OK, so, now, for just one moment, I want you to forget everything you know about take away pizza…read more EVERYTHING. Crust will completely redefine your understanding of what a pizza should be. To be fair, we're not talking a $7.95 budget pizza from one of the big chains - you do pay for what you get here - but I chuckled when I read the mention of a michelin star for pizza - god, this place deserves it. We made absolute gutses of ourselves here, with a half peking duck half pork belly top shelf pizza, a seafood pizza, a kids cheese pizza with bacon added, and a garlic pizza - all of them were exceptional. We tried to order online, which failed repeatedly - apparently because we're in Athelstone. Maybe someone should tell whoever's writing that site that people WILL drive all the way across town to pick up the best freaking pizza on the planet. In the end we ordered over the phone - we were told 20 minutes, which is pretty much exactly how long it takes to get there from here. When we turned up the order was just coming out of the oven - spot on 20 minutes - to be honest, I would always rather have an exact time an order will take, than be told 15 and wait another ten when you arrive. There was a small problem with our order, garlic bread rather than a garlic pizza - which was rectified in less than five minutes by the very apologetic store manager. Given how busy they are on a friday night, I didn't even need the apologies given how quickly the order was fixed - spectacular food AND customer service - seriously, what more could you ask for. Crust is way trendy - staff making the pizza's on full display, and every one I saw made looked just brilliant - there's a rack full waiting to go through the oven and the whole team is right on the ball refilling topping bins, packing pizza's, taking orders. We'll be back - given there's leftovers for lunch it'll probably not be this weekend, but based on how flavour filled the peking duck & pork belly offerings were, I absolutely *HAVE* to try the tandoori chicken. If you look on the website you can see top down photo's of the pizza's - unlike so many places I know, the food looks like the pictures. Try it, seriously, incredible pizza.

I have been known to drive 10 minutes from Parkside to Mitcham because I love my usual so much. Also I hate being disappointed so rarely bother trying anywhere new when it comes to pizza unless it I've tried it first. Enter last Thursday night's focus group... I went to a Body Image talk last week - a group of women trying to work out how to help young girls and women of all ages feel better about themselves in the face of constant pressure from the media to look rake-thin and preened to the hilt. Our host decided we should eat pizza while discussing the topic. New to the block, Crust, came to the party and offered her a special deal. WELL... I have never heard so many women rave about pizza as much as that night. There were a couple of traditional pizzas, but I dove right into the gourmet selections, 15 inches of pure heaven for $24. On offer was a Moroccan lamb topped with mint yoghurt and lemon, Wagyu Prawn, Peking Duck and Five Spice Pork Belly. If a pizza store was ever to get a michelin star, this would be the one. The delivery guy didn't have any extra menus on him when he delivered, so I dropped in yesterday to grab one from the rack out the front. Guess what we're having tomorrow night??

Unlike the…read morejunky shit offered by pizza chains all over the state, this little pizza shop cares about what they put on their dough. Although they're a little pricier than your average pizza chain, you can expect a better bang for your buck. I'm sick of ordering pizzas from places like Dominos, and opening the box to find a couple of measly slices of pepperoni. Tusmore Pizza knows better, and make sure the dough is covered in toppings. The topping selections are extensive and gourmet, and you can choose to have ingredients like artichoke and sardines on your pizza if you so wish. The sizes are also varied, with small pizzas enough to satisfy one, or family size options to cater for many (or for a few, if you want to stock your fridge with leftovers).

Having said that, when it comes to a fairly decent delivered pizza, this place has earned my respect. After two dismal failures with other places... I found the toppings tasty (loved the touch of basil) and the crust nice :) The only thing that worried me is that for $46 delivered, there should've been a garlic bread and a bottle of coke thrown in. The delivery guy followed instructions to reach my place and had the right change on him and answered a question I had adequately.

The pizza maker was wearing gloves and handling food, but the trouble is he kept wiping his hands on his dirty trousers. Food has gone downhill. Won't go back there. The previous owner Adrian had a personality. The new owners have none. Since writing this review, I mentioned my concerns to a doctor friend, and he said he had a similar experience. He saw them wiping their gloved hands over their clothing and then putting their hands back in assorted food trays. He won't go back there either.

However, for what Sugo is and what they provide, 5 stars. Not your typical pizza bar. I ordered (by recommendation) & paid via Menulog & received my first occasion shopper 10% discount - all went well. I arrived at the exact designated time and the pizzas were hot & ready to go! The gentleman serving us was lovely, polite and professional, and we parted with a joke, a nice guy. My partner also wanted a half chicken and we were surprised with by their reasonably extensive menu. Roasted Lilydale chicken, which was well seasoned with a beautiful flavor, a small choice of salads and roasted vegetables, and the usual offenders like chicken wings, schnitzels, desserts/drinks etc but with a few surprises, like polpette which are quite uncommon, the latter my meal when I next visit. The Margherita and Siciliano pizzas I ordered were commended by my children. They weren't paper thin, like a recent trend where the pizza is just too thin to hold anything, but still quite thin & well formed, not oily and base well cooked, with tasty ingredients. I couldn't find fault in what they presented us with!
