I had a tattoo done early in the summer at the edge tattoo in south windsor by a guy named Kevin who completely messed my tattoo it looked terrible. I was so embarrassed to even show it. It was my first tattoo so i did not do all my research like i should have. So having a messed up tattoo was partly my fault for not looking into it first. Long story short after much looking and researching i found ironically a guy named Kevin at guideline tattoo that assured me that he could fix it and make my tatt look so much better. It took me a while to actually go back and get it fixed i was so scared that i would end up with a messed up tattoo after this there was no turning back it would have to stay like what ever it ended up looking like. Well i am so happy to say wow I ended up with such a good tattoo Kevin was so nice and willing to work with me to make me happy with my tattoo. I let him know this was going to be my only tatt i was not going to get anymore! He honestly worked so hard on it to make it look like what i wanted it to look like. I know it is not easy to fix up someones tattoo specially when it is so messed up. I finally love my tattoo and it is not even finished yet i still have to go back and have him put the color on. I would also like to inform everyone that the tattoo that i had before many tattoo artists did not even want to fix it. They just told me to cover it up with something different, others told me that they could try to fix it but the face could never be fixed because it was already so messed up. Well thankfully Kevin was able to fix the face and everything else. I will post a pic when the tattoo is finished.

Everyone in this shop is patient, open minded, totally willing to work with whatever you want, upfront, honest, and knowledgeable. Though the shop is family friendly, please understand that language is used loosely, and it's a room full of people getting stabbed with needles. You may hear a few colorful words- but that's the business that you've walked into. Can't say enough great things about these guys. Just go meet them yourself for any tattoo/piercing needs.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved getting my tattoo at Rock City. Every step of the…read moreprocess, from my initial consultation to discuss design to the actual tattooing itself, was absolutely perfect. I even have a short follow-up scheduled three weeks after my appointment so they can take a look at my ink after it has healed and to go over areas that may need some touching up. I get a real kick out of talking with people who are passionate about what they do, so my hours in the chair with Kevin just flew by. I'm a relative noob (this was only my second tattoo), so I'm sure I must have been asking the most ridiculous questions, but everyone in the shop seemed eager to share their expertise. I don't know how many more tattoos I will be getting, but there is no doubt in my mind that I'll never go anywhere but here.

I've had ornery tattoo artists in the past, but Matt is patient, a lot of fun, and also a real nice guy. The price was fantastic. I come from NYC where tattoos are $200 an hour, sometimes more. It was nearly half that here. One hell of bargain considering the quality of work, expertise, and relaxed environment. Also I was very happy to see a very clean and sanitary work space. Matt took great care and doing everything by the book. I highly recommend this place. Considering there's not a lot of tattoo shops in the vicinity of Storrs, it's great to know that the one that is, is really great.

We called around, found a spot with an opening, and that's how we ended up walking into a tattoo shop -- and how I met Lo. From the start, Lo was super kind, patient (especially since I was very nervous), and walked me through the whole process so clearly. That first experience was so good, I followed him on Instagram right after. Fast forward a few months -- I was back in Connecticut and craving more ink. I looked him up and found out he was starting his own shop: Time Out Tattoo. Just last week, I went back again and got a bigger piece -- something I would only trust Lo to do. That's how confident I am in his work. The vibe at Time Out Tattoo is amazing. The artists? Talented and genuinely welcoming. It's a space for everyone -- girls, guys, gays, theys, and everyone in between. Whether you're looking for something delicate, bold, or completely custom, I highly recommend Time Out Tattoo. I don't even live in Connecticut... but it's the only place I'll get tattooed now. Huge shoutout to Lo -- thank you for creating such a special space and for being an artist people can actually trust.
