Marwan is an amazing body worker! I had been meaning to get a massage for myself for my birthday and I was about a month late but it was 100% worth the wait because the massage I got from Marwan was the best I have ever had. He really took time with his intake form and chatting with me before the massage to understand what I was looking for. I carry a lot of head/neck/shoulder tension from my desk job + leg tightness from a lot of running & weight lifting. Marwan addressed all of my problem areas and the tension felt like it melted away. He is both communicative in a way that made me feel comfortable and also very intuitive and seemingly applied the right amount of pressure to each area of focus. I highly recommend him and will definitely be back! read more

Had a wonderful experience! He was soooo friendly and welcoming. The massage was great, and he was very professional. I like deep massages and he definitely didn't disappoint. I felt comfortable and completely at ease throughout the appointment. It was so good that I kept adding more time because I didn't want it to stop! One thing I really appreciated was that during the last 10-15 minutes, he would give me a heads-up about how much time I had left and ask where I wanted him to focus with the remaining time. I really appreciated that he made sure I got the most out of my appointment. Would definitely recommend! read more

I came in for a massage 5 months post partum with a very tight posterior chain including neck, back, hips, thighs and calves.. before coming it I was sore and hurt to get up and down from the floor because of tight hips, knees and ankles, I truly did not know how tight I was until during the massage and now how I feel after. I just got down and up from the floor with my daughter with no limitations in my hips, knees or ankles.. I never been able to do that pain free since she was born despite all the stretching and work outs Marwan is a healer and very professional 10/10 would recommend read more

I first saw Marwan 1.5 years ago for a birthday massage, and it was hands down the best massage I've ever had--which is why I've been coming back ever since. His intake process is thoughtful and thorough, and he creates a space that feels safe, warm, and deeply relaxing. Marwan is kind, funny, and genuinely attuned. I always feel like I can fully unwind and be myself on his table. As a massage therapist myself, I'm especially discerning about bodywork--and Marwan is who I trust for my own care. When I'm looking for something specific, he's a generous and skilled collaborator. I always leave feeling listened to, well cared for, and more connected to my body. read more

Marwan, the massage therapist of Good Vibes, is an amazing, gentle, safe, soulful person who brings intention and integrity to his work. His massage space is comfortable, and he has posters on the wall about consent and boundaries. I appreciate that he lives his values in his work and makes them visible in his space. Marwan is a very skilled masseuse and works hard to ensure his client is getting the full benefits of the massage, through the coaching of release and breath work. In this way he is very attuned to his client, not just going through the motions of massaging one's muscles. I can't recommend him enough. read more

Today was the first time me and my partner had a massage in months! We booked Marwan for a mobile service and he literally came on the dot at 2:30 which was our appointment time. He was super caring, kind, and wanted to understand what we needed before starting the massages which makes a huge difference than someone just starting to squeeze your arm without knowing a thing. My boyfriend has some pain on his right shoulder and Marwan relieved that pain. I also feel amazing! Highly recommend for anyone looking to treat your body right! read more

This massage was a gift in more ways than one. My partner found Marwan and paid for the massage. But Marwan's skill, kindness and knowledge was the real gift. I've been getting massages since my early 20s (more than 35 years) so I know when someone is tuned in. Marwan is a healer. A combination of deep tissue, more gentle work, and even esoteric healing. He instinctively knew when to increase pressure on the stuborn muscles and when to pull back. His studio is a little oasis on a hill with a lovely view. I just happened to have a late afternoon appointment. So when we finished the sun was setting over the Bay. Thank you Marwan, for a healing experience. read more

It was amazing!!! I will definitely be back for more. Marwan is so kind and caring!!!

Was trying to make appointment over the phone he answered and I was asking to make appointment and for some reason he hanged up on me.. that's not nice! I tried texting again explaining I was interested in making appointment and again no answer... I'm confused but if that how he treats people I definitely not interested anymore.. read more

Superb healer. My husband was having shoulder pain and Marwan really helped get him out of pain.

