since college and wanted something productive to do today, I walked down here to check it out. I think this is one of the most well run Goodwill stores I've seen. It's huge and clean, and the place is about as organized as you can keep such a place. A good selection of clothes, purses, kitchen stuff, books, etc. read more

One of the better Goodwill locations. Prices went up recently, kind of a bummer for a scavenger. I prefer shopping at Arcs, but this is a shop well worth checking out. read more

My boyfriend and I are generally in search of anything but clothes at a thrift store... So I have no input on the clothing selection here. Everything else was a bit meh. We went on a Saturday, and the place was wall to wall with frenzied humanity... Not fun to shop amidst. The home goods, electronics, and furniture pickin's were very slim, and there were quite a few books but nothing to write home about. Not really our bag, but if you're looking for clothes it might be yours. read more

This place is awesome. If you have not ventured in here yet you are missing out! Throw all of your notions about Goodwill out the window...if you have any. This place is clean, open and a treasure hunt. Sign up for the email lists and once a month pretty much everything goes on sale for 50% off. Sometimes jeans are $1. Lots of good quality and little worn items. I bought a brand new Sax raincoat tags and all for $3! Just try it, you won't be disappointed. But if you do go on 50% off day be patient, it gets really crowded. Happy Hunting!! read more

I recently went to the Goodwill to look for a watch, like I have done for years. I was shocked when I found out they no longer give the brick & mortar stores any jewelery at all. The cashier said they are only selling via their auction site. Well it was the last time I will ever set foot in a Goodwill store. They are taking away from their loyal customer base for $$. read more

Hands down this is my favorite place to bargain shop! This location is two stories making it easy to spend hours here, if you're into thrifting. I feel like they have friendly staff and volunteers and half off days are the best! Love this store, keep up the good work! read more

This is a really large Goodwill off Broadway. Two stores of thrift store treasures. I also is really popular and busier than I have seen any Goodwill. They have an OK book section, although smaller than I hoped. At any rate, it has a lot of stuff in there. Go hunt and see if you can find a deal! read more

We have bought so many great pieces of furniture here. The best of any Goodwills I've been to. We always seem to end up here accidentally on half-off day. Very well organized and well stocked here. I even walked in after a meal at Deluxe with my fiance, and found just the shirt I needed for our wedding. I couldn't believe it. read more

I love shopping at thrift stores but I try to stay out of this one for one main reason - disorganization. The signs on the posts indicate one section but the section contains something different entirely. Then their racks are not in size order. Makes browsing a headache, especially, when you already hate shopping. read more

I have never been in a nicer goodwill and I have been to PLENTY of them. The lighting is soft and warm, the walls are brick, the floors are hardwood, and there is a cozy nook for reading in the book section. There is tons of stuff in here. tons of stuff. This goodwill puts others to shame. I see a new addiction in my future. read more

Goodwill Archer Store - book nook - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Goodwill? More like Greatwill! Okay, I just wanted to use that line. I was really impressed at first. They have a lot of high-quality items and everything is so well-organized and clean. It's a very large space with lots of light. They actually didn't have as much interesting clothing as I expected, and the prices were high on most of the pieces I did like. In the housewares area, I was actually disappointed there wasn't more weird, random junk to look at. That's part of the fun of thrifting. I appreciated the 99-cent jean sale, though. And the dog I met inside. read more

I've been here a few times and this used to be a good location, but they must be under new management because it's super gross in here now. It smells like someone's old musty apartment and they're trying to cover it up with bad air freshener. The shelves used to be fairly organized, but now they're dirty and look like someone just dumped their garbage all over them. This place is pretty disgraceful. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the apparent cleanliness of the clothing side of the store; I didn't go over to that side though so I might be wrong. read more

This is my all time favorite thrift store in regards to finding what I need. Better than department stores in regards to prices for obvious reasons. I have gone to multiple thrift stores. This is by far the best organized out of all of them. My only negative comment is the staff can be unpleasant at times but I am aware majority of them are volunteers for a good cause which is appreciated. Come here for reasonable prices on items, sometimes you can get lucky and find great high end brands. Recommend coming here if you are on a tight budget and need some great clothes. read more

Wait I am in goodwill? Really?? Let me double check ok right! Wow really cute stuff, dirt cheap!! Could it get any better I do not think so!!! Did you know they have a basement full of furniture, wow really! I love thrift stores but this one takes the cake!! Cute barley worn shoes $2.99, really cute pencil skirt $1.99 All I can say is I cannot get enough here! read more

