First time at Goodies. Heard about it through the Yelp app. I got the Hog sandwich (pulled pork), side of green beans and coleslaw and a piece of corn bread. Very pleased with my meal. Great bbq. Great sides. Reasonably priced. Staff was super nice and accommodating. I'll be coming back! read more

Check your orders before leaving. I've been here multiple times ( the food is on point) but they have never NEVER gotten my order correct. I either have gotten something completely different that what I ordered or have asked for medium or large sides to be given smalls. I've actually gotten fed up with it so I'll order a pulled pork ( hog) sandwich and 2 sides and hope I get something good. Welp last time I got a full slab of ribs and 2 random sides for the price of a sandwich. I'm fed up with it so the loss is in their dumb asses. read more

Best ribs anywhere and I've eaten them a lot of places. Second to them is Nick's bbq in Arkansaw if you ask me. Sides are good, not great, not bad. Pretty decent quality. I would check my bag for accuracy. That's my review. read more

Wings were pretty good but too salty brisket sandwich I asked for extra extra lean it was half fat and it was top round not brisket that happened three times I don't think they even have brisket there but they're selling it as a brisket read more

Best bbq I've ever had. They know how to smoke meat like no one else! I've been eating here for 15 years, this new location is the best! We ate in for lunch, service was fast and friendly! I ordered a small rib tip with a side of collard greens. It was $12. I ate until I was stuffed and still had leftovers for dinner. The catfish is also legit. Everything I've had here is good. But the rib tips are always on point! read more

Not so sure why They have such good reviews or why it was recommended to me for bbq. However this is my second time giving this restaurant a try after years. (The first time was a super fail because I had ordered beef ribs that were literally mostly bone and no meat. I slightly recall them not having the best of customer service either, but agin that was years ago!) So I was really craving some beef brisket and decided to order the beef brisket on plate through Doordash. One for myself with mac n cheese, coleslaw and cornbread on the side. My mom also ordered the beef brisket with okra, mashed potatoes and wheat bread on the side. What i received was not that AT ALL. These people seem Careless and Inconsistent. What we received was a few pieces of brisket on a sandwich bun, my mac and my coleslaw and moms mashed potatoes . Oh and her extra "wheat bread". The brisket was ok. The bbq sauce was ok, reminded me of Montgomery inns bbq sauce. The mac n cheese was DISGUSTING.(and thats pretty bad coming from a long standing soul food restaurant). The coleslaw was average. Moms mashed potatoes tasted like instant box potatoes (her words) Nothing spectacular. Mom didn't get her okra and was not notified that they were not sending it/out of/needed to be replaced or ANYTHING!!! Id suggest this biz get on top of things and pay attention to detail. I wont be back and I wont be recommending unfortunately. read more

Today I bought some rib tips and they appear to be old and recooked. I have taken a picture for Facebook so people can see what I'm talking about. Im novice cook that loves to barbeque. Rib Tips should not whither and get tough from a car ride from Goodies to Blue Ash. This was awful and I am not doing Goodies again. read more

The atmosphere is older but has been remodeled. There aren't many people eating inside so it's strongly encouraged to get the good to go. There are many options on the menu but everything needs to be bought separately. Because of that your meal can get quite expensive. As for the quality, the food is average. The ribs don't have a lot of meat but the sauce definitely helps. The side items are quite good, I had the yams and they reminded me of real southern cooking. If you are really craving bbq it's worth the stop in, but I would recommend traveling to Eli's if you have time. read more

Really good barbecue place for our family lunch. It was 2pm Saturday Black Friday weekend, and we got a hankering for BBQ . They hooked us up. For 5 adults, we got large ribtips, large beef ribs, catfish, small chicken thigh; large sides of macaroni (which is homemade mac n cheese), yams, okra (fried), green beans; and medium collard greens and coleslaw, about $90. The catfish (cornbread crust) was everyone's favorite (surprise! We usually don't like fish). Coleslaw so fresh, nice balanced sauce, not too much vinegar or mayo. Collard greens v nice, not bitter. Rib tips so good... more meat on beef ribs. They smoked turkeys for three families this past thanksgiving. We'll use them to cater family parties in the future. Furnishings were old, the place is humble, but clean enough. read more

I've lived about two blocks away from Goodies for a couple years and apologize to myself and them that I've never tried it before today. I went for the first time and was blown away! The employees I talked to were AMAZING. They made doubly sure my order was right, gave me their recommendations, and were so welcoming, courteous, and nice. On top of that, the restaurant interior looked great, I loved the music, and it smelled delicious. I told my wife that even if the food was bad, I would consider coming back. Of course the food was NOT bad--it was delicious! I got a pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich with their sauce, a total of four sides, and two pieces of bread--all for a surprisingly reasonable price. All of it was delicious, especially the brisket, okra, and collard greens. If you're in Mt. Healthy and haven't tried Goodies, don't wait like I did--check it out! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and intend to be back SOON! read more