Great massage, but getting to the studio is not for someone with pain in their back or legs. Lots of outdoor winding stairs and a doggie door entrance. I am a large woman, suffering from degenerative arthritis in my lower back and a torn ligament in my right knee. The massage was 4* because the problem in my back was unresolved after the body work. The review is 3* because of the difficulty I had in getting into and out of the studio. read more

I had the absolute pleasure of receiving a deep tissue massage from Marwan, and I can honestly say it was one of the most healing, grounding experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, Marwan created a space that felt safe, calm, and deeply attuned to my needs. His intuitive understanding of the body, combined with a gentle yet incredibly effective technique, made for a massage that went far beyond physical relief--it felt like a reset for both body and mind. Marwan was attentive, respectful, and checked in throughout without ever disrupting the flow. He found and released tension I didn't even know I was holding, and did so with a presence that was both professional and deeply compassionate. I left feeling lighter, looser, and profoundly cared for. If you're looking for someone who brings not just skill but genuine warmth and intention to their work, I cannot recommend Marwan enough. This was not just a massage--it was a gift. Thank you, Marwan. read more

Being a very experienced bodyworker myself, I'm a very discerning client. Marwan is truly one of the most gifted bodyworkers I've had the pleasure of receiving from. He holds a high value around creating a consensual container and empowering the person on his table to co-create their experience with him. His presence is soothing, patient and grounded. His touch is deeply attuned, skillful and healing. I HIGHLY recommend!!!! read more

Marwan is an incredible masseuse. Friendly and professional from beginning to end, he truly made me feel welcome and safe to let go of the intense stress I have been holding on to. His studio is a beautiful and unique environment, with a breathtaking view. He was very attentive to what I needed from the massage and made sure to incorporate all the right points to leave me feeling restored and rebalanced. I also think his values as a person of great character stand out to me. Overall, I don't think you could go wrong with Marwan, 10/10 would recommend read more

I had an incredible experience in this studio- Marwan has an amazing space and is an outstanding body worker. He's intuitive and intentional and just understands the human body instinctively. My physical and emotional body felt so much lighter afterwards and I was floating on air the rest of the day! I didn't understand what a healer was until I met Marwan. After my massage, I felt like I could breathe again for the first time in a long time and it was like he took off the yoke of chronic pain I've been carrying for a while. Every massage before this felt like a waste of money. I'm so happy I spontaneously decided to treat myself to a birthday massage and got to meet Marwan. Before we started, Marwan spent time getting to know me and how I felt that day and how I wanted to feel after the massage. I've never had a massage therapist do this before. He listened intently and was very proactive in assuring me his studio was a safe space and encouraged me to speak up about my needs. It meant a lot to me given I'm usually someone who always gives but struggles in asking for help. He was so respectful and very proactively checked in on what I'm comfortable with and not comfortable with during a massage. The massage itself was absolutely healing! Marwan truly engaged my body and worked in a way that was intentional, gentle, and effective. He wasn't just going through the motions of a routine massage like other places. The whole time I felt so relaxed even when he was working on my knots given he did it in a way that felt like a continuous firm stroke against my body. I could tell Marwan was very careful with my pain and he cared deeply and worked hard to make me feel better. His studio was very serene as well with the soft sheets, calming music, and soothing scents. I left that table feeling better than I have in a long time. I've already recommended Marwan to at least 5 friends given how amazing the experience was. If you're considering it, book Marwan and I have a feeling you'll be leaving a similar review yourself. Btw, he will provide receipts for those of you who want to expense the massage as company wellness reimbursement or to insurance. read more

Marwan gave me the best massage I've ever gotten in my life!!! And I've gotten many over the years!!! He's not like the typical masseuse... He actually cares to listen to what your needs are... Helps with breathing during massage!!!! I left feeling so much better!!! He even sent me some stretches that I incorporated in my daily routine, to help with the pain I was experiencing. I cannot wait to get another massage from Marwan!!! Thank you for your great healing hands!!!! read more

