Funky chicken serves up good birds but our 7:30pm visit here meant we caught one that was a bit dry. The chips are heavenly golden and big cut, as was previously mentioned. The salads are the winner here with beetroot and fetta, pumpkin and spinach, tabouli, greek and plenty more to choose from - again though get in early to get the pick of the crop and not left overs. Service was super quick and friendly and the price was good for a chicken shop. Overall, not the holy grail but definitely a contender should some of my other regulars be out on one of my fat wreck Friday type days.

One that I have already reviewed is the best, being Chicken Chef on Main North Road, however Funky Chicken on Duth Street isn't too far behind. The chicken is fine and all, it defeinately passes the 'skin' test.....but the one thing that sets the big boys apart from the pretenders is the chippies. You are so lucky to be set in such a beautiful little neighbourhood, so close to the industrial train lines but tucked away amongst all those cute Goodwood cottages. Although your prices are a little bit more than your standard cafe, the choice you provided was great for lunch. And you must have known I'm a fan of an all day brunch too. Dear Daisy occupies the space left by the Leah St Deli and is right on the tram line next to the Forestville tram stop next to the hairdressers. I've popped in and out of here a number of times for coffee and have been most satisfied with smooth flat whites and spicy long blacks and am always pleased with the sparkly service and cheery staff. The menu here is catered to the breakfast/brunch crew (all day breakfast, huzzah!) but Dear Daisy is developing a great lunch menu. The selection features all your standards for brekkie and lunch has a mix of wraps and rolls as well as some great specials (pulled pork buns, zucchini fritters anyone?) and over the past week since its opened I've seen the menu change and evolve. Lunching here I had a pulled pork bun with coleslaw with potato salad on the side, the pork was soft and tender and the potato salad had pickles (yay!) with yumminess all round. Pricing is quite reasonable and on the cheap side for the Goodwood area. Hands down, these are the best drunk meal I've ever had on Hindley St. Forget about Pizza Rev. These shaslicks are so good they have a Facebook group with 70 plus followers solely devoted to them.