This is the coolest Goodwill located in South Broadway! Oh my gosh, the quality of the items are in great condition, and the quality of the clothing is amazing. You can find almost anything here for the best prices ever. I think this Goodwill beats any other Goodwill that I have ever visited. I found a gorgeous antique perfume, a princess clock tower, and other Disney merchandise for the little ones at home! I think this Goodwill is also clean and the staff are the ultimate definition of fast and friendly. I walked out of those doors with happiness in my heart, and will be happy to visit again. read more

This was a big thrift store, but with plenty of room to not be suffocated. Well organized with the furniture tucked downstairs. I stopped by this location rather than my closest location, because it is also a donation center. Downstairs you'll also find a bunch of children's Halloween costumes. There is a big parking lot out back, although a bit confusing to get to. If you're unsure you're going the right way, you are, follow your gut, and then there it is. read more

This is probably the best overall Goodwill I have ever been too, out of several locations in CO [and some in WA, where I'm from, which are horrid..]. I have been able to score some awesome clothes for work, like JCrew and Gap pants, as well as furniture for my apt, dishes and kitchen items, etc, and all for a few bucks here and there - I dont know why this location gets such great stuff, but every single time I've gone in there [which is about once a week for the past month], I've had a great find! And on top of that, there are some of the friendliest, if not quirkiest, employees working there that always make it a fun shopping experience. We bought a love-seat and one of the guys helped us rope it to the top of our Subaru [scary drive, I dont recommend it!], for about a half hour out in the freezing cold - a big help, and he didn't have to. I love shopping Broadway, and always make it a point to hit Goodwill on my way down the street - it's definitely as good of a place to look as any of the other boutique [full price] shops in the area. read more

I've been to The Goodwill on both the West Coast and the East Coast, to multiple different stores, but this one was the best I'd ever been to. This Goodwill was huge, organized, had great and extensive variety and had awesome discounts. There is an upstairs which has not only the general sections (clothing, shoes, homegoods, books, furniture, toys etc.) but also an electronics and travel section. There were two floors. Everything was on the first floor besides the furniture section, which had it's own basement level floor. The book section, which had it's own separate room, was organized well and even had a table you could sit and read at. They also had quite the collection of frames and wall art. If you're a thrifter, this is the only place in town you need to visit. You can find anything you need here! read more

Best GoodWill around! Staff is always friendly, wearing masks and helpful. I see a lot of people give them a hard time and make their job a lot harder than it needs to be, but they're always kind! read more

My favorite Goodwill in the state! The hardwood floors, lighting and attention to layout give this Goodwill a hipper vibe, not to mention the fact that I ALWAYS find deals there on items that are of great quality and even name brand labeling. I like to shop for cycling equipment and shoes at this location because they always have a deep selection. Same goes for their men's clothing and their CD/DVD racks. read more

A Goodwill that is organized by size?! What?! We don't have that back home. And everything has a price on it?! Shut your mouth. I stopped in after breakfast at Denver Biscuit Company. Was looking for some comfy pants that I could walk around in the city. Didn't find any I wanted, but I did find a sweater. A bit overpriced for what it was, but I loved it. Nice staff. Not alot of what I wanted; therefore, 4 stars instead of 5. read more

Humongous selection. Always good for new unwrapped items to put away for Christmas giving. Cashiers are super friendly. I personally have a difficult time with how unbelievably crowded it is on the weekends, maybe weekdays aren't as bad. The outside workers treat the drop off items like garbage though. read more

I had an incredibly poor experience here. I bought a long sleeve buttoned casual shirt at the store yesterday for $4.95. It was marked XL on the Abercrombie label. I didn't try it on in the the store, dumb. I didn't keep the receipt, dumber. When I got home I put it on and it was cut way to thin and tight. I went back today to exchange it for something better fitting. The counter person had to call the Manager and a protege (I guess) to tell me "No". Bad answer. Dumberer. I simple "Sure" would have been a good business decision. With no inventory cash cost and heaps of stuff dumped there every day, keeping loyal customers should be a goal. Evidently not. I responded poorly with expletives and left the shirt. It's really unusable for me. I could have torn it or cut it up with scissors. I was furious. I didn't. So now, they get to make $4.95 twice. $9.90 and a lose a customer. Walmart even gives credit if you don't have a receipt, so we Come Back, Smarterer. I was General Manager of a large resort condominium in one of the major ski areas for 18 yrs. My staff had utter authority to solve a problem in the moment. A happy return guest is worth a lot of money versus the cost of of a momentary mishap. Their "Goodwill" is Priceless. Their Bad will can be Horrific. By Hospitality industry data, an unhappy guest will tell 14 people personally about their hassle. With Social Media, like this, the dispersion factor is HUGE, limitless. Duh GOODWILL very, very Bad Will. If GOODWILL really means that, their Credo is broken inside and needs fixing Yesterday. I'll go to ARC, down the street. Will Miller ezus4u@gmail.com read more