I was in need of a really good, and effective massage! Lucky for me, a friend suggested I give Marwan a try. I have double scoliosis and do strength training. Between the two of those things I absolutely love when a massage therapist is knowledgeable and skilled. At the beginning of our session, Marwan led me to a very nice and serene room where the massage would take place. He took the time to intently listen to me about exactly what I was experiencing in my body. After our discussion, he left me to prepare for my massage. When he returned he told me to feel free to provide feedback so that I could have the best experience possible or feel free to relax. He did an amazing job! Well before I got off the table, he was able to relieve my problem areas and provide great relaxation while doing so. He is professional, kind, personable, intuitive, and skilled. I will definitely be coming back and recommend Marwan to anyone seeking a great massage experience. read more

I recently had a massage by Marwan, and wow, it revitalized me! I had a baby in December, so with that, comes very interrupted sleep, all over aches (especially in my back and neck), and just not a lot of self-care. Marwan picked up on this right away and asked what I was seeking from the massage because he wanted to make sure that I was well taken care of. It was nice to chat beforehand; that made me feel more comfortable. He said he could apply various levels of pressure and he often checked in to make sure I was feeling my best during the massage. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep at one point! I tried to fight it, too, because I didn't want to "miss out," but honestly, it was perfect and just what I needed. Marwan's that good! He is also kind, respectful and has a very calm presence. Highly recommend! read more

I am so glad I booked an in-home massage with Marwan. So, so glad. I have had a stressful past few months. I used to have massages fairly regularly, once or twice a month, to release tension and muscle soreness acquired during my figure skating training. But I haven't had a massage since the pandemic until this one and was initially worried about inviting someone into my home. I'm also transgender so safety is another concern. Reviews of Marwan's massage work were already encouraging me to give him a try by the time I started reading through his website. I filled out the new client form which inquired about COVID vaccine status and also asked clients for their pronouns (giving he/him, she/her, and they/them as options). This helped put me at ease before I even met him that Marwan was likely someone conscientious of public health and aware that he might have some queer clients who aren't comfortable with binary pronouns. I scheduled an appointment online. Marwan and I conversed a little via email on the days leading up to my appointment, mostly about how to find my home and other logistical information. Marwan arrived right on time, eyes smiling (that was all I could see since he was wearing a mask). He'd texted the day before to ask if we could meet 30 minutes early so we could talk prior to my session, and that turned out to be a really great opportunity to get to know more about Marwan and his massage methodology and practice, as well as for him to get to learn about me and what I was hoping to get out of the session. When it came time for me to get onto the table, Marwan excused himself to the bathroom so I had privacy while removing my clothes. I let him know when I was ready and he returned. Nice and simple. Marwan encouraged me to be vocal during the session, to let him know if I needed more or less pressure, if something hurt that he should move away from, and tell him about areas that were tender. I'm not super accustomed to talking much during my massages, but he has such an inviting personality that it felt more conversational than clinical. He also made a note of areas that felt especially tight, locked, or inflexible and reminded me to breathe deeply throughout, which I appreciated. He used coconut oil infused with lavender (the latter of which I'd noted was my favorite fragrance on his questionnaire) and brought his own speaker to play calming music. I'd double checked beforehand that he was amenable to cats (he said he actually loves them ... whew!), but my partner still sequestered the needier one into a room during my massage to avoid interruptions. After our session, Marwan returned to the bathroom to wash his hands while I got back into my clothing. He said he'd send me some exercise recommendations so I could continue working on my muscles in between massage sessions (which he did a couple of days later), packed up, and I paid him (according to his website, he accepts cash or Venmo, and I paid in cash). This massage was a professional and enjoyable experience, from start to finish, and I look forward to scheduling my next session with Marwan, whether it's at my home or a visit to his studio. read more

