I am saving this spot for a 5 star review when I have time. I honestly thought I had already…read morereviewed these guys. But read on for my hot 'takeaways'. These guys are fantastic, they care about their employees and their customers. Each order comes with a special note, which shows the care they give to their customers! All their food is fresh like it was picked from the garden that day! Each mouthful is delightful. Each meal is affordable. Even if you want to try five things these guys make it affordable. The menu changes with the seasons but continues to stay excellent and never falters with bringing the flavour and new excitement for our tastebuds. Allowing us to enjoy something new and being confident that it will fantastic no matter what. The menu is also very large so no matter what you feel like whether it's a healthy filling salad or some cheesy comfort food, these guys have you sorted! Every dish is great. They cater to all dietary needs without shaming you or ruining the meal because you need something gf (high quality alternatives are available which is so rare normally). Everything tastes so fresh and gives your saliva glands a marathon. My personal faves are the potato and dill balls, the chickpea omelette, the veggie frittatas and the 'chicken' and chips. Also highly recommend purchasing ALL THE SAUCES!!!!! Especially the green one and the aioli! The buffalo sauce is my friends favourite and if you like a bit of sweet chilli they have you covered. Thank you veggo sizzle for all the love and help and amazing food. This is the perfect place to order yourself some food for a picnic, a Netflix and chill date or grabbing a quick bite to eat in-house.

The Immunity shot is absolutely stunning, I loved it very much. (Be warned it is extremely hot). The presentation and portion size of the dishes are prefect. Their sizzlers menu is very flavorful. Totally recommend this place. I interacted with the chefs and they were very nice and friendly. Huge shout out to the chefs for the yummy food and service.

Across from the Adelaide Market Place parking on the sour side of Chinatown in the heart of the…read moreCBD, this Star House Chinese Restaurant is a great location for a quick Dim Sum snack or a full onset of cuisine or meal with small friends to large family and outing. There are 7 outside patio tables seating up to 4 chairs and about roughly the same tables and seating inside where you are cooled from the summer heat or foot traffic. Friendly server will guide you on your meal selection unless you're an advent DimSum goer, you already know the drill. Typical SiuMai to more courageous Chicken Feet with Black Bean sauce, they have a whole sleuth of selection to choose from. I didn't stay long enough to experience the more crafty Chinese authentic cuisines, but from the dim sum themselves, I'm pretty sure they will be as excellent. We ordered a few items to try out this DimSum place: -- Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce (very tender and savory) -- SuiMai Pork (very flavorful and fresh) -- Steamed Ox Tripe (tender, no too hard or soft and juicy) -- Beef Tripe with Ginger sauce (steamed to perfection) Recommending this place if you're ever in town here in Chinatown!!

We were looking for a place for dinner and this one was busiest of the first group so we dropped in. While the service led much to be desired (sat quite a while before we even got menus) we were very pleased with the taste, quality and price of the food. Most of the standard entrees are under $15. We would not hesitate to go back. I especially enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken in its bright red/orange sauce as well as the lemon chicken. The steamed rice was cooked to perfection. Recommended.

It seems like a lot of the pubs are now truncating their names to make them sound more hip and…read morehappening, which is probably why the Cumberland Arms is now known as The Cumby. Mind you, it is probably not so much the pub, but the patrons, that end up giving the pub a new name, but I digress. I've been here a couple of times and I must say it is okay - I've certainly been to better places with a lot more character. Once again it is one of those pubs that I have known about but rarely visited (which may have been a good thing). However I do like the place, especially the beer garden down the side, but it is not a place I would go out of my way to visit. They do make a decent meal as well, but it has been quite a while since I came here with friends for a feed.

As far as pub locations in the CBD go, the Cumby (or Cumberland Arms Hotel) is a great destination…read morefor lunch, drinks or dinner. I have frequented here the past few weeks on a Friday for a burger and a beer ($20 special as at July 2016) and I've tried both the Cumby burger and the chicken burger. Both solid choices but the Cumby burger is the winner IMO. There are occasional beer specials on tap, and the service is great - quick, and always friendly, even when they're under the pump. There's a lot of history in this old building, but the current legend owners have given it a proper push into the 21st century with upgrades including a huge beer garden with all the trimmings - big tables, great looking booths, a big bar and ginormous TV for the sports fans. The Cumby is well worth a look if you're in the area, and a top stop even if you have to put on the hiking boots! Get around 'em folks.

Ever wanted some 'dirty American' food but can't find it because you're vegan or eat gluten free?…read moreWell fret no more because Two-Bit Villains is here to save the day! Two-Bit Villains is located in a beautiful, yet often overlooked, area of Adelaide - upstairs in the Adelaide Arcade. One of the things I love here is that they provide separate menus for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan (alongside their 'regular' menu), so if you follow one of those diets you don't have to scour through the menu to find something you can eat. A nice little touch that makes everyone feel included! The owners Sass and Liam are also lovely people who really care about making their food good - and good it is! I have to say their onion rings are top of my list for best ever. Their vegan menu will even have carnivores salivating - everything truly is delicious and so well put together. And be aware - if the menu tells you something comes in a large cup - it really means LARGE (try the massive mocha, it's delicious)! A highlight of TBV for me is their home made soda. The flavours vary from day to day so you get to try your luck for something different each time!! Fancy it up and make it a float for extra deliciousness. A great, friendly place for a quiet lunch or a cool drink. Head in and see for yourself!