Goodie's is a bad business they keep saying how their standards are high when it comes to their food the only high standards they have is the price of very nasty food they should be ashamed really of that dirty hole in the wall from the inside to the outside they really needs to stop lying about the high standards when all they do is open a can of cheap greens or yams and they frozen cornbread you can tell they trying to keep the money in their pockets and take it out of yours please don't waste your time or money I guarantee you will be very very disappointed read more

Goodies have great food! Love their barbeque and the sides. The Mac and cheese and the greens and ribs are amazing. Go there for time to time to take the family to eat and they always enjoy the food. Pretty cool staff as well. Nice convenient location with big signs up so you can't miss the spot. I highly recommend if you haven't ate there yet you should try it out. I'm pretty sure you'll love it to. read more

I love me some barbecue, and this place hit the spot! Rib tips: a little dryer than we'd hoped, but still delicious flavor. Greens: great. Potato salad: good. Brisket sandwich: a little dryer than I'd hoped, but still tasted SO good. Macaroni and cheese: SO good. Could have eaten a big ol bowl of that! Pulled pork sandwich: great. Green beans: good. I got their mild sauce on my sandwich, and it was a little hot. So, I'm not sure if I accidentally got hot or if I am just a baby! Ha! The taste was still so unique and delicious that the heat didn't slow me down, though! Staff was great and helpful. Place was clean and neat. So, I would definitely recommend this place, and will definitely be back to try other menu items! read more

Goodies - Dine in meal for three: rib tips, brisket sandwich, and pork sandwich. SO good. - Barbeque Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

The pulled pork sandwich deals are actually sliders. They are so small, you'll lose your appetite. The sandwich taste is good. But I wouldn't waste my money on the sandwiches specially if you wanna fill up. But I can imagine the ribs are good. Potato salad was good. Mac & cheese was worse then KFC. You supposed to be black owned and have tasteless Mac & cheese... like I could of opened a box of Mac & cheese and got the same flavor. read more

The buttons on my largest shirt are fighting for dear life. Got the rib tips and beef ribs and they were fabulous. Sauce (on the side) is on the sweet, vinegar, tomato side, super tasty. Sides were great, packed with flavor, they balance very well with the main course. Very generous portions. Service and ambiance are superb. Great local spot and unique local flavor. Can't wait to come back!! read more

I had rib tips here for the 1st time at a friend's party. They were too good so I had to get some for myself. I was excited to find out that the greens are really good too. The best thing is the large portion sizes compared to the price. The rib tips I order are a small size. Check the pic. This is the size my friend ordered for a party of 7 and it was enough to go around. I'll keep coming back. They've made a loyal customer out of me. Friendly customer service as well. read more

Goodies - "Small" order of rib tips. It's huge - Barbeque Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

My biggest issue was not getting the food I paid for and the lack of a refund or anyone who cared to follow up with me to provide one. It was also about the quality of your food. I eat fresh food everyday so I know when it's not fresh, it's more than seasoning the food, if the food tastes dry and old. Interesting the owner never responded to my complaint of missing food, only that people have different tastes. read more

I would come here just for the sides. The almost perfect ribs is a bonus. The sauce is good, not exactly my thing but it's served on the side Memphis style. I was so impressed I want to try everything on the menu. I wavered between 4 and 5 stars. Those greens and red rice and beans pushed them into the five column. read more

Went to goodies last week the ribs were not the same no grill flavor tasted like it had been pre broiled and the bbq sauce was vinigary. Very disappointed read more

This little neighborhood joint is the real deal. All the locals come here for good food and familiar faces. Just like a scene from a movie, people walk in and talk to each other like they've known each other for years. And maybe they do. It definitely gives you a sense that this place is a staple in this community. It's not the nicest spot or trendy by any means . More like a well worn sweater or reliable tool you keep around because "they just don't make them like they use to." I would say that Goodies has that feel to it. Warm, friendly and worn. But it works. Ok, so let's talk about the food. We had the rib tips, which was recommended by the waiter. He assured us that the portions were generous. He wasn't kidding. We ordered a medium plate of tips that came with 2 delicious sides and we almost couldn't finish. Almost. :) We are already talking about trying the other specials that were tantalizing our curiosity. This place was one for the books. read more

The service? Amazing! The food? So good. We drove out from the city to go here and it didn't disappoint. We ordered small rib tips, and a huge plate stacked with meat arrived. The cornbread is a must too. This place is amazing! We were worried since we just moved here from BBQ central, but so happy we tried Goodies! I highly recommend. read more

I was able to stop in and grab the tip special with a side of potato salad. They are currently serving to-go only. The staff was friendly and I got my food in just a few minutes. I did not get out of the parking lot before I had to try one. It was VERY good. I also got the mild sauce and when I was able to put that on, at home, wow was that good. I had to wrestle the potato salad away from my wife to get some. As you may have guessed that was good too. Can't wait to go back and try more off their menu. read more