Marwan is a healer! I had a pain in my shoulder for YEARS that I've gone to chiropractors and other massage therapists to try and resolve. One session with Marwan and the pain is basically non existent now. I have seen him 3 times now and I can say that I will keep coming back. I even had him massage my mom, that's how much I trust him. He always asks before engaging with your body and is so respectful of boundaries. He's both strong and gentle at the same time. The experience is also important to him, and he has a variety of essential oils for you to choose from, heated table, calming sounds, and sets a really relaxing mood in his home studio. You can't go wrong booking a session with him! read more

It has been years since I took a moment to treat myself to a good massage. I was a little nervous for a short moment but thankfully Marwan's calming persona quickly put me at ease. My experience with Marwan was a blessing. I am so glad I had this experience. He is extremely professional! He took the time to ask me about my experience with massage, about any issues I was having physically and more. He spent extra time speaking with me seemingly to help the relaxation process begin which is hard for me. I felt so comfortable in his presence. The process of relaxing came quickly with his calming touch. Carefully examining my body and tenderness in some places. I highly recommend his service at his location in Oakland. The location has a very relaxing feeling. Thank you for the Good Vibes Marwan! read more

Had an amazing in home massage from Marwan! I was experiencing a lot of hip/glute pain due to lifting too heavy and was looking for someone experienced with trigger point release techniques. Marwan was prompt, professional, and made sure I was comfortable during the massage. His massage was the right amount of pressure and tension to relax stubborn areas. I really appreciated the post massage instructions he provided continue to mobilize the area. Will definitely book with him again! read more

This review is overdue. I had a massage with Marian a few weeks ago when I was in the midst of an acute lower back muscle spasm. First off, Marwan has a very good understanding of muscle anatomy and was able to locate and treat the exact spot of pain - something I've found other massage therapists have a difficult time finding. Secondly, he has a great massage space. I really liked it that it was in the warm side as I tend to get a bit cold. I can see why Marwan has a full calendar of appointments and why people have left great reviews. Five stars from me as well. read more

Marwan is intuitive, skilled and deeply rooted in his desire to heal. he touched my body with a depth and care that I didn't realize I needed. he'a a great communicator and the encouragement for authenticity and truth telling was medicine. I booked an appointment today for 10:00 am. I requested mobile service because it was an option. I end up getting a text that he didn't have a car to come to me but 5 would be a better time. I then ask could I come into the office instead and he said No One is available. If no one is available why have that time slot open? A simple block the schedule for whatever time or day no one is available to work would suffice. Thankfully I found a place in Castro Valley that was able to accommodate me. Hopefully you can get transportation so you can work. read more

Marwan, does a great massage and is very professional and knows a ton about wellness, I highly recommend his services.

I saw Marwan for first time for 1.5hr massage. He gave me some extra time to find out if I had any muscle groups I felt pain with or if I had stress going on. I asked for medium pressure, got medium pressure. Great technique. Integrating relaxing and physical therapy. He's just different. It was both relaxing and he focused on areas that were tense or tight. Really great attitude. I've had the whole range of massages in terms of quality and I'd say he's high end. The massage is worth the drive to the neighborhood. Enjoy. read more

I came to Marwan's table with back pain and some forearm tendonitis, and received a great massage from a skilled practitioner. Marwan is excellent at his work, and also opens up a good line of communication where you feel reassured to let him know if the pressure is too great or there is any pain. His space is well-appointed to be relaxing and he pays attention to smaller but important details like the temperature of the room and table. From my experience and reading the other reviews, Marwan seems to also make it a point to share care and maintenance advice to avoid further injury in the future and keep your health moving in a positive direction. read more

Marwin is amazing! I had a massage with him because I had been having a lot of tightness and pain in my upper back. When this happens to me, if I don't take care of it, I usually start to get migraines. Nothing I did on my own worked. I found Marwin on yelp and his reviews were so great I contacted him. I had a 90 minute massage which was both relaxing and healing. The next day the pain in my upper back was gone! He is very easy to feel totally comfortable with, and it was clear from the questions he asked and the observations he made that he is not only an expert but a very caring person. read more
