Pulled pork burger and the chips that came directly from Gods kitchen
Carla S.

Sounding like it stepped out of a Frankie magazine and has a full fringe and rides a fixie to work Dear Daisy is a Yelp darling which I finally frolicked to after I heard a bit of positive chatter about it from fellow reviewers (thanks Pablo!). Fabulous menu it was love at first bite, especially since the love didn't beat my wallet as hard as I thought it might being a bit of a hipster haunt. Amongst the array of goodness I found the rare and elusive tofu scramble, a menu item that's few and far between. It was absolutely brilliant! Addiction at first bite! My partner in crime got their pulled pork burger and I swapped my salmon for his sweet as hell sweet potato chips. They were amazing and I hoarded a few in a takeaway to snack on later that day. It all tasted fresh and healthy with almost no oil in any of the dishes I tried. Coffee was divine and I'll be back, what more can I say, just a wonderful experience.

The fritters

This place is such a suburban gem that I want to keep all to myself. But it wouldn't be fair. Dear Daisy is always such a pleasure to walk into, friendly service, lovely setting and great food. Really good food. We have been here for both breakfast and lunch, we were not disappointed. For breakfast we had the quinoa zucchini fritters with poached eggs and bacon. It was delicious, lovely clean fresh flavours and no greasy feel. Even with the bacon! Eggs were poached perfectly it was like creamy flowing lava. It was served with tomato chutney which was I think is house made. Great complement to the dish. At lunch we tried their pulled pork burger, soft brioche bun packed full of well marinated deliciousness that is pork. We've been back since and could not fault this place. Coffees are good too. Definitely one of my fave places for brunch now!

Cappuccino and choc walnut brownie

Dear Daisy is a great addition to the growing number of cafes in the area. I dropped in for a coffee and brownie one afternoon and was so impressed that I returned two days later for lunch. I ordered a honey roasted pumpkin and quinoa salad and my husband had a smoked salmon Turkish bread sandwich. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is served all day and the plates I saw being delivered to other tables looked tasty. The coffee was great again and the service was fast and very friendly. We will definitely be back!

The beans and The benny with a banana smoothie and a iced chai

My family and I have been discovering new cafes to go to for breakfast and I would have to say dear daisy has been one of the best if not the best! The beans were to die for and the iced chai, wow! I had The benny myself and that was superb! My mum had The Floz add salmon, I didn't get to try it because she ate it all up before I got a chance but from what I heard it was pretty good! And last my dad ha The beans which were defiantly to die for! They were the best beans I've ever had, homemade has always been said to be the best! My dad also for a banana smoothie which was a different fast to any if had before but it was pretty good!! The only down side is the parking, it was hard to find a good park.

Consistent coffee

Super friendly staff. Good, consistent coffee. Open from 7am weekdays - suits my morning commute. Low-key location. Top notch.

Suburban cafe hidden on a side street off a main road? Check…read more All day breakfasts? Check. Chef with a dessert loving fangirl population spanning most of Adelaide? Check. This is Chef Quang's new venture after he shut the doors to his Devour Dessert Bar in July earlier this year and it's starting to make me wonder why he didn't explore savoury any earlier in his career! Now any chocoholic out there knows how good Devour's desserts are smokin' but trust me when I say that his breakfast menu is one to make you swoon. From bircher muesli to a multitude of eggy delights there is something to suit every brunch muncher. Don't forget to check the specials of the day either! My dining companions excitedly devoured corn fritters with salsa, baked eggs and a steak sandwich but I knew I had won the food envy stakes that day with my poached eggs on rye with smashed avo, mushrooms and pesto dressing. Eggs were perfectly cooked and everything was fresh and filling with the perfect bread to egg-goo ratio. Coffee lovers will find 5 Senses here and cold drip, filter and more if you fancy. Service is incredibly quick and direct to your table and the atmosphere is light and not too busy (yet). And for all those dessert fangirls out there don't worry, these guys are now shutting at their cafe at 4pm everyday and re-opening as a dessert bar from 6pm every night.

When I initially…read morephoned up, I was told that it would be 15-20 minutes, so I left about 20 minutes after calling since they were around the corner (3 minute drive, or so) and got there to find the order was not yet ready. I was told that it would be 5 more minutes, but instead ended up waiting about 10-15 minutes in-store and saw what seemed to be my pizzas just being put in the oven. Putting this into perspective, there only seemed to be one large pizza in the oven before mine. When the order was finally ready, the pizzas were handed to me and the regular chips were taken out of the hot bag, which I never actually saw go in the hot bag to begin with. So I went on my merry way, happy that I finally got my order. Once back home and ready to eat, we first tried the chips and found they were very bland, dry and almost cold, as if they had just been heated in an oven, and the sauce that came with it was some type of brown aioli which was not nice at all - straight into the bin. Moving on to the pizzas, now, I'll give credit to the fact they had a reasonable amount of toppings on them and in no way were lacking, but when I went to take a bite out of every piece, the topping completely slid off the pizza. The base was very average and didn't have much flavour, and the crust was burnt black to an inch of its life. I still finished my pizza given that I'd just paid $14 for it, but the other one was about half finished until it joined the chips in the bin. In saying this, I think if the ingredients were improved and weren't so flavourless, then it wouldn't have mattered so much. Another thing that was a little annoying was that I had to wait in-store even longer, almost double the time, when they could have just told me 25-30 minutes over the phone and the expectation would have been set there. To be fair, this isn't the worst I've had and I've given some credit where due hence the 2 stars. However, after spending $35 in total, it was quite disappointing and I can't say I'll be going back. ...and please, remove the hot chips off the menu.

Seems like I had a better experience than the other two reviewers…read more I went here because I had bought a special deal voucher for them. A wine and small pizza or pasta each with greek salad and garlic bread to share for $30. Very good value. The pizzas on the other tables looked good although I do note that they use the typical take-away pizza ham that is all cut up in uniform sizes. The garlic bread and wine came out first. Garlic bread wasn't traditional garlic bread but rather, a pizza flatbread with garlic and cheese. It was tasty but I thought we would get traditional garlic bread. The wine was fine. I had the margarita pizza. I always judge pizza places by their ability to produce a well made margarita pizza. Their pizza was good although the base was a little thick for my taste - I like nice thin bases. The base was nice and crunchy with a soft pillow on top - not doughy or dry which was great. Also wasn't too tough either. For a "normal" medium base, it was quite tasty. However, the pizza was so salty!! It's now been about two hours and I'm still guzzling water! My friend ordered a pasta dish. It was huge but my friend said it was very tasty - she almost finished it but not quite. She was very satisfied. The place was busy with a big family taking the main table and a few other couples. The staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. For the price we paid, we can't really complain - it was good enough for the price but it was very very salty.
