I got something that might be considered a little "cliche" but the artist didn't judge me for it. He made a few recommendations base don his experience which were helpful. He did exactly what I asked and was very informative throughout the whole procedure. I felt very conformable with him. My tattoo is located right below my bikini line near my hip so it was painful but the artist let me take a few breaks in between the whole process which definitely helped. The outline didn't hurt as much as the coloring and shading did. After he was done he gave me instructions on how to take care of it and to call him if I had any questions. Overall it was a great experience and very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for first timers.

We called around, found a spot with an opening, and that's how we ended up walking into a tattoo shop -- and how I met Lo. From the start, Lo was super kind, patient (especially since I was very nervous), and walked me through the whole process so clearly. That first experience was so good, I followed him on Instagram right after. Fast forward a few months -- I was back in Connecticut and craving more ink. I looked him up and found out he was starting his own shop: Time Out Tattoo. Just last week, I went back again and got a bigger piece -- something I would only trust Lo to do. That's how confident I am in his work. The vibe at Time Out Tattoo is amazing. The artists? Talented and genuinely welcoming. However she was quite cold in demeanor and she just seemed like she couldn't care less about me. She lacked good customer service skills which put me off at first but I didn't mind. The tattooing process was perfect and I loved how it came out. Then she decided to not put anything on the tattoo and wanted me for it to heal naturally. She did this suddenly without any warning and she didn't ask my consent before she did this. She said this is how she tattoos all people who get their first tattoos because that's how she wants them to get used to the healing process. This was very disheartening because I asked the person at the front desk that I wanted Derma-shield or Tegaderm for my tattoo and I did not want it to heal naturally. Clearly the front desk person did not inform Elisha beforehand and this upsetting because as the customer, I have the right to request what I want to do with my body. I wanted this adhesive on me during the healing process because I wanted to be on the safe side and I didn't want my tattoo to get infected. When I asked for Tegaderm to be applied onto my tattoo specifically, she said she would prefer for the tattoo to heal naturally. Then I persisted and asked for the derma-shield and then she relented and applied the derma-shield. Although she didn't wipe down the area properly and there were bits of Vaseline on the tattoo (you never put Vaseline on a tattoo and it's because Vaseline traps bacteria in the wound of the tattoo which increases the likelihood of infection). I left disappointed and upset and I didn't pay attention to the process perfectly because it was my first time tattooed and this all happened very fast. Elisha said I could call her afterwards to ask any questions about the tattoo and I did. I called her for 5 minutes and she answered my questions. I forgot to ask some other questions and I asked them and she then became quite rude. She told me to stop asking so many questions and that it would be fine despite her horribly messing up the Tegaderm application. I really disliked her attitude and her impulsivity, arrogance, coldness, and carelessness ruined the tattooing experience for me. Avoid this tattoo parlor at all costs because this is not the right place for anyone to get a tattoo.

I had a tattoo done early in the summer at the edge tattoo in south windsor by a guy named Kevin who completely messed my tattoo it looked terrible. I was so embarrassed to even show it. It was my first tattoo so i did not do all my research like i should have. So having a messed up tattoo was partly my fault for not looking into it first. Long story short after much looking and researching i found ironically a guy named Kevin at guideline tattoo that assured me that he could fix it and make my tatt look so much better. It took me a while to actually go back and get it fixed i was so scared that i would end up with a messed up tattoo after this there was no turning back it would have to stay like what ever it ended up looking like. Well i am so happy to say wow I ended up with such a good tattoo Kevin was so nice and willing to work with me to make me happy with my tattoo. I let him know this was going to be my only tatt i was not going to get anymore! He honestly worked so hard on it to make it look like what i wanted it to look like. I know it is not easy to fix up someones tattoo specially when it is so messed up. I finally love my tattoo and it is not even finished yet i still have to go back and have him put the color on. I would also like to inform everyone that the tattoo that i had before many tattoo artists did not even want to fix it. They just told me to cover it up with something different, others told me that they could try to fix it but the face could never be fixed because it was already so messed up. Well thankfully Kevin was able to fix the face and everything else. I will post a pic when the tattoo is finished.