We had seen the sign as we passeed and I am always looking for a good BBQ spot. From all the reviews I expected better. There was one person working and she was not the friendliest person, when my girlfriend asked what she would reccomennd, she kinda smirk and said anything on the menu, but with the hurry up and get it done. The food was ok. The ribs my girlfried got were overdone and my chicken was tastless and the skin was gooey. The sides we ordered were just ok too. The mac and cheese was the best but the green beans were flavorless and mushy. All in all I expected better, read more

Not a bad place to get a decent meal.I always get the rib tips. They can be a hit or miss. For the most part the food is ok not good and definitely not great read more

The "Middle plate" ribs dinner I ordered wasn't bad, but the barbecue sauce really was the very best thing on the plate. It was served in a cup on the side while the ribs were not hot on delivery (used DoorDash) and were served without sauce on them. The baked beans were very good too, but were not hot and that small cup they were served in was definitely not a serving, but more like a tablespoon full, if that! The sweet bread was ok, but cold too and the coleslaw was nothing to write home about...and the banana pudding was just that, banana flavored pudding with vanilla wafers in it, but no bananas! I'm not sure if I will order again, but if I do, it will definitely be in person so I can say yay or nay to whatever they put on my plate before I dole out my hard-earned cash. read more

I don't know how this place has good reviews, very disappointed. I got the Small tips plate. Good portion size. But dry and tasteless. The hot sauce was decent. Only ate 2 pieces and threw the rest away. Sides were Mac and cheese (tasted like boxed velveeta), and mashed potatoes (tasted like air). Ate one bite of each side and threw that away, as well. The corn bread was dry and tasteless. Literally spit out the one bite I took. SO disappointed, I was really looking forward to this from the positive reviews. Gross. read more

I've been here now twice this month and can't get enough of this place. If your looking for a nice place for BBQ, check this place out. It's sorta hard to locate if your going for the first time. They don't really have their own parking lot, but you'll find parking nearby. The interior is bland nothing too special. Plenty of seating inside--Its never really busy inside when I go. I've ordered both times an small order of rib tips and mac-n-cheese. The tips are so delicious and plenty for an small order! The mild sauce that comes with adds to it. You'll usually wait 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it is but it is well worth it! read more

this is the worst barbecue restaurant ive ever visited. they totally screwed up my entire order and the food i received was trash. i ordered barbecue grilled wings and i received over cooked fries wings which were extremely nasty and flavorless. there green beans were awful and the mac and cheese should be an embarrassment. the chess pie was horrible. i spent over $50 for my entire order. ‍‍‍. never again will i revisit this establishment. i guess i will be going to city barbecue for now on. ‍ read more

The best ribs I've had in Cincinnati. In fact, the best I've had anywhere, including Memphis, KC and Dallas.

Stopped here last nigh for dinner. Some of the best Q that we have had. Was nice that Tony (I'm assuming he is the owner) came and checked on us to see if everything was good. I had the brisket plate and my wife had the short ribs. Both were fabulous the sweetbread was great. Coleslaw was great. Tony even gave us recommendations for seafood places for my wife. I would recommend this place to anyone who comes to the Cincinnati area. read more

Man I really wish I could have given that 5th star. The skinny: I got the half rack with mild sauce, mac n' cheese, mashed potatoes, and sweet bread. The sides: fire. Straight fire. I'm talkin slap yo mama good. The mac n' cheese was super creamy and super cheesy. The mashed potatoes, unbelievably good. Best I've ever had hands down. The sweet bread: just right. Perfectly moist, not to the point of being greasy, but not crumbly. Just perfect. The ribs: kind of a let down. The flavor was good, but man it was dried out. I was picking pieces out of my mouth thinking I had bone shards but it was just dried out meat. Now this was at 7:30 or 8:00 in the evening so I'd be interested to see how that same rack of ribs looks like early on in the afternoon. Feels like they got the meat out, put the rub on, and then left it on the smoker overnight. The smoke flavor was different. Not bad, just not what I'm used to. Almost tasted like pine instead of your typical hickory or mesquite. I will say the sauce brought it back to life a bit. The ribs by themselves weren't the greatest, but paired very nicely with the sauce. That was my first go round with this style of sauce. Definitely more southern/vinegar style than something like a KC or Memphis style sauce. I dig it. Will definitely be back for the brisket. read more

As a KCBS Master Certified BBQ Judge, I've had a lot of brisket and Goodie's was some of the best I've ever had. yams & green beans were pretty good sides too. Thank goodness Goodies 'rides again'. This Mt. Healthy location is at least the fourth location I've followed Goodies to. While the original owner and maker of the sauce has retired to Florida, his son (stepson) is really going out of his way to continue and improve the tradition. Service has improved, place is clean, with tablecloths, banquettes, table service with a staff that seems to care. And the food? : the tips are to die for, the pulled pork I could eat til I burst, the brisket is great if you can get past the pork. Other reviews have mentioned the meat being dry: while that's true, the great taste layers they're building over the open fire make the dryness easy for me to tolerate. The sauce (hot) is not very hot to me and I just love the enjoy it while I'm juicing up the meat. The sides, esp. the red beans and the greens are killer. Don't forget the peach cobbler! read more
