I came here yesterday to get some work done. Matt was my artist and he did a fantastic job. He has a real eye for dimension and color. I've had ornery tattoo artists in the past, but Matt is patient, a lot of fun, and also a real nice guy. The price was fantastic. I come from NYC where tattoos are $200 an hour, sometimes more. It was nearly half that here. One hell of bargain considering the quality of work, expertise, and relaxed environment. Also I was very happy to see a very clean and sanitary work space. Matt took great care and doing everything by the book. I highly recommend this place. Considering there's not a lot of tattoo shops in the vicinity of Storrs, it's great to know that the one that is, is really great. read more

I scheduled a tattoo appointment a week ahead of time in person. When I got there i waited 50 minutes for a tattoo while Matt worked on a different client before i walked out. Extremely unprofessional. Also, I guess the piercer was absent today but every time walk-ins were turned away or he finished a phone call he proceeded to talk shit about the customer to the client he was tattooing. I came here to get my ears pierced (normal lobe piercings) and the piercer herself was great. She was super sanitary and kind during the whole piercing. However, the jewelry she put in my ears was super cheap. It fell out of one of my ears after about 2 days and when I went back to get the earring replaced, she charged me 25 dollars!! That's ridiculous because I didn't even touch the earring except to clean it. Then a few days after I got it replaced, it fell out again! I do NOT recommend getting pierced here. And if you do, get the actual jewelry somewhere else read more

Matt is THE BEST tattoo artist to go to!!!! He has done all three of my tattoos, and many other people's I personally know! I will completely admit I am absolutely awful with pain. I cannot handle the pain of tattoos what's-so-ever! He has fun, and you can truly tell he loves what he does! Which is why I love Matt so much! He makes fun of me and laughs at me, and does not get irritated by my complaining of the pain. I've been going to Matt for years and I will continue to go to him. He's friendly, and he really does amazing work. He takes pride in his work and the cleanliness of his shop. I recommend him to everyone I know. Not only does he do amazing, quality work, but he's quick and efficient. He only takes cash payment, which is ok because I'm sure if I was able to use a credit card I'd be in serious debt haha. Last Saturday I got my right tragus and left rook done here. At first was very satisfied. Everything looked great! After about 3 days I experienced significant bleeding from my rook piercing, which ended after one day. However, my tragus piercing became infected after only 5 days, and I was very strict about cleaning it. I currently have immense swelling and pain and am antibiotics and may have to have it surgically removed since my skin has begun to grow over the piercing and bury it into my cartilage. Extremely disappointed and hoping to get my money back. read more

He has a style all his own, making even the most traditional piece stand out.
